A mishap happened between my loved one and one of the services which was a pretty big deal, but I brought it to their attention and they immediately followed through with correcting the situation and I thought it was very commendable.

Good place, new- need work on internal processes

I think we're in a good place. There are a lot of activities but my dad has Alzheimer so unless he's getting the extra care, they're not as encouraging for activities. They're new so it's good but I think the're need to work on internal things. Like getting back to me especially on the billing. I called them yesterday because I think I owe them money and they still haven't gotten back to me.

Things have changed!

When my relatives entered The Waters of Plymouth three or four months ago, I couldn't have been more pleased, but the atmosphere has changed. With the change of administration, I have not had the same friendly feeling that I felt before. To date, I have yet to meet the new director, Michelle Land, nor Aaron Johnson, Manager of Community Relations. The former director, Joni, was visible virtually every day and greeted family members as often as she could. It was a huge disappointment to see such a great person leave this facility!! The rest of the staff who have been there for some time, are still as friendly as before. I'm not sure how Michelle and Aaron are going to improve upon this, but I'd like to see something changed. Also, the parking situation needs to improve. Family members end up parking furthest from the building, while employees park in the circle drive. I've witnessed this first hand on several occasions and recognize employee cars. This continues to happen even after mentioning this to the front desk. The number of available spots are limited, especially around the dinner hour.

Nice feel to this place. Residents out and about in the halls/common areas. Some church services on site. Across street from EP Mall (Kohl's side). Have an attached extended care facility (like Masonic), but no full nursing home. Two bedroom felt small @ 900 sq ft. Required dining may not be great for diet restrictions(?)

Our family visited Waters of Eden Prairie for a tour while looking for a place for my mother. Overall seemed like a nice place, smelled clean everyone was very friendly and upbeat. Just had a feeling it wasn't the place for her, not certain exactly what that reasoning was but something was telling me wasn't the correct fit. Nice place though.

would recommend

Overall we have been happy with The Waters community, our loved one is receiving good services and we certainly like the safety it provides. They do a very good job keeping the community clean and the activities are good. Our loved one is not to excited about the meals but they do have a different menu they are allowed to order off of for something different. They have changed the therapy services a couple of times since our loved ones has been there which has caused some disruptions and frustration.

I toured The Waters on Mayowood and thought it was beautiful. It really seemed like a nice place, but it was also the most expensive of the communities I looked at. I opted for a community that was a little more practical for me.

Beautiful, spacious community

Overall our experience with The Colony has been a good one. The facility itself is amazing, and one of the main reasons we selected this community. It is clean, spacious, well kept, and gorgeous grounds. They also do a great job with the food. The staff weren't quite as personable as at some of the places we toured, but seem to do a fine job overall, and our loved ones seem happy here.

Disappointing

Their communication skills with the client family are poor and at least all my client was there, they had unbelievable turnover in staff. Some of their rules are just insane in a real turn off for visiting family members. They had at least three staff who constantly argued with the families' decisions or request, making the family think that they were asking for something that would be harmful to the patient. Turns out it was just the opposite and the patient fell three times because the staff did not do as the family had requested. The Waters on 50th is much better

Review for The Waters of Highland Park

It's a beautiful facility. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of activities. Meals are very good. When it comes to needing additional care for health and medical, it's very frustrating. I believe they are short staffed in this area. Billing for services Is complicated and not always accurate. Some services are late or not done at all. Overall, my sister is pretty happy at The Waters. I'm frustrated about additional services, billing procedures and communication. That's why I rate them a 3.
