The Blake by QSL Management

The Blake is a beautiful community. This is a good place for memory care needs. Everyone is friendly and they care about our loved one. This is a smaller community, which is a great. The communication between the different caregivers and other staff, and also with the family could be improved. The medication management and missing of our loved one's doses needs to be communicated better to the family and make sure that our loved one is taking their medication. They have an activity room, and I think it might be better to have in a common area to allow more residents to participate. The food is excellent and the family has eaten there and felt the same way. There are snacks for the residents to have when they need a pick me up. The room, laundry, housekeeping, all the meals, there are some basic outings, maintenance, basic cable, utilities and some basic care is included in the monthly fee. Bathing assistance, medication management, and more are some of the basic care provided by the community. There is a beauty salon on site for the residents to take advantage of.

We had a wonderful tour at The Fairmont. But very specifically, one of the things that took them out of my list of potential places was their anticipated annual rent increase would have been huge for me on a fixed income. I ended up choosing a brand new facility with expected increases closer to cost of living increases.

We had a good tour with Magnolia Brook on Siegen. The facility was bigger and brand new at the time we saw it. It seemed to be geared more towards the general population and had assisted living as well as memory care provided. It was located near our home, so we would have been happy with this facility if it came down to it.

So far I would recommend it. So far they have been very accommodating to our loved ones.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was nice, but The Regency House had the same layout and amenities as another community we were looking into but The Regency House was asking for a much higher rate. That is why we chose not to move our loved one here.

My loved one really likes this community the staff are very friendly and helpful with my loved one. My loved one enjoys activities here and there is always something for the residents to do to stay busy in this community. Overall for what is paid it is decent and average community for your loved one.

The friendliness here is beyond what I ever expected. Every resident is very open and willing and happy to talk with and visit with you. For the most part, the staff is the same way, especially the manager, one of her assistants, and the chef. They are all very outgoing. Because of Covid, they're having trouble finding staff to help with transportation to appointments and things. And they're also having a lot of trouble finding staff to clean the apartments. So cleanliness has been a little lacking, although the dining area is in excellent shape. The food is very good. I like that they really concentrate on a balanced meal for our big meal, which is served at lunch. We can always depend upon having fresh salad and vegetables. They have a good variety of meat and fish. The activities are great, and very well-rounded. They offer activities that provide mental stimulation as well as physical stimulation. And I think it's a good value. Smoky Springs is not as expensive as some of the other places that we looked at.

It was a nice community that is larger and had some older décor.

My mom enjoys the meals, and I've enjoyed all the food I've tried as well. She enjoys the company of the people she gets along with. (You'll have people anywhere that you don't get along with.) The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They're very responsive to any issues. There are a lot of activities going on, and my mom is really enjoying herself.

They have wonderful a la cart services and we would recommend this community to other families.

This community was my loved ones favorite but there were a lot of things that did not line up. I could not get lined up with the nurse to take care of things that we needed to do. The fact that this could not be taken care of before my loved one was even there made me feel like they would be too busy once my loved one was there.

The staff are responsive to any needs the family or resident may have. The activities such as keno, bingo, technology assistance days, entertainment, chair exercise and more for the residents to participate in if they choose to.

Our family had an in person tour and the community was really nice, but our loved one just did not like the vibe. Also the gentlemen who gave the tour was quite young, and we aren't sure if he was just not familiar with the community, didn't have time or what but we just did not hit it off

The Anthology community feels very spacious, it does not feel like you are walking into a medical facility, it feels very homey. Also the apartments for the residents are a nice size and feel homey to.

Our family had a virtual tour and with everything we saw and everyone we talked to we had a pretty decent experience.

Dogwood Terrace was very nice and we had a good tour, but the size of the apartment for the price was much more than another facility we were looking at.

We chose Ashley Park because of the value for the money, it was everything that we hoped it would be. They have been short staffed which is reflecting in the food and activities some, but I know that is a problem everywhere. Overall it has been a good experience, staff are polite, it is very clean, and it is in a good location. I would recommend to others looking.

This is a great place. They need more staff and to do better with their meals. The portion sizes are very small, and the residents aren't able to get seconds. A lot of the residents will eat more food in their rooms after the meals. They serve a lot of cabbage here. The residents are helping set tables due to the staff shortage.

We chose Dogwood Terrace because they were the cheapest that we were able to find in the area. For the money and what they offer, it is great. The apartment sizes are nice, he has a studio and it is perfect for what he needs. I would recommend to others.
