The Blake by QSL Management

The community has a lot of activities. From what we have seen they seem to have high turnover. Communication could be better. We do not get responses or follow up when we provide feedback or leave messages. I would not recommend this community to others that are older and need more assistance.

I looked at other places and I liked the way they handled everything when I came to Whealdon Estates. They explained everything perfectly and were very friendly and helpful. The location was great as well from my family. I would recommend to others looking. One of the only issues we have had is they cannot keep a chef and also we run out of milk a lot, so we can only get one glass a day.

We chose The Blake at the time because we had to make a quick decision in a time frame and they were able to take her. We also liked the location and the safety of it. It is a beautiful facility but we have not been overly impressed. Communication with the staff members has been difficult, there is not always good with following through with things. Our loved one thinks that the food could use improvement, she asks for them not to put certain things on her food and they do it anyways. I do think things would be better if we were allowed inside the facility and would be able to get to know the staff members better.

My loved one had items stolen out of their room. I am unhappy with the community's response on this situation. I am not happy with my loved one being here. I believe my loved one is happy with the food. There is a lot of staff turnover with cleaning staff and such.

I think others should know when looking into The Regency House that for what they are going to pay, the food should be a lot better. They do not have a lot of variety, we get the same thing multiple times in a week. The facility does not provide many activities, it is very boring. They charge too much for what they do not do. The staff members need to watch their language, they use words they should not use in this type of setting in front of the residents. I have found a lot of people here have Alzheimer's, from 730 PM-730 AM there is no one at the front desk. Sometimes the front door is wide open and unlocked which is alarming especially for the Alzheimer's residents. I think they need someone watching the door from those times. The facility needs better upkeep.

Unfortunately, this facility has not lived up to our expectations. Granted, activities have been reduced or curtailed due to COVID 19, but not to the extent as here. We no longer have access to transportation to shops or doctor appointments, or outside activities. Most activities are passive and restricted to a small number of people, so even if one wanted to participate there is little incentive to do so. Food is monotonous , without much nutritional value. Staff are friendly and helpful. Apartments are comfortable, with many floor plans to choose from.

Staff good, room O.K., food weak point. Lived in Cajun land, miss Cajun food.

The people living here are very friendly and happy. There are some things I would like to see changed but I'm not sure why they are done the way they are.

We pay a lot of money to live here but the lunch and dinner meals are horrible. I don't know who provides the meal planning but it needs to be looked into. Our chefs are great and they work well with what they have. Please, look into this problem for our welfare. Thank you.

I thought the common spaces at the community were clean and someone was always there to assist me if I had any questions. The staff did a good job with checking on my mother periodically and helped her to get to certain areas that she was confused about to attend activities. We absolutely thought Ashley Park was worth the price.

Did not like my tour, staff not very welcoming or friendly, and not very knowledgeable. Sales leader was absent.

Walking to the dinning room etc. was too far and hard for Mom. Needs some renovations, especially the kitchen cabinets.

Dirty carpet. Smelly. Rooms looked really dated. In the halls the lighting was poor. Only had 2 one bedroom apartments so it could be a long time before one becomes available. Large private and semi-private rooms do not have kitchenettes and refrigerator or microwave is not provided in these rooms. Complementary cookies were excellent though.

The kitchen is to small. That's a problem cause the food in the dining room is sub par. It's kind of like high school cafeteria food.

Ashley Park is a lovely property. My mother-in-law was so excited to be connected to this place. It is unfortunate that her health declined not long after settling in there. She found the staff friendly and helpful. Other residents were friendly and a few were unfriendly/mean. She enjoyed the activities when she could. Perhaps it was her health, we thought the food looked and smelled wonderful — she HATED it! Generally she was underwhelmed by her experience there. Her caregivers (Tender Touches) were a wonderful group of women that she loved. She sang their praises daily! They were very supportive of her and us. Just a word of caution, at a time when there are long waiting lists for seniors to get into independent communities, Ashley Park was 50% leased! Perhaps there are better values/communities out there.

Was a very pleasant visit! We saw each of the floor plans & their costs, had lunch with 2 lovely ladies. The home is very open & inviting. [Name removed] was delightful showing us around & answering questions. I am taking it very slow ...seriously considering staying where I am & maybe sharing my home with another.. Cost-wise that's probably my best option.

Nice Staff, very friendly, home looking like the 2 other Holiday places we've been in. Still need some update on the bathrooms and kitchnets they are looking old and stained.we have not eaten there but food looks ok They all clam to have chefs but food still look and smell like school cafeteria food. The only difference is that it is served on table.

Lovely place and people. We enjoyed lunch with one of their embassator ladies. Nice apartments and fair prices. A little too far away for us.

This is a quaint place - not the lifestyle mom is looking for. I'm sure it is a wonderful place for some, but it is showing is age in decor and amenities.

Was nice but saw only 3 residents the whole time and they appeared to be ancient - hardly moving or alert. By the time you finish adding all the amenities it becomes extremely expensive. May go back to visit again after seeing another place.
