The Blake by QSL Management

Loved the location. The staff and residents we met were all friendly and this would be a great community to live in. The menu and the activity calendar are varied and perfect for seniors. The independent living accommodations are a bit dated and may be for more active seniors as there are no benches in the showers and the doorways are narrow. Another negative for my parents is the walk from the apartment to the community areas for dining, activities, etc. as they are in a separate building.

Overall the community is of great value and is in a great location. There are coordinated trips to shop and there are lots of activities for the residence. I would recommend this community to others based on our experience

The staff is very good and very friendly. They respond to any maintenance requests quickly. The food is really good and they do have some activities available. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

We chose The Regency House because it was more feasible for our family. The apartment sizes here are good for what we need. It has been a good experience and I would recommend them to others who are looking.

We toured this community and it is very nice. The facility looks good and they have had a good covid plan in place. I have a friend that is at this community.

I think no matter how prepared you are, you're not going to cover everything. It's a learning experience. Try to have patience and give things time. And every one of our loved one's needs are different, like fingerprints. Try not to beat yourself up too bad about your decision. Looking back on the several months my loved one has been there now, it seems to have gotten better, and it does seem to have been the best answer. It's a lot of money, but they're able to provide the extra care we're not able to. And I think she's happier. She gets to focus on the here and now. I promised my father that I would keep her safe, and I think with Sunrise that I've met that obligation. The staff are absolutely very friendly. Activities seem to be good. Talking to my loved one, she's raved about someone they had come by to sing one night, and they play lots of games. They send out a newsletter. I'm sure that there are more expensive, better places, and I know there are less expensive, worse places. So here locally in the Baton Rouge area, I would put them in the top two thirds of places. It's terrible that money has to come down to a consideration for something like this, but that's life. But I think we've made the right choice. It's in a good location for our family to stop by and visit. It's convenient right off the highway. I think it was the right call for us.

It is a very good community for the price. Some of the staff seem overwhelmed at times. There are times where the staff could be improved with their communication and response time to the families. My loved one is getting the care he needs though.

My dad has not moved in quite yet because we are waiting on his furniture, that is why it was a 4. They have been very nice and accommodating and are very thorough when answering any of my questions and great with communication. He got the vaccinations through them even though he has not moved in yet. I am up here frequently and they know me by name when I walk in. Everything is starting to come alive here and I saw they had entertainment there during lunch time. My dad is a very picky eater and he said that the food here is great, they do provide a menu to choose They have a banner outside that shows that 70% of their residents are fully vaccinated now.

I would recommend The Blake. My experience might be different than what most people go through. It was so quick. My loved one ended up needing a lot more care than we expected. At first we thought she would be fine in assisted living, and then she ended up going into memory care and deteriorated pretty quickly. I can't blame that on the Blake though, it was just the situation. I liked them very much. The staff have all been great. They're very friendly, and they seem to honestly care. The food is pretty good, and there seemed to be a good variety. If a resident didn't like some of the options they were serving, they had additional options the residents could choose from. They were offering plenty of activities, but my loved one just wouldn't participate. The hallways, the cafeteria, all the main areas were very clean. They did not pay as good of attention to my loved one's room as I would have liked. It would have been nice if they could have had some light daily cleaning. But it was clean there overall. They're just a little more expensive than other places, but it's so nice, it feels worth it to me.

We toured this community and it was a very nice facility. The tour was really good but they did not have the type of memory care that our loved ones needed so the community didn't fit our needs.

If it's for somebody who is not bedridden, it's fine. For someone who is bedridden, as was the case with my loved one, the staff is not available to be there enough. And it was hard to get in touch with the staff if you needed anything to be done. The only help she had available was one of the Life Alert buttons. It would contact Life Alert, who then got in touch with the staff. I didn't have a problem with the staff overall, but there was a little tiff between the hospice nurse and the caretakers there at Ashley Park. Each one did not think the other was doing everything they should have been doing. But it was clean there, everywhere I went. I would recommend this community to more able seniors.

I like it here, and I have recommended this community to others. I like my Apt. and it's quiet here. I am able to come and go as I choose. The director is very nice and I feel blessed to know her. Communication is very good and they return calls quickly.

The food was being delivered to the resident's rooms due to the pandemic. There has been a chance for the residents to participate in an invitation request to eat in the dining room. My loved one enjoys the activities. The staff is very friendly. The management is very good and helpful. The community looks nice. The residents are overall happy.

I feel like it's a good option for someone who shouldn't be alone and needs to be cared for, but doesn't need medical care yet. They're very on top of billing and bookkeeping, making everything clear and easy to understand, unlike our experience at a different community. The staff here is very responsive and supportive.

Overall the community is excellent. The staff is very very friendly. I don't really like just living there I feel like I'm with family. I would recommend this community to others. The community is neat and clean

The community is good. You will need to keep in mind that they need more nurses on staff.

We chose Washington Commons because it was pretty convenient and from what I saw we thought it would be a good fit for her. It has been a great place and we have had a good experience so far. She does complain about the food and it could use improvement, they serve a lot of sandwiches and I think they need meals that are more nutritious. Overall, I would recommend them to others looking.

Excellent property. Very new and fresh. The interior common spaces are excellent, but not overly large. The community is set in the Township which is beautiful setting beside the lake. Numerous amenities from spa to movie room and much more. They have a staff of two NP's and several RN's with 24/7 medical staff on premise. The NP's are practicing on site basic medicine for the residents so they do not have to leave campus for smaller medical concerns. They begin at the assisted living level and we are looking to begin at independent living level. Otherwise the Blake would be a contender for us.

If you are looking for independent living for your loved one, this would be a good place. The staff was great. My loved one's room was a nice size for the money. The food was very good and I was able to eat with my loved one on occasion. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you need memory care, or assisted living.
