Transforming Age

I have lived here for 2 yrs. and find it to be the best move I ever made. The warmth and friendliness when you walk in the door invites you to stay. The other residents are like an extended family. It really is home. Please check us out and join our family.

My mom was at the Gardens for 7 years until I had to move her to a dementia family home. [Names removed] and all the staff are absolutely wonderful. There is very little turn over and there is always staff available if there is a question about anything. My mom was an avid gardener and helped with the yard in the summer to keep her busy. The social gatherings in the dining room is great and keeps them from isolating themselves. I would put any member of my family in this wonderful, caring home. To the woman who was afraid of whatever because it was started by German immigrants: Don't be silly. That's completely ridiculous, but if you feel that way, don't use their facilities.

I have no complaints about the care that my wife has been receiving since she made the move into this community. The staff are all very friendly and always attentive to her needs at the best of there ability. I love that they have a in house doctor and a great nursing crew so I don't have to take her off campus to appointments. Overall it has been a pleasant experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

This community has nice walking trails. My father in law has a gorgeous apartment. This community seems a little more active than other communities in the area. They keep the community clean and they are going to be remodeling some of the common areas. He seems to like the food. I have found the staff to be nice and they were helpful while we were going through the process of choosing a community.

My tour of Tradition went very well. It was a very nice place with kind people. It ended up being too far from the area that my mother wanted to stay in, which is the only reason we did not choose it.

We are residents at The Reserve. Our unit is 2 bedrooms/2 bath. We knew no one but wanted it to be easy to get to know others and have activities without leaving the building. We have made many new friends and take advantages of the card games, occasionally dinner in the dining room and the many outings made available to all. We love the location as we can walk or ride bikes on the trail right behind us. It made not be perfect for all, but It was definitely the best move for us.

My mother has been recently transferred into the memory care unit at this community and so far I have been pleased with the care she has been receiving. The staff are very encouraging on helping her improve her nutrition and make sure to spend as much one on one time with her as they can. I also notice that every time I go to visit the facility is very cleaned and well maintained.

I did tour this community. This was a reasonable option in value. The staff were nice and friendly and answered are questions. We were not able to see the food. We did see the activity room and it appeared to be alot of activities for everyone who is willing. I recommend this community for families to check out all that is offered.

We recently moved my my Dad into a Independent Living apartment at The Rivers in Burnsville. I was worried he would struggle with the transition from his previous home of 30 years. It has gone much smoother that I thought it would. The staff at the Rivers is great. They communicate well and are very friendly. My dad likes the community. So far, so good.

During my tour i was able to get all of my questions answered. I was given a proper tour of the community and shown the activities that are offered. There were a lot of wonderful residents on site that were nice. One thing i really liked was the complimentary meal that the community offered. Everything was organized and overall i had a great tour.

The first time I given tour I was impressed with the friendliness of the people. The smiles of the people who were already living there. While on my tour I was impressed with the many different activities that are for through out the week. You can chose to participate or not. The activities are not expensive at all. The independent 55+ individuals are a very active group. They have a table with bulletin board with activities for the month listed of what is going on, a file with the apartment numbers special announcements. Calendars to take individually to put up on refrigerator in your apartment and a menu for Heather Manor. News of what is happening in the elevator and activities and classes are in the elevator and upcoming events in elevator too. The elevator is like a moving news board changing all the time if you live on the second or third floors. The first floors it is posted around on the bulletin board. Their is no way a person is not kept informed of what is going on activities wise. Word of mouth is probably the other biggest way, because we all love to talk about everything.

This community is our second choice. We may be moving my mom here once her dementia progresses as they offer a high level of care. The community is bigger and brighter than the one she is at now. They offer a wide variety of activities.

The staff are friendly and willing to help with anything. I have participated in a few of the daily activities offered. I have not had a chance to try the food yet. I would recommend this clean and well taken care of community.

My parents are settling in nicely at this community. Mom is a little more involved in the activities offered. They have a garden community for the residents to participate in. The staff are friendly and have been great. The community is well taken care of. The food is good and one of the reason they chose to move there.

We can say that the staff at Tradition all strive for excellence. Our comfort and needs are met with enthusiasm and a desire to care for every detail. The apartmeent was in excellent condition when we moved in. Our desire to enter into the life of apartment living has been an enjoyable experience. We hope to stay here for many years and would recommend to our friends.

The staff is very nice here and they always go out of their way to help when needed. The residents here are very personable and nice too. There are lots of fun activities for the residents to participate in and the residents seem to love them.

My parents have been living at Traditions for 4 months. They really like the people and the staff. My parents had to make a few adjustments and Traditions was very helpful and willing to make the changes. They enjoy the food and all the activities offered. And the bonus is their apartment is 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms. That was important to them. A quote from my dad "I'm very happy here."

Beautiful setting, right next to a gorgeous park, walking trails, lake, ducks, geese. Also a great private courtyard for residents only! I toured and loved the place, quiet neighborhood, friendly atmosphere, lots of activities for those who care to partake in them. Highly recommended!

My wife has been at the Waterford Manor Assisted Living Community for a little more than 2 months now, and so far I have been very pleased with the choice. The friendliness of the staff is one thing I noticed right away... and still do! I am impressed with the quality of the nursing care and the creative activities that are part of every day life at the Waterford. The physical surroundings are warm and inviting, and the cuisine is exceptional.

Heathers Manor is the place I would have wanted my parents to live at (they are both deceased now). They are compassionate, caring and have a lot of fun with activities.
