One reason I moved here is for the van. I don't drive, I need it for doctor appointments. The van has been broke for at least three weeks, they can't tell us when it will be fixed. This is the second time since I been here its been broke. Maybe they should stop telling people they have this service if they cant do better than this, have people move in needing it. Now they have us crammed into a minivan that very uncomfortble and very hard to get wheelchair in out.

I feel like they weren't truthful with me about bringing me to my doctors appointments, going to Wal Mart. There's to much to text. I wasn't happy there at all.

What they could improve on would be to have examples of what you are or will be billed for. Instead of being surprised with the bill and then having to question/challenge the items on it. It also seemed like the changes in management didn't make things better.
The property itself is nice with lots of common areas. Parking is terrible - cars are always in the fire lane because there aren't enough spots. There isn't much of an outside area for walking other than around the building or even a spot for gardening. My dad says the keep making the same food over and over and he's not usually picky. Like anywhere, some of the staff are amazing and others aren't quite as great. I would think this generally is a wash. The Director is nice but a poor communicator. She is frequently unresponsive to emails. We've had to reach out multiple times for responses. The facility is disorganized. They don't lay out all of their 'rules' ahead of time and in general, those rules are a moving target. It takes so much effort from family to sort things out. I don't feel like we should have to work so hard when they're paying $[removed]/month. We've talked about looking for someplace else but it's such a pain to do the research and move. If we were making the decision again, I'd look for better parking and outside space and hope for a better organized facility.

My wife moved into Sunrise of Webb Gin senior living on [date removed] by paying $[removed]plus $[removed]of initial fee. However, my wife fell during the breakfast in the cafe. A staff member called 911, she was sent to ER ICU. Because doctors found my wife had brain bleeding and elbow fracture, they did surgery on my wife's right elbow on [date removed]. I moved all my wife's belongings out from Sunrise on [date removed] before my wife's surgery. But so far, I have not gotten a refund yet. Then the accident happened, the manager denied his responsibility and said that we cannot put eyes on a single person. They were careless and resulted in my wife is suffering a lot .My wife lived in the memory loss unit, she told me that she fell because the floor was very slippery with water or drink spread by someone.

Things just don't get done around here. Repairs wait for weeks. Transportation is down for weeks, laundry didn't work. The food is miserable - they charge you for three meals a day, then serve slop you wouldn't willingly pay to eat. Don't come here.

I have a family member currently here, the staff does their best with the resources they are given. They pull double shifts etc. Luckily my family member is still able to communicate. There have been 3 issues with their medication running out on the weekend. Missing more than 4 doses of a much needed medication for their condition. I worry about the ones who cannot speak, there really needs to be a medicine audit for these people. The administration ([name removed])wants to blame the techs, but the techs are barely taught(high turnover rate), no certifications, yet they have so many residents with varying meds to keep track of. So please pay attention if you put your loved ones here, believe them when they talk.

When new management took over 2 weeks after my father moved in. Everything when downhill. Many people have moved out. Activities have decreased, the maintenance is lacking on the hallways. Food quantity and choice have decreased. Not too much good to say at this point.

My mom had no issues with the staff personally, who were always pleasant and friendly, but there was always the sense that they were severely understaffed and disorganized. Often inattentive or very slow to respond to maintenance needs. Food often barely edible. Activities almost nonexistent but mostly due to lack of participation as most of the residents were very limited mentally and physically. Most of the conversations with other residents revolved around complaints. One big learning experience is that we should not have put her in a facility that also housed memory care patients.

Since Heron Point took over ownership of Regency in VB, the residents are very unhappy. The pool has been closed for months. Quality of food has dimenished. People are being locked out of their rooms . Until the last minute residents were not advised about support they would receive during hurricane.

What Ashley Park could improve on would be sanitation, quality of the food and the cleaning services which hasn't been operating for a couple of weeks.

My father's experience at the Blake/LPGA was unfortunate. His stay was only a few days, so please keep that in mind. The facility is beautiful, the activities seemed to be engaging, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, on his arrival there was a lightning strike that disrupted many of the facilities systems. When he had an incident in his bed and was unable to move, the call button did not function. They also did not check on him for several hours. He was traumatized. Afterwards, the team was apologetic and conceded that they failed to check on him as was scheduled. Nevertheless, he insisted that we leave the Blake after just a few days. The deposit was non-refundable. An expensive, brief stay. To be fair, a lightning strike technical disruption is out of their control. However, the routine bed check was in their control and not done. If systems are down, other protocols must work. So, a kind and helpful team with a beautiful facility...but that experience was traumatic.

If you want to use a security camera to observe your loved one, while they allow camera use, they were always moving its position and forgetting to readjust. Just to help with expectations... This is not the facility for people who need extra attention! Only high functioning adults...

If your loved one does not have any special care needs, Blake may be ok, but visit often, participate in activities and do not hide in room. They sales team will always say they can handle special needs, but check with the actual team that will be providing care.

All the good staff quit. The facility is new and nice. But management is pathetic, so that flows downhill and employee satisfaction and retention remains difficult. I would not recommend Anthology of Charlottesville.

The facility was sold two weeks after we moved my dad in. Housekeeping was non existent. Dining options changed to self-serve food for seniors with their walkers. The hallways are filthy. Pool is dirty. We are told they have hired staff and things will change. He would have been better off staying in his home.
