Traditions Management

Moved my mother in a month and a half ago, from another assisted loving facility, that had gotten too expensive for her budget. I was impressed with the homey feel that I felt instantly when I walked in. It is beautiful and the staff is super nice and caring. I would totally recommend Hillen Vale and actually have already !!!

Overall they seem to do a good job. It's always very clean, and the staff are friendly and caring. I feel like one area they could use improvement on is the activities.

I think it's pretty expensive considering all he's getting is his meals and he was living in a little cubby hole. He was there for respite care for 3 weeks. His room was all the way down the hall and he has trouble walking so that wasn't great but I know it was all they had available. The food got shakier but then he's a meat and potatoes guy, not a health nut. I think they had some healthy stuff but then they were also having hot dogs and I thought, you know, we're paying the big bucks so I think they could have better food. I noticed that the carpet needed to be replaced. It was worn and raised in places - that can't be very good for people who have trouble walking. Maybe they have replaced it by now.

My mother was there for a day. We chose it for the location and because it's a really nice community. If my mother ever does needt to go into a place, that is the community I would choose. I would definitely go back.

Talked with the director. Best option so far. Would have to use hall wash room but it has whirlpool tub and no barrier shower. I liked the dining room and fireplace room for gatherings. Also had separate tv room. They have a hoyler but only had underarm sling would have to order full sling.

I would recommend Brookdale Zanesville; however, it is with caution due to the community being private pay and them not accepting Medicare. The community is having some staffing issues. There are not a lot of activities going on due to the pandemic My loved one likes the food in general and the community has a new chef coming starting March 1st.

My loved one requires attention in the evenings and I think that the evening care has been lacking recently.

Traditions is a very nice facility and the staff have continued to be very positive and nice. However, just like all other communities right now they are struggling with a lot of turnover. They offer a shuttle service but have no bus driver to take the residents to and from their appointments so the maintenance team is having to step in but they are only able to take the residents to appointments that are in close proximity to the community. Our loved ones doctors office is much farther so we have to pay extra for her to get to and from which is becoming expensive. They also lost their cleaning service so that has lacked a little, but we do know they are actively hiring.

we did a Virtual tour with this community. It was very informative and they answered all our questions. the tour was good but i understand that at the time the restrictions, but I would have like to seen some of the community.

There has been a lot of staff turnover, which has been a concern. Like most places, they have some excellent staff, and some what I would say lazy staff. For many months now, my loved one has not consistently had the showers she's supposed to be getting twice a week. We've addressed the issue, and they'll improve for a few weeks, and then it will get worse again. It seems to be a problem with the aides. When I call and talk to management, they tell me she's on the schedule that day, but then it doesn't happen. Laundry is great, and so is housekeeping. The food has been good. Medication management and injections are handled by the nurses, and that's been fine. There's a lot of strengths, and a couple of weaknesses. My loved one had a bad fall, and the responsiveness at the time as well as since returning from medical care has been excellent.

You need to stay on top of things. You need to make sure things are being done they way they should be. The food was okay. The room sizes and layout of the community are good. The staff is willing to work with you and provide feedback. They have limited outdoor space.

I would say that Meadow Brooke after three months is now doing an acceptable job in caring for my mother. It does seem that they had a shortage of assistants during July and August which was very worrisome for me as laundry was not getting done and my mother was still reeling from her recent move. I am happy that she now seems to have settled in.

Staff is friendly; however, have had issues with following through on issues that have arisen whether it be medically related or scheduling related (i.e. baths, cleaning, laundry, etc). All of this requires a lot of time on the family to follow up on any situation that arises to ensure that all is taken care of. My mother is enjoying her stay.

This was a nice community. We did know someone that used to live there and they advised us the food was not good. The community was clean. The staff were nice. They did not have an opening in the memory care unit.

A private room was a must for us and Traditions memory care delivered. The staff has been very friendly and helpful. It is comforting to know there is someone 24/7 to watch over my mom. The staff often takes the residents outside to the courtyard after lunch. Mom enjoys the bus rides. She can eat meals from the memory care dinning menu or she can ask for items from the assisted-living menu. It is nice to know there is a doctor who visits once a week. He is friendly and caring. We are happy we made the choice to move mom into Traditions at Reagan.

Food service is definitely still an issue. I was served a donut that was hard as a rock for breakfast one morning and it was not frozen, if you get my drift. Most food has been decent lately but there were only 2 wait staff in the dining room tonight and it was packed with hungry residents getting very irritated not to be waited on properly-- it was a shame really. To top it off it is a holiday. Very poor management regarding this happening. There's no problem with outside maintenance and nursing care is great and housekeeping is good but the on going problems with the kitchen and wait staff is uncalled for in a place of this quality. It is very unfair to the paying residents and extremely unfair to the 2 folks working the floor in the dining room. I would not be surprised if the residents refused to pay for such bad food service.

Over the top in helpfulness!! Staff is always available to answer questions & offer help. Residents are happy& encouraging.

Overall it has been a very positive experience with Emeritus at Lakeview. The place is very nice and clean and the staff is incredibly friendly. The only thing I can think they can do to improve would be better help getting V.A. assistance. That has been a fiasco in itself.

Overall I think they do a good job at Traditions at Reagan Park with what they have to work with. The staff are all very friendly and caring. Unfortunately, as is the case with many of these communities, they are often quite understaffed. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the people that they do have work hard, however.
