The Cottages Senior Living

My parents shared at room at the Cottages after a fall and a stroke. We feel that the staff is warm and loving and very aware of individual needs of each resident. The nursing staff kept us apprised of changes in their health and medications. Aesthetically the Cottages is immaculate with no bad odors. We are very happy with the care received by our loved ones. I would highly recommend the Cottages to anyone looking for a clean, safe and loving place for someone with dementia.

Cottages CC is the best place for my mom. She has been there for five years next month. The staff there is the best, so I know and feel good that mom is in good hands. I would recommend highly this place to anyone.

My mom has lived here for 4 1/2 years and has received excellent care!! She had several behaviors that are common to seniors with dementia that greatly improved within six months with the help of the staff. The state creates a very loving atmosphere for the residents. Also, the facility is very clean!

My husband was only with the Cottages for 6 days before his death. The staff was friendly and professional and really tried to help him. Unfortunately, he passed away as his body just gave up. Thanks for everything.

The three meals a day are made for the residents right there in the central kitchen area, just like at home. The smells and kitchen activities are comforting and familiar for the residents. The meals are tasty and the and proportions are generous. The meals give the residents something to look forward to each and every day. The staff have always been pleasant on every visit and many of them have been there for several years.

The nursing home is very attentive and worked very well attending to details of taking care of my husband. He was only there 4 weeks but it was clean, adequate, and met our needs. The doctor spent a lot of time checking my husband and helped me arrive at the reality of how bad he was and what we were facing. I thank God for taking care of Bill at such a difficult time.

I love that my mom is loved by the staff that work at the cottages. It makes me feel so happy to know when I am not with her there are people and residents who care for her. I appreciate the fact I can call and text anyone to the team that care for her and I always get a response and its easy to communicate with them. I truly adore them. They are good people and I am glad that I found my mom a good place to be taken care of.

We love the Cottages at Chandler Creek! The care my mother receives is far superior compared to where she placed before, which we thought was really good care. The staff, especially Mary, Teresa, and so many others, treat Wilma as if she is family. The staff and facility is always clean and efficient. They treat each client with respect and dignity.

We found The Cottages after an exhaustive search for Memory Care throughout Austin and surrounding areas. We were impressed with their Dementia Care theories derived from The Mayo Clinic, which include group activities with various forms of music, in-the-moment skills, and a high level of specificity. We were also drawn to the bright and charming small neighborhoods with color coordinated dining rooms, living rooms, and short hallways. As my grandmother is acclimating to her new home, she repeatedly comments with awe that she now lives in "such a beautiful place!" My family is relieved that she is happy, safe, and most importantly - seen.

Everyone here has dementia or some kind of memory loss. It's challenging but this place is very high functioning. The only complaint I have is that I have to bring my husband ear drops and various supplies several times. It would be nice if they had some type of system that tips you for gas. Other than that, This is a great place! I would highly recommend The Cottages at Clear Lake. I have had a great experience.

I would give this place a five stars. My loved one is very happy and loves it here. The food is good. The staff is absolutely wonderful and caring. The give each resident time and show that they care for them.

They are doing a real good job. I looked at a lot of places, and spoke with a lot of people. They made me feel that they actually cared. He is happier there, than he has been even living with family. They asked us all about him and his life, and use those things to help redirect him when needed. They are on the high end but you get what you pay for.

I have no concerns with them at all. We haven't gotten to spend a whole lot of time there, because we have been in and out with medical issues. However they have been absolutely wonderful with us. They have been really caring, they have called in and checked on her, just to see how she is doing, and have been following her progress. They have been great.

My mother in law is not an easy memory care resident. She has been known to refuse to eat and drink, landing herself in the hospital. Most of the time, she is very suspicious of her caregivers and won't trust them to do things for her. But these problems seem to have disappeared at the Cottages at Chandler Creek. After just a day or two there, the staff identified her "particulars" and made sure her food was just how she wanted it; she continues to eat well after over a month there. She also is engaging in activities and lets the staff help her with her grooming...again, this is something that was not happening at her last facility. The staff lets us know everything going on with her, and the on-site services with the physicians and therapists have been amazing. We couldn't be more happy with her care.

They do an awesome job here! We were in crisis mode when we first contacted them, and they were right on top of things and got right on top of the situation. They had the hospice service they work with helping us within 24 hours, and once my loved one was moved in the care they provided was fantastic. The staff were all very caring and helpful, and checked in on him all the time. They specialize in memory care and alzheimer's care, and you can really tell they know their stuff.
