Watched this place being built - didn't know I would be living here. But it's been a wonderful 2 years. Lots of new friends and entertainment. Staff great.

I had a very good feeling touring this facility. Especially, that they had a lock-in so that residents cannot just walk out. Everything was very clean and no funny smells. Residents are engaged in various activities during the day including exercise.

Current place of residence. Care costs escalating.

Beautiful facility. Large community. This would be too much walking for my mom. It is a one level facility, which is a must for my mom, but this is just not a good fit at this time.

Very nice but too expensive for services offered.

In general I am pleased with this assisted living facility. For over a year there was a great lack of responsibility given by the dining room servers who were in high school. Service has improved. There's also a lack of coordination and advance notice for some events.

I am lucky to live her at Gentry Park. They take care of all my medical needs and the food is good

My mother is in Memory Care. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I generally feel confident that Mom is receiving quality care. We've had a few occasions of medical issues where communication between the doctor's office and the nursing staff could have been better but if you have someone following up on things everyone is very willing to help. I would like to see a little more attention to cleanliness regarding Mom's bathroom issues but I know she is not co-operative and the staff is trying to manage the situation. Overall I am pleased with our placement choice.

Good place to live. Employees are friendly and helpful. The building is well maintained. Residents are friendly. Our friends who visit are impressed with the facility.

very very nice place. They have an impressive array of facilities and lots of friendly people. The downside was the parking situation wasnt ideal and the facility seemed "too big" for my mom.

The tour was good it was a nice clean community. The staff was friendly. It was brand new it opened in February. They just didn't have the care we needed for mom. So we had to choose elsewhere.

The facility is very clean and nice. The staff was friendly to us and to the residents. We found it to be very large and everything looked the same. Our family member with mild dementia would be lost. As expected the memory care area was less attractive and the people less engaged. Probably not a good fit for us.

I find this place very acceptable. The food is above average--sometimes not hot enough. They provide various, almost daily activities (which is very necessary for most of us) Keeping us interested and motivated is very important.

It's home away from home. All people are friendly and helpful. Conveniences available to those limited to travel. Lovely overall facility. Freedom to decorate as you like. Clean healthy environment. Very quiet and restful.

Gentry Park Bloomington is a beautiful new community. It is obvious that the Director of Health Services is very experienced and compassionate. She is right there taking shifts/care of residents when needed and seems to strive to have a good working relationship with families. She (and some of her staff) provide education, listen to concerns, and keep me informed of changes and care plan updates. They have chefs that they are working with to prepare food that meet the different dietary needs of the residents. There is a nicely landscaped small courtyard for the residents to go out, weather permitting, to enjoy the fresh air. There are activities that they can participate in. The only concern that I will add is that there doesn't seem to be a telephone system in place, at least not in the memory-care area. They use walkie-talkies, which seem to make communication a little difficult at times. Overall, my loved one is receiving the care he needs. They allow and encourage his independence while they make sure he takes his medication, and they help him through difficult times. I feel good he is receiving the care that he needs. I would recommend this community.

After seeing other communities and comparing what was needed I felt they were not the best fit for our parent. I did enjoy seeing how they operate and it could be suitable for another family.

Hilliard Assisted Living & Memory Care was one of our top choices of communities. They gave a very nice presentation of the care they would provide for our loved one. The community was beautiful and well-kept. It was very clean and well-maintained. It was bright and upbeat and had a good feel to it. We ended up choosing another facility that was close to our family members and had transportation to outside activities our loved one belonged to.

We liked the atmosphere and cleanliness of Park Place. We toured both the assisted living and memory care areas. Memory care is most appropriate for our moms needs. There is no opening in memory care at this time. [Removed] was helpful in thinking through options for our mom to receive care from Park Place. While it is still on our list to consider we continue our search. We need to include nursing home care in our search.
