Meadow Brook is a very friendly place. My father is safe and loved. The staff knows my father's name and greets him every time they see him. Front office and desk staff is great! Supportive and friendly The food is amazing! Excellent variety and the quality is way above what I would expect at a retirement home. After opening the dining room was not staffed well enough but they have corrected that and service is very good now. Monthly special dinners are very nice. Families are invited and the dinners are exceptional. The rooms are spacious and very nice. The public areas are very well decorated and kept clean. My only issue with the facility is that the wellness director does not return calls and is not friendly. When a medical issue comes up with my father, I don't hear from the nurse or the wellness director. Takes many calls to get to the bottom of the issue. The facility is not full so the wellness director also acts as a nurse so in her defense she is doing two jobs but Meadow Brook does need to figure this out. Great place and would move my father in again.

Overall things have gone very well at Meadow Brook Senior Living! Everyone we've worked with has been very friendly, and very helpful! The facility itself is beautiful, and they keep everything looking clean and well kept. My only complaint is that sometimes the care feels a bit unorganized, possibly due to the facility being so new.

Beautiful but more importantly - caring! My friends mother is a resident at Meadow Brook and the transformation has been amazing! She smiles and interacts with people. She has made friends! They have so many friendly and caring people who work there. It may be a little higher than some places but well worth the piece of mind knowing that your parent is in such good hands. So may activities and the food is good too.

My aunt was a difficult patient. They did their best to please her.

From the moment we stepped into the facility, my sister and I, were welcomed by many friendly staff members and noticed many of the staff members involved with the residents. We met with a different person than originally planned, however, all of our questions were answered and the young lady gave us quite a bit of information regarding the facility. Our tour was thorough and we were also offered additional information we could take home and read. It's an overwhelming experience to go through when you are looking for quality elder care and as someone going in with blinders on, the staff helped open our eyes a little. They were patient, answered any and all questions, courteous and really tried to give us a step by step process of what we could be facing. My sister has been in several times, as I am so far away, and has been pleased with everything as our father is trying to adjust to his new situation. Thanks to all who have helped us through this process!

More like a home setting then an institutional setting. Great warm and comfortable feel to the place I noticed on my first visit when I was shopping for a place for my Dad. The staff is very professional and kind. Now it is all first name basis for him which helps him feel welcomed and well cared for. It is clean and safe which is a big concern when placing a loved one.

Staff was mostly great, some seemed less engaged with their jobs. Activities Coordinator was amazing in the memory case unit. Room was adequate size and no cleanliness issues in the room. Mostly everyone were concerned about the well being of my mom and to time with her. The negatives, smell in the memory care unit was unpleasant relative to other facilities. The food and kitchen area was dirty and constantly un-kept.

The nurses are great, and the facility is excellent. The food is just okay, not so good. The location is great. The only bad thing is the assistants who actually provide some of the hands-on care. Some are not well trained, are always in a hurry, and do not spend much time with the patients. I mentioned this in a meeting with the staff. Bathing, dressing, and listening to patients’ needs are areas that need a lot of improvement. The location is convenient, and I guess I would use them again. One good question to ask when considering assisted living is whether you are mobile and can dress and bathe yourself. If so, this is an excellent place. If you need additional assistance, which they charge extra for, the experience may be different.

Assisted living apartment were very nice. It was clean and spacious. Memory care facility smelled of urine. The room we were shown was a good size though. People throughout the facility were friendly. We were taken to the "movie/theater " room first to meet with the marketing person. I wish he would have stood or sat in front of us rather then behind us. In general facility was nice. I wish there was a vegetarian option for meals - my parents do not always like to have meat. Also would have liked to see a better selection of activities for higher functioning residents such as speakers or educational talks.

Staff has seemed very unhappy since change in management. They no longer smile and laugh with my mom Activities director left and my mom no longer looks forward to any new activities Food: whenever we take mom to eat everyone is complaining about food being overcooked and tastes like cardboard Before new management the building smelt clean. Now it's stale and faintly like a bathroom Mom's room is small now that's she has settled in and she hopes for a bigger room If it fits the budget

I've been very happy with them for the most part. The problems we are having i think are more related to my parents being difficult but im not 100% on that yet. The executive director and director of nursing have been wonderful while we try to figure out how to best manage my parents and their needs

Everything there is pretty good. Hard to give any place a "5" due to the nature of memory care. It's hard for any staff to keep things perfect with the amount of work memory care demands. I feel like my mom is in a good place.

Staff was very helpful, but it has changed a lot since I got here. [name removed] was the first person I talked to and she has left. The activities director has changed, as have several of the kitchen staff and maid service staff.

The nurses were amazing and very caring. The facility recently changed ownership, and while improvements are being made, there are still areas that need attention. The cleaning staff seemed almost nonexistent during my stay. The food was also an issue — meals were never served hot, and one evening ribs with large bones were served. For senior citizens who may struggle using utensils, that was not an appropriate meal choice. Hopefully these concerns will improve as the new management continues making changes.

Nice spacious facility. The rooms are nice with 2 TVs. There was a huge discrepancy in price estimate between a Place for Mom and Traditions.

Food not so good, sometimes they didn't seem to have enough patience but all in all, it was good.

Really liked the facility. Still not sure how the extra care pricing is figured. Woman conducting the tour did an excellent job answering our questions as well as anticipating questions we hadn’t thought of.

I like it here. I would give it a 4 because I would like more different activities. The food is good with a varied menu and the staff is very nice. I would recommend it to others

Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. They do many things to welcome newcomers and help them become acclimated. Food and d as support is good. Only thing keeping me from rating a 5 is timeliness to perform maintenance type issues on the apartment. Understood they need to prioritize more serious issues but the bathroom fan has not been working since my mom moved in. We've turned in a few work requests. Fan is still not operating. There are other things that have been addressed in a more timely manner, not sure why this one item remains. Anyway, overall we are pleased with Traditions Deerfield
