Try to schedule a tour, but no one got back to me. We drove around property and seems to be a bit out dated.

Business is business at Ashford Court. If you are hospitalized for a time, or in rehab, Ashford still charges you the full amount for meals and services that you do not use. The accounting is confusing and changes. You cannot get a straight answer about your bill when it changes. Ashford is always pushing a new way for them to make money.

My mother was at Holiday-Ashford Court for about 18 months, but I have now moved her. She made some good friends and enjoyed many of the staff. My mother enjoyed living at Ashford Court. While at Ashford Court, there was a long-term power outage during a storm. My mother fell in her apartment in the darkness of the evening. She laid on the cold floor all night until she could crawl to the door in the morning crying for help. Someone heard her in the morning and she was taken to the hospital. No one checked on her in the darkness during the loss of power. She could have died. Although this is not a requirement by contract, the management knows that the tenants are elderly and need additional oversight in such situations. The building has a nice appearance, but it is very difficult to get answers about financial questions. It is difficult to get a straight answer or information. There have been times that I could not get a return phone call. When I stopped by the offices to get answers, I got rude replies without proper documents or professional explanations. My mother lost thousands of dollars because of confusing information or late replies to financial questions. In my opinion, the bottom line for Holiday-Ashford Court is that money is most important. I have discussed these issues with corporate managers and the bottom line seems to be profit over clients. A multimillion-dollar company could not find a way to help a 95-year-old woman with a refund for misunderstood payments. My mother spent about three months in rehabilitation due to illness. She was not in her apartment. Holiday-Ashford would not allow a change in service charges or the discontinuation of optional services like laundry and meals. Previously, she could stop services during medical care and lower her costs. Holiday-Ashford did not have to provide services or food, but they refused to help a poor old woman by reducing the costs. They continued to charged hundreds of dollars for services and food that were not rendered or needed. Ashford took every dollar that they could from my mother’s bank account before they provided me some answers about the financial charges. Ashford had all of the money before I could examine the charges and raise any objections. There are plenty of other places that will care for your loved one. In my opinion, I would never again put my loved one in such a place.

We moved my father into Ashford Court 5 years ago. The staff there are nice and friendly. About a year ago management changed to Holiday Retirement. Since then the mood has changed for the worst. Employees seem disconnected from the residence. The worst part is his rent has increased from [removed] when we moved him in to [removed] now. Contracts don't matter, they make up their rules as they go. I hate to move my father around at this stage in his life but I don't know what to do.

Over priced. They tell you one thing and then jack the price up with there point system. No thank you.

We visited this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. We did not like the look of this one at all. The people seemed very friendly, but the decor and atmosphere of the facility just felt dark and depressing.

I recently toured here and it was depressing and smelled bad. The building is very out of date and staff all seem to think they are on break. The people who helped me were very pushy and didn’t provide the basic knowledge needed to make an informed decision.

The care staff are unpleasant and hard to get a hold of. Many of the staff walk around on their phones and don’t seem approachable. When you have a problem you can’t get a straight answer from anyone or a call back. You can never get a hold of director who is never in his office or always has his spouse in his office.

My friend thought they looked good. Looks are deceiving.Do not go there!It's a terrible, overpriced place.

I do not recommend Cambridge Place Assisted Living The staff brings their young children to work because it's the only way they can show up to worked on needed shifts. It is not safe. There are areas of improvement - wrong distribution of medications caused our loved one to be hospitalized 2 times at their facility.

MOST of the current employees at Sutter Estates are absolutely the worst both personally and professionally. The director of the property ([name removed]) is a snooty, unfriendly and unprofessional person. She makes no time for her employees (unless she really likes you and feels you fit her mold) or residents (unless your the upper echelon of Sutter Co) . I had a relative living there that we decided should no longer be apart of this community. It was frightening to see the lack of care for staff and residents and favoritism that was happening on all sides. Further, the Director was known for “hob-nobbing” with the well known residents living at Sutter Estates and never made time for those that could barely make the rent. My family and I do not recommend Sutter Estates or any property that [name removed] or her A-Team manage.

This place is bad. Really bad. I can hear the employees complain constantly about taking care of residents and how they hate their job. My dad doesn't get the car he needs. They hadn't showered him in 3 weeks and no one called to let me know. His room is always dirty. The shower has mold in it. The toilet is filthy. I have to clean every time I visit. He gets his meds late. Got the wrong meds several times. The office person lied about my dad's cost of rent. For the care and service, pick some where else

Cost and prices are changing all the time. Bookkeeping is a mess. Hard to get a clear answer. Overpriced.

This place is a joke!!!!! The food is awful and the management team is liars, especially the Director. He walks around with a smile on his face but it is fake. Some of his team tells my sister and I that he is only out for the mighty dollar and could care less about the residents. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My mother lives here at Ashford Court. The facility is clean in the Independent Living side but where my mom lives it is disgusting. The floors need to be done, carpet needs cleaned, old pictures and old smelly furniture. The Director only cares about making a dollar. He does not care about the residents well-being. It really is sad. He always tries to cover up problems instead of dealing with them.

This community misinformed about the type of care they were able to provide. My mother needed memory care and I was referred to this community. When we toured the community they never told me, we can not care for your mother here. My mother came up missing twice and I'm just not happy with this community. I would not recommend this community.

I must say, I am really not too pleased with this place. I have had an all around negative experience with this "facility", and I would advise you to search elsewhere if you are seeking an assisted living home for a relative. First, most of the staff here does not care about their residents. They aren't really treated like "People", and I feel like the staff members don't treat them with the same respect that they would a younger or more capable person. I have seen Residents walking around who are soiled with urine, and no one helps them because it's a nuisance. The kitchen staff is very friendly, but that's about it. The rest of the staff is stand offish and lazy. If you confront them about a problem, they say it's "Not their responsibility" and they can't do anything about it. My family member is getting SICKER since she's been here because nobody has been taking care of her, or watching her. I was disgusting to find upon my visit, that she was out of her medicine and did not have any insulin, and had not been taking any for WEEKS. Why are we paying money for services which aren't properly performed or fulfilled? If you want someone to actually watch out for your loved one, you have to pay for a "higher" level of care, otherwise they are pretty much just left to themselves. I also feel like the staff doesn't really respect the family members of their Residents, and doesn't value the need for Residents to be able to be in contact with their family members and have visits. When I was unable to contact my family member for a prolonged period of time, I worriedly called the Facility, and they were absolutely zero help. They said they can't give out any information, and can't do anything for me. I don't live in the city, so it's not like I can just show up!! Overall, throughout the past SIX YEARS, I have become increasingly disgusted with this place. Please don't send your loved one here. They will NOT be taken care of!!

Worst place ever. I should never have put my grandma here. I am glad I was able to move her to a better facility.
