Could be better

I don’t have any problems with them. I don’t their food is very good. Nutritional wise – they could do better. I’d like them to serve more vegetables that aren’t canned. I’m not happy with laundry service. Sometimes I think my loved one’s clothes were washed, but without soap. I think they could do more exercises.

Nice. Very Hospitable and kind. Residents and staff seem to genuinely like each other and have repoir. we came when they were about to play a movie. Clean and tidy, but a bit tired in decor. Room floorplans are small. Passed the 'smell' test!

Great tour & staff, but felt the facility was very small and hallways cramped. Not much privacy if you just want to be alone. Location not the greatest for us. Think we'll rule this one out.

This place is very small. Everything is home made. They garden and eat the veggies. They do have openings for singles. They have a manicure person as well as a hair person come in once a week. No showers in the room. They have to go in the hall shower room to bathe.

Clean and tidy and attractive setting. Very quiet, we didn't see any residents sitting around or doing anything at 2PM. Reminded me of a pretty nursing home. We want something different for our parents at this time.

20 beds. 17 currently occupied. One Jewish lady resident, Tillie Fisher. They brought in a Rabbi last year at Hannukah because she felt left out for holiday. OT/PT/ST onsite daily. Activities 4/wk with staff. Half bath (toilet and sink). Shower and tub in hallway. CBRF, class C. End of life with Hospice. RA 3-1/2 years. Nurse onsite 2-1/2 days/week. Base rate + personal service plan based on needs. Part of Brookdale - one of the largest providers of this type of care.

With Covid, they did the best they could. Brookdale would be a good facility with the proper staffing.

The director and the sales director went way above and beyond. They are absolutely wonderful, fabulous people doing the best they can trying to meet expectations. They're having some staffing issues, but that's just the Covid situation right now, everywhere you go. They've been without an activities director, which as been hard. But the managerial staff is fabulous. There could be a little more hands on care and more encouragement. But most of the nurses are very nice and very good. They're very tolerant. My loved one could be a bad pill, and they really and truly were incredibly sweet and great to her, especially the night time nurses.

would not be my first choce

My uncle was there for three years, many articles were stolen and their prices kept getting higher. Food was okay. Med staff was at times difficult and my uncle was always drugged. We had to leave him there because it was a locked facility. If a family has other choices..choose Brockdale last.

They do not follow through

This community is fine for a respite stay. I do not see that they follow through with what they say. They do not keep the residents rooms as clean as they should. The rest of the community is ok, although there is a strong odor. The community seems to be understaffed on the weekends. The staff do not always seem attentive to the residents. They currently do not have access to call for assistance from the bathroom.

While Clare Bridge bills itself as Memory and Dementia Care, they are not trained handle behaviors associated with later stage Alzheimer's. Staff is caring but not able to deal with aggression or lack of cooperation even though they will say it is "normal" to see this kind of behavior. Even after medications were adjusted in a geriatric psych unit, they would not take my husband back and I was left scrambling to find acceptable accommodations.

Review for Belvedere Commons of Seneca

They stay on their phones and sit at the med cart talking. There are a few staff that are good but they are short staffed. My husband has been soaking wet every time I came and I came every day. I reported these things to the director and nothing was done.

Room for improvement

There is no overnight nurse. All meds are given at meals. No provision for meds before or after 7a-7pm. Never checked her vital signs even for BP meds. Staff changes frequently. When they say that their medication is included they only mean they will obtain it and hand it to her. You still pay for it.

Understaffed

The facility is clean and reasonably well maintained. Reflections is understaffed and administrative oversight is sorely lacking. Often, at night, there is only one person on duty for over 30 residents.
