The food at Garden Ridge is certainly above average, and the chef and kitchen manager make sure that those needing low/no sugar, low/no salt, gluten-free and other diets have alternatives to accommodate them. Desserts are made in house. The facility is clean. It has a large, beautiful, and colorful, courtyard, and an outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. There is transportation and the other typical amenities, these facilities all provide. The business manager stays on top of the prompt submission of long-term care insurance reimbursement documents, and the in-house physical therapy team provides wellness checks that are covered by Medicare. I've visited with several dozen residents, they are all very content, and they look forward to meeting friends in the dining hall and during activities. Some have been there over seven years and never experienced any problems like those my parents had at their previous facilities.

This is a beautiful wonderful place. However, it is really a place for people maybe 80+. We were 69 and 70 and just felt like we didn't really belong there yet. Maybe in the future. It was clean and always smelled nice! Staff were kind and friendly.

Liked the size and arrangement of apartments. Appreciated all the provisions of facilities and the availability of trained personnel for health and fitness. Very pleased.

The staff was very supportive and caring. Very patient with my mom. I would recommend to others.

The friendliness is a 5+++. The happiness of the staff, their obvious enjoyment working with each other and the patient, gentle, and yes, loving care of residents sets a great atmosphere. The staff is good as far as I have seen so far. Yes, we would recommend The Commons On Marice to other families.

Does staff seem trained? Does staff seem to actually care about the patient? The staff at Autumn Glen is well trained and very caring.

We did not eat any meals. Value for cost --this is a very high end place. More expensive than other similar places. That's part of the reason we left. Average age is 85 and we were in early 70's so felt a bit out of place.

I spent 3 nights with my dad last week. The room was clean and they were in several times a day to talk with dad. They escort him to lunch and dinner. Large 1 bedroom with a balcony is why we picked them

Small with a caring staff and the food is good. Our family and mom are very pleased with facility.

Staff have been great. Communication is timely. Apartment size is sufficient. Staff were accommodating with the move. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

We have found the staff at Autumn Glen attentive and caring. Everything is documented, you can ask questions anytime. The food is wonderful and there is a variety of items. My mom is a fussy eater, so if she doesn't want something on the menu, I can make changes since Autumn Glen has their own chef. Autumn Glen has a variety of activities everyday that a resident can participate in. Every month they have a big birthday party for the residents that are having a birthday that month. My over all experience has been very good!

Everything has been great! We are so happy with the care our mom is receiving there. The reason for the 3 rating on the food is because we feel the quality of the food is adequate but not incredible. And the reason for the 4 rating on value for money is that it is an incredibly high price tag. We just feel our mom is totally worth it and she has the money available so we want the best for her. We all felt that The Commons On Marice was the nicest of all of the facilities we toured. I would also like to add that every staff member we have had contact with has been extremely kind, caring and accommodating. Our mom was hesitant and nervous at the beginning and the staff was so patient and encouraging with her AND with us. Mom has transitioned well, thanks to their patience and their encouragement, and she is happy to be there now.

Everyone there was great, from management to the aides to the dining room staff. I would absolutely recommend this community to others.

Every thing has been positive. The dining experience has been hit or miss with most being hits. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The people are friendly. So far so good!

The place is very nice. They have happy hour people singing dancing dining room. Everything very nice. My dad really likes it. He said he wished he had found a place sooner. Really no complaints at all a few times at ate there. The food is good. Have a nice selection plenty of activities. I get a phone call at 11 tells me he's gonna go down. He won't be back up till four 430 playing cards dice plenty of puzzles and I think everyone knows his name. Do yourself a favor don't pass this place up if you're looking.

My only caveat is that my mom has not chosen to participate in many activities, so I don't have much experience to rate that category. She has enjoyed the pedal exercise sessions and a couple of excursions that she participated in. Overall, she has had a wonderful experience at Chandler Place. All of the staff I've met have been friendly and positive. The food is consistently good. I highly recommend Chandler Place!

All employees at Chandler Place are trained to learn all of the residents names, are polite when having conversations with the residents even if they have already heard that "story", are respectful and treat the residents with dignity.
