The Blake by QSL Management

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff are friendly, attentive, and the community has excellent food. The amenities are great. The value for your money is wonderful.

My mom has been at the Blake since [date removed] moved in a month after it opened. I couldn’t ask for a better place for my momma. It is her home and she has met great friends and staff at the Blake. All of her needs are met and the nursing staff and maintenance staff are there when she needs them. I visit my mom almost everyday and everyone is friendly and they know who I am and my mom. My mom can’t complain about anything except maybe the food. It means so much that the chef and his helpers make my mom an omelet when she asks even when it is not breakfast. She has trouble swallowing sometimes and an omelette is easy to eat. This past year has been hard on everyone but it is getting better. My mom enjoys taking care of her plants and playing dominoes. Thank you to everyone who touches my moms life everyday!!??

We loved The Blake. It was a beautiful facility and they had a lot to offer. My mom has a dog and the apartment they had available was just going to be a little too far of a walk for her. But I would recommend them to others.

What we really liked about the place was how roomy it was, it is very clean and everyone has been very friendly. Our loved one feels the same way and is happy to be at a place like this. The community itself is very nice and just has a warm and welcoming feeling to it.

My mom absolutely loved it. Got to meet several residents who she thought were just great.

Whealdon Estates had the structure of being a hotel experience. You come in, and there’s a great room, which is very nice. But to get to your individual room, you go down a long hall, like you would in a hotel. The outside experience was missing for my loved one. Which was especially important to us during Covid. We didn't want her having to walk past other people in the hallway. She wouldn't have been able to garden here, which she really enjoys. The tour itself was good. The person that met with us and took us around was very friendly and helpful. The facility just wasn’t what she was looking for. She was looking for less of a hotel experience and more of a homey feel with outdoor space.

Every Tuesday they vacuum in my apartment and change the sheets and make the bed, clean the kitchen and bathrooms and replace toilet paper, towels, etc. They also have someone who comes to spray the apartments and the hallways for bugs frequently. The food is very good and they are chef prepared meals. They have a lot of activities provided here so there is always something to do such as a gardening club, pool table, library, exercises room, live music, etc. All of the staff members here are very friendly and helpful. Each floor has 2 washers and dryers for free to wash personal items. They also provide van rides Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, they take you to any appointments you may have and on Monday they take you to grocery stores and Fridays they take you to the bank. They provide residents with a fall alert button that you wear around your neck. I have a 1 bedroom apartment and I do have a patio as well. I have been really happy here and I would recommend to others looking.

we looked into this community and the staff was just really good. They have stayed in contact with us and they have not tried to pressure us at all. They have provided great information even though we did not move here

We toured Washing Commons and I think it is a great alternative to the facility that we chose. It was more affordable, very clean, and the people were all very friendly. It does not have quite the variety of care options than some others that we saw and it did not have the same homey feel, but I think it is a great place.

Our family was able to do an in person tour and the experience was good. They showed us around the facility and describe everything they had to offer and all their amenities. However, they had not been opened yet when we toured so we were not really able to see how everything was going to play out. Also, they did not have any openings for our loved one and we just could not wait.

My brother chose The Fountains because he interviewed some of the administrative staff and my mom is in the memory care unit. The care plus the value of the cost and the size of the facility were all of the main reasons that we picked it. Overall it has been a good experience and I would recommend to others looking.

We have no complaints when it comes to how clean the community is, and the staff members are friendly. For the most part we thought they had good food, and thought they offered a good amount of activities. The value is reasonable. The lady who runs the memory care unit is wonderful, always ready for whatever questions we have and very attentive.

This community was beautiful. It is a new facility and we really liked it. Unfortunately, it didn't meet the needs of our loved ones.

Everybody has been super, super nice and cooperative. The director knows my loved one by name, and they have hundreds of residents living there. Everyone has just been super helpful. Everything is kept really clean. They have a lot of activities posted. The food is the one downside. Every single day for a week, they gave potato chips as a side. From what I understand their chef quit, so they were kind of winging it. And they opted for a cold sandwich for dinner quite a bit. I think they're looking to replace the chef, it just hasn't happened yet.

We chose The Fairmont because of the location and I liked the idea that they were under a bigger company. The apartment sizes here are good for what she needs. They were really good with communication for a long time, they did switch the team of people in charge of that though, so now they are in a transition period and communication has dropped off a little bit. We are really happy with our choice and we think it is a good place our mom.

This is a community that is all for the residence. They make sure the residents are well taken care of. They are always checking on the residence to make sure their ok and to see if they need anything. The food is not very good. We would like to see a better variety and higher quality foods. I would recommend this community to others

They are very friendly, homey, caring, and everybody is close knit. The staff will immediately help in anyway we need. There is no one person that is in charge. If there is someone absent another staff member steps up to the plate.
