Most of the staff I interacted with in admissions were great. But the aides on the floor didn't really seem to know my loved one very well. She was evaluated as independent enough to go there, but pulling her out of her house really activated her dementia, and they weren't able to giver her the things she really needed - more prompting and more supervision. Immediately when she moved in, I don't know why they didn't see her struggling and help her more. I understand that we had a unique situation, and I fee like it's not anyone's fault. No one could not have foreseen her decline. I liked that all the floors were hard, so they didn't absorb any odor. And everything looked clean. Also I can tell that the people who work in the kitchen are very passionate about making good food.

I would recommend you do your research on all the communities you are looking at. We did have some issues that we had to sort out with the community. The administrative staff is probably the biggest problem. It seems that it can be difficult to get paperwork from them and get corporation from them as well. The front desk and healthcare team are good to work with. I believe the healthcare team is overstretched.

It's a great place to put your parent. But you do have to follow up with them sometimes. At times, food is not delivered on time. Or if you call, nobody picks up. Or if hey do pick up, you sense an attitude. My loved one has told me the food is a little salty. But overall I would say the cost seems to be fair.

Our family had a virtual tour experience at first then we were able to physically tour the community. Bayside Terrace appeared to look like it used to be an old hotel which they renovated. The amenities were just not there because of the existing space and use of it. The common areas were veyr limited in space compared to other properties we toured.

The food stinks, and it is awful. The residents had a meeting with the chef, and I think it is getting better. It is so bad, I've been thinking about leaving the community. I had to pay for my meals at the community, and then having to get groceries, because it is so horrible. The staff are a problem with the wait staff. They just plop the plate down in front of you. They will serve food the resident didn't order, because they are out of the food the resident ordered. There are residents who are rude to the wait staff as well. I dislike hearing people be rude to the wait staff. There is not enough housekeeping or wait staff from what I understand. The tables that need wiped down, and wiped down are pushed onto the floor, and some tables are left dirty. The community is lying about the delicious food in marketing materials.

We toured this community and it was beautiful. The rooms were very nice and had a great view. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions but the community was way too big and it felt really impersonal.

Our tour was a bit rushed and started directly with pricing. Many lost-looking residents in the hallways and lobby. The buildings struck me as dated but they are about to be renovated. The dining room is large with spectacular views. The rooms were fine, some with excellent view of lake.

We had some issues here and ended up moving our loved one out. One of the staff member lied to us about giving her a bath and they could not seem to control their covid infections. They opened it up for families to come visit and as I was going to see her she called and said they cancelled visitations and no one had told me that. My mother has had mini strokes and we thought she was having one and I called down to ask someone to go check on her and they sent me to voicemail. 2 hours later I still had no response. Communication was not very good in general, they seemed disorganized. Overall, due to our experience we would not recommend them.

I believe this is a great idea, for the way the community is set up. The level of care and the caregivers weren't very good. The call button the resident's would click for assistance, then the staff would be delayed in getting to the residents. I believe the level of care could be improved.

I would want others to know that my loved ones wallet was cleaned out the first night that she was here. They are pretty spotty about providing weekly cleaning and laundry services, but there are certainly some members of the staff that go out of their way for my loved one. I would recommend because of the affordability.

My only real issue so far is that there is a lot of turn over. This makes communication tough because we don't know who is always in charge. They often don't know who my grandmother is or what care she needs due to the turnover and phone calls are not returned in a timely manner The building is nice and the rooms are average size and it was clean.

Spring Haven Retirement is really nice up front until you are there and then the communication is not good. It was priced high considering the lack of renovations. The carpet is very dirty and the food is not balanced meals. They did not switch up the activities here. You can tell maintenance has not been done on the building.

It is a lot of money. The food has improved. The rooms are a good size, with a good size bath and closet. A lot of the staff has left. A lot of turn over in the staff. There is limited outdoor space. The driver has let so there is no bus service.

The room sizes are good. The facilities were good. The value was good. The layout of the community was okay. there was a lot of walking between the elevators which was a challenge for my mom. They had an issue with cock roaches.

My brother was only there for one day. They did not get his medications right for one thing. He fell and no one came to help him for about an hour or more. He had a broken bone in his neck and back. He went to the hospital and never went back to Spring Haven. We tried to tell the staff when he moved in that he needed more care then was available.

I visited this facility a while back on my own. The location is in the center of town and on the busline--which is appealing to my mom. The room is private, but living room and kitchen is shared space which is not necessarily inviting and private enough. Also, there are other communities that provide a private apartment for comparable cost.

Smelled like old people. In the midst of renovation. Staff friendly. Didn’t think elevator space was enough for all the floors.

Building needs some work, very informative, staff very knowledgeable -didn't get to see a room.

Very cosmopolitan facility. Little too busy for my mother. Elevator delays seemed excessive. Beautiful views from some units.

There were a few things that turned us away from this community. The first being that when you stepped into the building you could smell what ever food they were cooking and that smell traveled through out the building. Second, the community was in need of refurbishing everything seemed to be dated and freshened up. The staff was friendly however mom felt that it was just a little too big for her taste.
