The Waters Senior Living

The food is delivered to my loved one is Styrofoam containers and it arrives cold, so my loved one doesn't care for the food. They do have an alternative menu for the residents to order off of, in case they don't like what is being served. There is a staff member that my loved one really enjoys to work with. There is also a woman who was cleaning during my visit to see my loved one and this staff member was very bubbly and helpful. I think this is a good place overall. My loved one is receiving some physical therapy, medication management, bathing assistance and more as some of the care types available.

Experience, very frustrating, wellness director is hard to get ahold of and doesn't respond to message requests. Office staff cant answer basic questions. Newly hired nurse is very receptive and helpful she gets a 5

I am really disappointed in the lack of engaging activities that are mentally stimulating. I tried really hard to find a place that had a good chef. This chef was replaced after a short period and the quality of food declined. The dining room is constantly being shut down over and over. They seem to send out sandwiches a lot. It was covid and then flu but you cut out dining for all residents. The residents seem to be very shut in. It's now very secluded and harmful to their mental state. They were not communicating to residents during some sprinkler system issues, so my loved one had no idea if she needed to rush outside due to a fire when it was actually a sprinkler system but she heard the fire alarm. No one was there to tell her otherwise. For what we pay, I would expect the care to be top notch. That is just not the case here.

The common areas are very clean but I do feel like my loved ones area could be cleaner than what it is. Some of the workers are more experienced and some of them are new there are just certain things that need to still be smoothed out in the community. The meals are excellent and they just hired an activity director and things are getting started up now with the director.

This was a beautiful place but for two people it was just not for us and what we needed. For one person it may have been ideal.

This is in/near the Drexel shopping area and is a very busy place. While its not far, I think we have some good options that are much closer. I do not want to schedule a tour at this time and have emailed [name removed] that information. This is not really a rating as I have not toured the facility.

I think The Waters of Highland Park is adequate for that kind of care it offers. The room sizes and layout of the community are appropriate. I have had a positive experience at The Waters of Highland Park.

My Dad and I appreciate [name removed], the Director of Operations, giving us a wonderful tour. This is a beautiful facility. The size of the apartment is quite small for the money. The staff is friendly.

Very nice property and staff. Too much outside of our budget, however.

A lovely place, but my mom needs more care than this place can offer.

This is still a possibility. The services and corresponding prices are more of a "one size fits all" and not necessarily well matched for our needs.

Beautiful place but the bedrooms are small. They do not offer Sunday worship which is something my mother will want.

While I was touring this facility, they let me know right away they only had 1 room available at the time. The building itself was very nice and they were in the middle of remodeling. The few things I liked is they have a beautiful chapel and a nice screened in porch. However, the rooms weren’t nice looking and they didn’t have an in-room washer and dryer. I would recommend other families tour this community.

We toured this facility for our parent. Very impressive tour. Very new construction and this means it appears very clean. The facility is 4 floors, and 2 large wings, with an amazing central staircase (also has an elevator). The dining hall seemed smaller than needed for the number of potential residents. There was no room that we liked, that was on the dining hall level (3rd floor), available at the time we toured. We did not want any of the rooms overlooking the north end McDonald's. The craft room appeared very nice and of possible interest to our parents. The exercise room--they would never use. Beauty salon--maybe. Our parents at mid-80's seemed to be much older than the current residents, which was concerning. Despite this, we would have loved to have them live here. However, upon checking the Agreement, and comparing our parents' medical needs, we discovered that the Menu of Services (especially the Medication management) would put the price extremely far out of our budget, and (as with all facilities) there are very likely to be price increases every year, both for rent, and Menu of Services. So we chose another situation.

This is a new facility in Lakeville. With memory care and a locked facility it is what my Mother needs. More promises were made, that haven't materialized. I'm not sure if the housing person understood what happens in memory care or what they hope does. Not enough mental stimulation, not enough bible study, they promised weekly church also... This hasn't happened. All of these things are vitally important to my Mother, I would have looked elsewhere had I known what they told me was not true. Too much TV time!

Met with Vicky Wilcox yesterday morning. She is a wonderful marketing rep for this property and knows her product well. It was not quite what we are looking for, however: seemed lonely and teaming with residents like Summit Place. There were few employees, care givers etc to be found. Simply, it seemed like a half-vacant hotel with few activities and a very chilly dining room.

Parents liked except for decor. My mom found the maroon/green decor too dark and depressing. Not her style.

They only have private rooms not covered by Medicare

The facility is beautiful. There has been no activities director for 3 months. Most of the good staff is leaving, including the director.
