My father went to this facility as an assisted living resident. Shortly after arriving he became ill and went to the hospital for 4 nights. Upon returning to the facility he went into the skilled nursing unit. The staff at the Fountains have been very cooperative in working through the changes. I and my father have been treated with dignity and respect. They are working with Dad in an effort to get him back into assisted living. I am impressed with staff, both administrative and the the employees that take care of the residents. Many activities are available for the residents to participate in.

Point blank it's the staff. Staff attitude!!!!! What a great attitude from Qwanda and her husband. These two made the the difference and sold me on Washington Commons. Everything else is what i expect from an Assisted Living. The living quarters, common areas, and activities are all of high standard which I expect. Once again, the exceptional thing is staff attitude and main two people Qwanda and her husband.

The Fountains has been a good experience. They are on the verge of being slightly understaffed. The food is a four out of five, it's good. The staffing is the only issue we have had there so far. I'm there weekly if not two to three times a week, generally it's positive everybody seems to be engaged with the residents, and their clients, and their jobs. Overall it's a good experience, but they are stretching it with the responsibilities they give their caregivers. For the price it was the best available option. Based upon what I've seen and know I would say that they are above average.

Things are so-so, it's just that this is our first experience with it. The palce has been very accomodating, we've actually moved her around a bit at their suggestion. They've been good, they've provided the services, we felt a little ripped off with the babysitting services we were getting, there's no doubt in my mind we paid through the nose, I really doubt they didn't have someone who could be there. Now she's in memory care which is a lot different and she's not happy about it but it is what it is. There's a pretty high ratio of staff to residents (if you listen to her, she calls them "inmates"). She has great ups and downs of lucidity, so there's times when she doesn't need memory care at all but she's figured out she can't leave. The cares pretty good, she's fallen a couple of times but they've been all over it and taken her to the hospital. For the most part they're there and can take care of her, are they always warm and fuzzy? No, but I can't imagine doing their job all day and being warm and fuzzy all the time. It's never crossed our minds to look elsewhere, we know she's safe, we know they're looking after her, she's getting fed, she's waited way too long to do this, she waited 10 years too long. People should do this when they're fairly independent and have most of the faculties.

It was very nice, we were paying a lot every month and it was too much money, it took 45 minutes to an hour just to get over to visit and we wanted them closer. My dad was still pretty good when he was here, he broke one hip and then the other a couple of months later and he couldn't walk after the second surgery so he had to be put in a wheelchair but he was still getting aroudn pretty good. My mother had alzheimers so they were in the memory care unit. It was fine, just too far away and too expensive

Haywood Estates is one of only two facilities that offer independent living in Greenville. After touring both, they seemed comparable and I went with Haywood Estates because of their proximity to my home. It is still early to rate them on some things, but we have not had any major issues or concerns. We would recommend Haywood Estates to those in need of an independent living facility.

Billed for the room after we moved out. Thousands of dollars removed from our account in error. Loved [name removed] in Memory Care. She truly cares.

The food is quite satisfactory, there doesn't seem to be staff available when needed and they do not get things done in a timely fashion at all. My father has a sitter as he is working towards independence and she complains almost everyday. She is sweet and hard working and a total advocate for him. We have put in work orders that are not completed. His tv still isn't working correctly since he started there about 6 weeks ago. It is somewhat dated but I think they are renovating parts of it. The staff is generally pleasant but they yes you to death. It's very frustrating. He's in a studio which is fine in size. The sitter keeps it clean, otherwise I'm not sure what state it would be in. The residents are very nice and generally seem happy to greet you.

There were a few things we didn't notice until after my mom had moved in. We didn't notice until after they had a few false fire alarms in the evening, the main center stairs off of the dinning area do not go all the way up to the 3rd floor. This is limited access to the 3rd floor in case of emergencies. If the elevator is not working you have to use the side stairs and they are narrow. (One elevator) that gets so much use. It broke once for a long time and the residents on the 3rd floor had to get food served to their rooms because access to the downstairs dinning area was difficult to get to. Also, they have after hours where there are no Fairmont staff there on site after a certain time. We thought there was at least one contact person there all the time. They just have an off site on call person at night. They are not in the building. Also, I feel it would be better if there were badge readers or key fobs to enter and exit the main doors after hours. At this time they gave out keys to the residents for their family. Also, if badge readers or fobs were used, they could track entry and exits that are assigned to residents who live there. Also, we found out later that they are not able to assist residents if they fall or need help. They would have to call 911 for assistance. They say no staff is trained for that type of resident assistance. My mom still gets around pretty good on her own, so this has not made a huge difference for her but these are just a few things we noticed after she move into the Fairmont.

