Transforming Age

My husband and I have lived at Heathers Estates for 5 years. We enjoy the many activities and busing to get around shopping. Our new friends are great, we have had a lot of fun just doing what ever we want.

I have lived at the Heathers Estates for several years. One of the reasons i picked the community was because of the beautiful private court yard and all the walking trails at Bassett Creek Park. The neighborhood is very quiet and I enjoy every day I can be out side.

My loved one lived here for a while, until she had a fall and needed more care. It was a very nice place. It' s independent living, and just really nice. You buy in and then there is a monthly maintenance fee.

They are very friendly, have a lot to do and accommodating to the family. They try very hard to incorporate the new residents. My parents have been there a month and a half, The staff are very sweet and most of them already know my name. They keep in communication with me and the food is very good which is a big deal for my parents.

My mom has lived there for the last year. Her only complaint is that she didn't do this sooner. She loves the food, she even tells the Chef on what she is craving and they have made it for her. She is never in her apt when I call, as she attends most of the activities. The nursing staff does special things for as the staff is always very helpful and always happy to help you with anything.

Waterford Manor is a very nice place. We only toured and did not end up choosing them, but from the experience that I had when we toured I would give them a very favorable rating. The only thing I did not care for about it is that it is kind of in a bad part of town, and that just made me a little nervous.

A wonderful place for care, but they do not have 2-bedroom accommodations

The apartments are very spacious. The Reserve has nice amenities such as a full service dining room, underground parking and a full calendar of events. The place is kept very clean.

We really like the property. It's really great for my Mom. You really like the layout because it's flat. It's very safe. It's an older property. They really fixed up very nicely. My mom is in assisted living. She now gets fed balanced meals, that taste very great; care quality is great. Her medications are given on schedule every day, so we don't have to worry about her getting the correct quantities. She also gets help with her bathing, which is fantastic. The location is very close to doctors and hospitals, and to me, and it's pretty close to my work. The staff is really phenomenal; very caring, and very patient. The business side staff really all work very closely together, so that they know their residents very well, and I have had no problems.

We moved my mother-in-law into the indepent living at the Rivers and the staff could not be more helpful. They are easy to deal with. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. My mother-in-law was unsure of this next step in her life but the staff at the Rivers has made it easier for her to adjust. She said she should of moved a lot sooner. She is so busy with all the social activities I do not have to worry about her being lonely anymore. I would recommend the Rivers to anyone. It is very clean and has an uplifting feeling as soon as you walk through the front door

Alma Via of SF is quite large, with three floors, two wings on the 2nd & 3rd floors dedicated to Memory Care. The staff here are caring, professional, and most of all, make the resident & family feel like family. My mother is in the Memory Care Unit for dementia. Here, they have excellent activities throughout the day, engaging the residents in fun activities they enjoy. The Gardens are quite nice, roomy, and very clean. The other residents appear to be very happy and well cared for. The Assisted Living areas are like being in a large hotel. The main dining room is quite nice - our family has had several meals there - good food & lots to chose from! I highly recommend Alma Via of San Francisco for your loved one.

If you would like a comfortable apartment with complete kitchen and laundry facilities in your own spacious living quarters, then this is the place for you. You can be totally independent, ,eat all your meals in a fine dining room or receive assistance and have your meals delivered. This will mean additional costs for you The staff and the residents are friendly and helpful. We genually like our home and friends here.

It's a wonderful place, they were outstanding! I highly recommend them. Their food was pretty good. They are not set up to deal with residents that may have violent tendencies. I liked that it was small with a very family atmosphere, their staff was very compassionate. This is for the memory care, not the assisted living.

They had a new manager take over, There are concerns with the changing of the staff schedules, and there was some turnover, and I know some of the staff isn't happy with that either. I chose it based partly on price point, as well as how clean, and welcoming, and how good the care was. They are pretty strict about making sure they can take care of your loved one. They had a good system. The care coordinator asked me a lot of questions, and I could tell they were interested in making sure it was a good fit. One thing that was helpful to me was, understanding the base price for the room price, and then a care level. They are pretty accommodating with their different living options.

AlmaVia gives an instant feeling of home and welcoming from all staff members were very professional as well. Apartment units are very spacious, grounds well kept, many sitting areas both inside and outside, all corridors are clear for passage, public bathrooms kept clean, dinning hall bright and cheery, many activities and social areas, religious room for all faiths are represented (very favorable), it's just felt like home.

I found your web site most helpful in finding the right place for me. Thank you so much for helping. The Homestead at Morton Grove has lovely roomy apartments, nice, helpful staff, friendly environment.

So far, we have been very pleased with Heathers Manor. We don't know too much about the actvities yet, but we do know that they offer them, and are hoping that our loved one is participating. She has been very happy there so far, and so has our family. We are very pleased with this decision!

We toured the facility last weekend, they are in the process of repairs and repainting due to a water main issue from this past winter. My parents fell in love with it immediately. Everyone is so gracious as are other tenants. They made my parents feel welcome from the first tour. We were able to rent the apartment they desired 4 days later. Staff are amazing and are all about the benefit of the residents being 'at home' 'comfortable' and reassuring! Mom and Dad can even grow tomatoes in planters on their patio! We are impressed with the whole picture!

We have had a good experience. The caregivers are what really stand out to us, they are really friendly and personable. The community is clean and the services are good.
