Haywood Estates is an okay community. The price is a little less than some other communities in the area. You get what you pay for. We have been pleased overall so far. The food was good when they were serving in the dining room. It is harder now with the lock down for the quarantine.

Sales manager very welcoming. Rooms nice size. Wonderful community amenities. Residents are active. Place somewhat dated and hallways and elevators could be cleaner.

My wife and I moved into the Blake with such high expectations. Several months in the excitement wore off as they seemed to be having difficulty with their management team after several directors left. We were very disappointed and dissatisfied and felt as thought their were many unfulfilled promises. We were preparing to move out as our frustrations intensified but in the last month or so the new leadership team has overcome obstacles and are making up for the errors of the past. We are seeing much more activity, excitement, and our needs being met. We never thought our closet and sink would be fixed, but just mention to the new Executive Director and it was done in a jiffy, he even fixed it himself. The food has improved and the care staff are happy and eager to serve us. Our apartment is spacious with great lighting and a suitable kitchenette. Our shower is large, easily accessible, with safety rails. We have several area we’re we mingle with our neighbors including a well stocked bar and theatre. I belong to the bridge club and I play 3-4 times a week with them. I attend all of outings and we can easily schedule a transport if needed. Thankful for the turnaround. We are excited to see things improving and are so thankful for the care and opportunities we are offered at The Blake at Charlottesville!

Very friendly staff and showed us every option available to us. The food prep is not variable to accomodate my food allergy, and this is a deal breaker.

We have been very pleased with the care our loved one has received. We feel that you try very hard to meet all of her needs. It is a wonderful facility and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Moving into The Blake has lessened the anxiety we had about giving up our home as the staff has been so willing to assist to make the transition bearable. We look forward to many years of satisfied service.

Fun place, great staff, many activities, residents are very friendly. Clean but lighting could use an upgrade.

All my experiences have been wonderful. The food has always been very good. My Aunt has had no complaints. The staff has been very supportive in all situations concerning her care. I give them an A+

Apt size great for couple. Food and food service is good. Not special but good and flavorful. More than one elevator needed but not probable. Additional help for maintenance. Afternoon doctor bus schedule.

People are really friendly here. We like [names removed], our managers. [Name removed] in sales is helpful. It's pleasant here, it's not home but it's the next best thing.

Our Experience here at Smokey Springs has been a very good one. I think the best part of the place is the staff - very caring and professional! Room pricing and food services are good and holiday dining is great! All in all a good place for Mom.

I like the community.

Beautiful, well decorated building but did not care for the location. Still, it was quiet within and you could not hear the busy street outside. Small assisted living population vs memory care and those residents who were out and about didn’t seem to be communicating with each other. Good sized apartments and friendly staff. Mom was impressed overall.
