Traditions Management

I would say that Meadow Brooke after three months is now doing an acceptable job in caring for my mother. It does seem that they had a shortage of assistants during July and August which was very worrisome for me as laundry was not getting done and my mother was still reeling from her recent move. I am happy that she now seems to have settled in.

Staff is friendly; however, have had issues with following through on issues that have arisen whether it be medically related or scheduling related (i.e. baths, cleaning, laundry, etc). All of this requires a lot of time on the family to follow up on any situation that arises to ensure that all is taken care of. My mother is enjoying her stay.

My mother has recently made the move into this community and so far I have no complaints of how things are going for her. She is really enjoying her time there so far and making friends with the other residents. The staff are friendly and I am comfortable with the care she has been provided. She has had no issues with the meals and is starting to get involved in some of the activities they have to offer. Overall it is has been a great fit and I would recommend it to anyone.

This was a nice community. We did know someone that used to live there and they advised us the food was not good. The community was clean. The staff were nice. They did not have an opening in the memory care unit.

A private room was a must for us and Traditions memory care delivered. The staff has been very friendly and helpful. It is comforting to know there is someone 24/7 to watch over my mom. The staff often takes the residents outside to the courtyard after lunch. Mom enjoys the bus rides. She can eat meals from the memory care dinning menu or she can ask for items from the assisted-living menu. It is nice to know there is a doctor who visits once a week. He is friendly and caring. We are happy we made the choice to move mom into Traditions at Reagan.

Food service is definitely still an issue. I was served a donut that was hard as a rock for breakfast one morning and it was not frozen, if you get my drift. Most food has been decent lately but there were only 2 wait staff in the dining room tonight and it was packed with hungry residents getting very irritated not to be waited on properly-- it was a shame really. To top it off it is a holiday. Very poor management regarding this happening. There's no problem with outside maintenance and nursing care is great and housekeeping is good but the on going problems with the kitchen and wait staff is uncalled for in a place of this quality. It is very unfair to the paying residents and extremely unfair to the 2 folks working the floor in the dining room. I would not be surprised if the residents refused to pay for such bad food service.

Overall I think they do a good job at Traditions at Reagan Park with what they have to work with. The staff are all very friendly and caring. Unfortunately, as is the case with many of these communities, they are often quite understaffed. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the people that they do have work hard, however.

They could get more skilled workers there because we had to hire someone on top of their staff because they couldn't handle my father. Then we ended up moving Dad to [community name removed], to the memory care unit, which was awesome

Beautiful facility. Closeness of nurses station to her room. Communication. Follow through what they say they will do.

They aren't great with medications as far as being speedy about getting new meds, getting refills, having the PRN meds on hand, having med passers that know what they are doing etc. They could have a little more seasoning/flavors on the meals.

Her apartment is spacious and offers good storage. Laundry is available nearby. The food is acceptable, though not her preference. We have a private caregiver part of the day, as staffing can be tight. Assistance and response times can be challenging, and she is at risk of falling when trying to do things independently. Activity participation is limited, partly due to therapy scheduling and personal interest, though she enjoys her therapy services. Common areas are clean and well maintained. Daytime nursing staff have been kind. There have been some concerns expressed about night staff communication, though this may be influenced by her medical condition. Pharmacy and in-home services have met expectations so far.

She was put in a room far away from the staff when she first got there . It was not a good experience. When they first observed her before being admitted they should have put her in memory care. Now that she is in memory care she is getting much better care. The girls there in the daytime are fantastic.

Staffing of nurses and aides are very lean, medications are not always given on time and response time to emergency buttons is slow. Whether this is due to employee skill level/training or administrative policies I do not know. The staff does try the best they can but are torn between many different responsibilities.

So far the staff is very friendly and helpful. The Admin staff is excellent ([names removed] at the front desk)The ladies on the MC floor are really good. I haven't learned their names yet. I ate lunch there in the main dining room and it was delicious. I'm hoping that my opinions stay high as time goes on.

Very homey and very friendly staff. Many of the residents are very friendly as well. They could increase the variety of activities. And following the level of care plan more consistently would be wonderful

The dining room is open from 7am-6pm;The activities are a very popular thing for the residents; they have their own physical therapy facilities

What we like the most about Traditions of Beaumont is that it is clean and the administrative staff were good. However, what they could improve on would be to have better communication and better training for CNA's.

It is an affordable option for many who are looking for a place for their loved ones. The staffing levels are not ideal but they are adequate. We picked this community mainly because of the cost.

The meals that are prepared are inedible and the activities are boring. It is expensive if the food is inedible The independent duplexes are very nice. So in that respect, it's a great place to live. But we pay so much and can't eat. I'd move if I found better food.

We were very happy initially but with staff turnover, things have gone downhill sharply. I would tell them to look elsewhere.