They have a wide variety of different activities for the residents and the staff members are VERY friendly and nice.

Can't say enough about how much the staff tries to meet all the guidelines. Their attitudes are exceptional and very helpful. Keeping the place clean is a real chore because they are grossly understaffed. The food is sufficient. The activities are fun. You have to keep in mind that 2 weeks after moving in here my husband was in the hospital 8 days. He had just been released from Healthcare when I had to have back surgery and go to my post-op in 3 days. They have been very nice to us but truly, the place needs help. They are having to do the bare minimum with a very small crew. Sign of the times. I can still say I'm happy here. Just have to accept things as they are and hope they'll get better. We are an a 2 bedroom apt and it is plenty of room for us.

I put my dad in a memory care facility, one of the main reasons was for his safety. During the day they were great, a lot of activities and even took them out each Monday. But at night he fell twice. The second time he went into hospital for X-rays and he fractured his hip and back, a day later he had a stroke and a few days later passed away. I just want families to know if their loved one is a fall risk this is jot the place for them. Otherwise I was happy with the facility and all it offered, beautiful dining room, good food, activities and friendly staff.

What the salesperson presented and what we found were 2 different things. Difficulty in administration addressing our concerns with vegetarian + fish diet. 30 min response time twice once using emergency pull at night. No one on desk after 8. Food portions small. Didn't receive emergency pendent for days upon arrival.

Deepwood Estates raised the monthly rate by 8% for all the residents starting in [date removed]. My understanding was the increase could only be raised legally on their anniversary date. This is huge increase for everyone.

The facility seems nice, but we went through A Place For Mom. They supposedly scheduled our tour but no one knew we were coming. The pricing quoted by A Place For Mom was not correct. Unfortunately they do not work with and government assistance and are not as affordable as we thought.

Overall is a 3. I am trying to be fair. The concern over the poor caregiver is a real problem and probably the most important aspect of having family in assisted living Some things they did really well, others not as well which really took away from the total experience. 2. Cleanliness-5 The place looks new and is well maintained in the common areas. The cleaning staff is very good but stretched too thin on the individual rooms which are done roughly once a week. 3. Friendliness-4 Most staff and admin are very friendly unless there is a question or a problem and then no one wants to talk to you or accept responsibility. 4. Quality of Care-3 This is the area where we had trouble. The majority of caregivers were very good. We had issue with only one who was rude (told my Dad that CNA stood for "cleaning [removed]" which Dad found offensive) and always in a hurry. Mom slide or fell out of her recliner once and her wheelchair once-both with the same caregiver. Mom was not seriously hurt but this was unnecessary and unaddressed by the administration. We checked on our parents daily and were able to keep tabs. 5. Admin staff-4 The sales representative was outstanding. The process to be admitted was clear and straightforward. The finance director was good. The head nurse was caring and knowledgeable but unable or unwilling to address personnel issues. They had a new executive director who never introduced himself and rarely left his office. 6. Food-4 The food and dining area were excellent. Low staff turnover. Plenty of food and variety. 7. Activities-4 there were a-lot of activities which most folks really enjoyed. Overall the place has a happy vibe. The courtyard was really lovely and a great place to sit. 8. Value for the money-4 The Blake is fairly expensive however it is a safe facility, clean and has decent food & staff. The issue with a poor caregiver and the lack of addressing the caregiver & two falls really took away from the experience for us. It also took away from two other caregivers who were extremely good. As a separate point-you really had to check that you were getting services-like weekly laundry, showers and change of clothes.

Overall experience - transportation to appointments has consistently been messed up. What they could improve on would be just transportation for his appointments to stop getting messed up. Overall happy about his social life there

Excellent outings and indoor activities. Dining area very nice. Improvements ~ Management needs lots of improvement. Extremely disorganized. When items were sent by family to residents, certain ones were not deliverable and were not returned to family. Staff kept them. Added up to quite a bit of money. Would not recommend to others.

Your host in guiding me was very helpful. I was told something on this property that have not happened. But she is safe and happy at the moment. Hope she doesn't out grow it. The dining has been a struggle with maybe 3 cooks since she moved in April. I know it has been a company change but the food should be the star...Her location is key for me and family. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Her room is perfect for her needs. With laundry and bed cleaning

Deepwood Estate is not a luxury place but comfortable with all needs met for independent living. Food menus needs improvement. Over kill on salt in food. Repetitive menus. Need more room for parking. All staff and severs are always kind and helpful in any situation. I am enjoying.
