The Cottages Senior Living

Warm and friendly staff work hard to keep residents and family happy! Mom has been living at The Cottages for six years and I never have to worry about her care.

Everyone is excellent and helpful with request.

I appreciate care and concern provided by the staff for my mother.

They do an excellent job of caring for my loved one (my wife). It is more than just meeting her needs, it is done with a touch of love. They make it personal.

Wonderful facility. My husband has been here 3 months. The staff is loving, respectful, courteous and very qualified. He seems happy, content and is participating in activities. He has dementia and was very hard to find a place that I was comfortable to leave him. I am so happy we found the Cottages.

The staff and all employees do a very good job taking care of my mom. It is also a clean and tidy place.

Par excellence – for 7 years it has been my mom’s home. Staff has loved her like their own. Their dedication during Harvey and then their hospice care to death – I can find no fault in the cottages. Words cannot express my admiration gratitude and appreciation. Exemplary end of life care!!

When we mention something it gets taken care of immediately. Very clean place. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Mini snacks or meals all day. He eats here and has not lost weight. Activities and lots to do. Consistent schedule.

This is a great place. We love it. Everyone is very caring.

Very good all-around for dealing with special residents. Also great help with family members and extended family to learn to cope with these life changing events.

When our previous community realized they couldn’t assist my mother in-law, we had to move her but I really wish she could have got here sooner to get what she needed. They worked with us and answered all of our questions. They contacted us when anything happened and they needed answers. Even the building manager was great! The staff interacted with other patients very well. If one of them got lost in the halls they would hold their hand and bring them to where they needed to be. The facility even had picnics, parties, and family nights where they would grill out hot dogs and hamburgers! The staff doesn’t like the patients just sitting around and being depressed. They invite them to play paddle board, dominoes, games with balloons and pool noodles. Even when things got bad they were still providing care to our family. I would really recommend this place.

Dad let me know what he was looking for in a community and this community had it all. He is doing outstanding better than anyone could ever have hoped for. He is doing things he hasn't done in years he is taken advantage of all activities and events they have. He is loving the food honestly there is not anything bad to say about this community in our eyes. The staff is amazing. I would highly recommend this community to anyone.

They made the move into this community very smooth. The staff did a great job of helping my husband ease into this new situation. The caregivers are kind, lovely, treat the residents so well and call them by name. The community is clean and there is an outside patio with a beautiful fenced in yard. He enjoys the well balanced meals and they offer snacks. They helped us find a great home health agency for his hospice care. They engage him in some of the daily activities. I am really pleased and I would recommend this community.

This is a nice community for care. I like the staff who keep me informed on changes for my mom. The community is clean and maintained. We like that she is active with the list of the activities that are offered to the residents. They have a nice menu of healthy meals. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

My husband has dementia and this community is able to provide good care. So far his transition has been good. The community is all good and clean. He enjoys the smaller experience during meal times. There are 4 areas for residents to eat. He has made some friends during meal time. His bedroom is kept nice and clean and nothing has been misplaced by housekeeping or staff. I would recommend the community to family and friends.

We are very pleased with this community, they are caring for my father very well. He is doing very well here. The nursing are great, they really took the time to get to know my father and understand his needs. It is a new community so everything looks new and very clean. There are activities offered for the residents. The owner Lynda has been great to work with. I know he is safe and I would recommend this facility.

I moved mom to this community because they allowed pets. They have been wonderful this far and I'm hoping it continues. They have allowed my mom to have her cat and they help assist her with taking care of the cat, something that I have not found in other facilities.

My father has been at The Cottages in Round Rock for a little over a month and we love it. He's happy and well taken care of. The management staff, nurses, aids & housekeeping are wonderful. We visit frequently and always find my father calm, content, clean & well groomed. The Cottages offers tons of activities to keep their residents busy and plenty of food/snacks to keep up their strength.

I had the pleasure of looking at this community and found that it is well maintained and looks great. The director was very great at answering all my question and showed me all that was to view. I came during lunch time and it seemed that is was going okay. The rooms are nice and spacious and some had private bathrooms. The staff are welcoming and great and seem to know what they are doing.

My mother lived here for 15 months, until her death. a strong point for us was that as her dementia progressed, she would not be required to move to a nursing home. She stayed in her familiar environment even on hospice, through her death. The staff is fabulous. As I told many people, "Mother is doing very well care for, and very kindly cared for-and to find that combination is rare."
