We chose The Residence at Timber Pines because we thought at the time it was the best fit for my dad, even though it was on the expensive side. I believe because of their marketing team, they made it very welcoming and we were in a difficult situation at the time and they were very receptive. The nursing staff was really good as well. Something that was difficult was being on the 3rd floor, residents are not able to go outside much other than a porch. I think it would have been better to have memory care on the 1st floor. There were not as many residents here that were as high functioning as my dad which also made it seem more confining, he did not have much to do. Overall we were satisfied with the experience and with the staff, it was just not the right fit for him.

It is a beautiful and new community. They have fine dining; however, right now they are delivering breakfast and dinner to us due to the pandemic. Bingo, exercise classes, swimming, lectures, and more are some of the activities for the residents to participate in.

I do think they need to manage their med techs a little bit better, we have had some issues with that since being here.

Our family had an in person tour and the community seemed clean enough and the apartments had full kitchenettes.

There wasn’t a significant difference between the places we visited. Like the other places we saw, Terracina Grand was a reasonably good facility. The tour was well organized and professional, and they explained things well. The differences came down to location, which played a small part in our final decision.

This community was not as updated and did not have as many amenities as the one community that we were really looking into. The memory care unit was also not as focused as what we were looking for.

Our loved one is doing fine at the River Commons community, she has acclimated very well. Everyone seems to be very very friendly. Sometimes she says there isn't anything to do over the weekends, but we have to remind her that the workers also have their own lives so sometimes the weekends might just be a little slower.

I had two minor issues with the community. They have to do with the communication. It could be better with the way they present cost during move in. The care they provide is great. They have a preferred pharmacy of Mother's Pharmacy. The community couldn't tell me what the pharmacy would charge for the medication would be.

We did a virtual tour with the community. It was very nice and the staff was friendly, they answered all of our questions and tried to make the virtual tour as good as it can be. The community did fit our needs due to the pricing

Nice newer looking facility. Common spaces and dining room were pleasantly decorated. Apartments were more welcoming, modern and updated compared to other facilities in the area.

The community just changed management. There was recently a price increase. Check all your boxes before going in.

all in all the facility was good. Make sure you do your research and see if the community is a good fit for your loved one. The room size was fine and the food was really good. I would recommend this facility to others but do your research.

The most difficult thing is that the staff never knew anything about my dad or his care. My dad was in memory care. The staff was different every day and there was no continuity. Communication was not good. No one knew anything about how my dad was doing when we would ask. The staff was nice and friendly. It is a big building and the staff was moved around a lot.

[Name removed] was very helpful and the facility appeared well maintained. Due to Covid-19, the facility was pretty well locked down. Did see one apartment "Alcove" that was setup to enter from a rear entrance as to protect the tenants. Difficult to rate facility with the lockdown in place.

They have a fitness center that I like to use. Staff is great. The community is laid out well. I do not like the food.They have a nice lake and a walking path. They have a pool and shuffle board. They really communicate well with the residents. They let us know what is going on in the community.

Amazing facility and grounds are beautiful. [Name removed] was very helpful. Not sure facility is appropriate at this time , maybe for short respite stay.

Lovely facility with various levels of care for residents. Assisted care was rather small (14 units) but studio and 1 bedroom sizes and layouts were good. Nursing care available and could take up to Stage 2 wound care--could not take dad if he's on wound vac however. Independent living areas were very nice although studios were a little on the small size. Loved their tag system in the residential area for keeping track of resident activity. Having a nurse rotation on site is a real plus. The downside is that this facility does not have a Medicaid spend down contract.

A smaller facility but very nice. Relatively clean and has suites with a layout perfect for my Dad. The floor plan meanders with lots of windows and garden areas. They do accept Medicaide patients. Probably the most affordable facility we toured so far.

This was a nice place and very clean, but just not the right fit for my independent father. If it was just my mom, it would have been very nice for her.

My experience at the Inn of Westport has been better than I expected. The community feels like a large family and most of the residents are very friendly and are engaged in the many activities which are available. Management and the employees are cooperative and friendly. The food provided is quite good. The nice dining room and atrium are real assets to the community. I am glad to be here!
