The Cottages Senior Living

WE had a really nice tour experience with The Cottages at Chandler Creek. The facility and staff were all very nice, but the size of the rooms for memory care were too small. It just did not fit our needs and what we were looking for.

My experience was wonderful. We felt like our loved one was taken care of well. Whenever we had questions or concerns, the staff was quick to provide answers and allay our fears. They treated Dad like he was their beloved family member. Their full-service was a relief, especially Hospice at the end. It was comforting to know he wasn't suffering or uncomfortable. [name removed] [name removed][name removed] the entire staff was great to work with during a very difficult and stressful time. I would make the same choice for my loved one if we had it to do over again.

My husband was at another facility that treated him terribly and they treat him like a king here. He is always clean, shaven, hair combed, freshly dressed, etc. every time I drop in to see him. If you put your family member here, you do not have to worry about them when they are at The Cottages. You will always be informed and updated on what is going on. They still have pretty strong covid restrictions, but it is understandable. I get many pictures from the staff to keep me involved. They absolutely love him. I already recommended them to a friend and her husband is here as well. They are able to handle all stages of dementia and they handle it well - they are just awesome and very involved with the residents. My husband is very happy and we could not be happier. They treat the residents with so much dignity and respect. There are no restrictions for the residents, they are able to walk around and do whatever they would like to do - that freedom is huge for memory care residents. The facility looks like a fancy house and it is very home like. Each wing gets to eat together family style which is nice because it gives them a sense of belonging.

We chose The Cottages because we liked the fact the entire facility is memory care, the staff is outstanding and caring and have been here a long time, and also she was able to take her cats. I cannot say enough good things about them. When I took the tour, [name removed] was outstanding. I was expecting it to be more expensive because of the beautiful facility, care, etc. and it was reasonably priced compared to others we saw. They truly care about their residents and it shows. I would highly recommend them.

This community is clean and smells good. The staff are friendly and my mom seems very happy. We are not allowed in during meal time due to restrictions and I am not able to see activities due to this either.

We chose The Cottages because they are strictly memory care facility and they cover different levels as well. The staff members are so understanding and sweet and handle every situation perfectly. The caregivers were amazing with my dad, when he passed they were devastated and it shows that they treated him just like it was their own family member. They have so many activities provided and something going on at all times. We just love this facility and feel so lucky to have had him here.

The community is open to feedback and will try and resolve any issues. I would like to more staff on hand in the community. The community is very neat and clean and the staff are very friendly. I feel like my loved one is safe and well taken care of. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

From our understanding the food is good, we are always being told that our loved one eats everything and never complains. We think the community is doing fine, they are taking very good care of our loved one and always communication with us when something comes up regarding our loved one.

My mom is 91, and has advanced Alzheimer's. I have had her in a few different places, and the same problems kept coming up. Unfortunately, I cannot care for her myself. So, after the last place tanked, I reluctantly began the search for another place. I stumbled onto the Cottages, and I can finally say Eureka! I have found it!. The facility is spacious, with 4 interconnected family rooms, and two great big dining tables situated next to an actual kitchen where you can see the food being prepared. Its big enough for my mom to pace, but not big enough to get lost in. The food, always an issue at the other places, is actually very good. Steaming bowls of chicken pot pie, chicken noodle soup with home-made noodles, always seconds available. But the big draw is the staff. They are very caring and kind. Whenever I call, the phone is answered right away, and I speak to an actual staff member immediately. If I ask to speak to my mom, they put her on the phone right away. I feel as hands on as possible without her living with me, and that is new. And they have a very reasonable price. So, the facility, the food and the staff are stellar. Finally, I can RELAX!

The caregivers and staff, the layout and decor, every part is wonderful. It is bright, cheery and full of life. Every staff member is patient and kind. I thank God that I found this place for my mom. I love you all.

After visiting several memory care facilities to ensure my mother would be well cared for in her journey through this difficult stage in her life, I found the cottages at Chapel Creek to be a notch above the others. I can verify that the commitment to the best care possible is a top priority here.

The cottages have become our second family. The whole team is beyond expectations.

This is a well organized, clean, friendly and supportive facility. We moved my uncle here when it was no longer safe for him to live independently. There are plenty of activities to keep him active, engaged and safe within the facility. The Cottages at Clear Lake is specifically focused on caring for those with memory issues. We visit often at many different times of the day and have always found every staff member regardless of who they are helping, to be patient, kind and supportive. Additionally, my uncle’s room, his clothes and he personally, are always clean. The food and snacks which are cooked on site are tasty and nutritious. We have also used their large, separate family room to celebrate his birthday with him. The Cottages has a broad variety of activities including: exercise, music, games, crafts, visiting musicians and therapy pets. One of the other many good things they do which really helps keep the folks hydrated is serve water throughout the day with meals, snacks and any meds. They also administer any meds so they are taken properly and at the correct time. We have peace of mind that he is safe, cared for and well supported.

Since moving my Mother from Orchard Park to The Cottages....she has improved immensely. She loves the food. She is more engaged with the activities that go on all day. The staff is superb.

Our mother was a resident at The Cottages at Quail Creek for approximately five months prior to her death. She was suffering from Alzheimer's. The staff loved and cared for her with tremendous compassion. They regularly hugged and kissed her and when she was having a good day they would sing and dance with her. When she died, they were comforters and supporters to my family. Some of them even came on their day off to be with us.

Placing my Dad in a care facility was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. We tried caring for him in our home. I knew when he was trying to leave at all hours of the day and night that I was not going to be successful with home care. I found The Cottages at Quail Creek and I can say that after 8 months this was the best decision I could have made. Their entire staff have been the answer we were looking for. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing a locked community for their loved ones.

It is bright, cheery, and full of life, instead of lonely and depressing. I have been to 30 facilities ranging from memory care, to independent living and none compare to this! Secondly, the staff from the top down is wonderful. The longer your loved one is there, the more you realize this. They are sweet, skillful and available! My mother has gone through ups and downs with her dementia to the point of being psychotic and even aggressive when they help her shower or use the bathroom or come out of her room for lunch or to take her medicine. Every caregiver or nurse that is dealing with my mom has been super patient and caring during any episode that my mom has had. They calm her and very skillfully figure out a creative way to help my mother. Time and time again! This isn't only every staff member, it is the management, and marketing team. EVERYONE!!! I have gotten to know them and they care for my mom like I do. And by the way we have cameras in her room, so we watch all the time, so this is speaking from someone who is actually observing this constantly. I can't thank them enough for caring enough about my Mom and understanding enough about the disease to know that this isn't my mom when she acts this way and not giving up on her but continuing to be there for her in a very trying time in her life. My Mom deserves that, and I thank god that they are giving that to her and that I found this place! Thank You Cottages! I love every one of you!

We are very pleased with the care my 89-year-old mother receives at The Cottages. The staff is kind, compassionate and respectful of the residents. They also provide reassurance to family members. The facility is well-appointed, sunny and organized. I highly recommend The Cottages and am very grateful for the care and concern the staff and leadership provide the person I love most in this world.
