Elmhaven Manor is a very nicely appointed senior facilty with many activities. The hair salon, evening meal option, home health care option and private bus for outside activities are all great. However, I feel the management is overly concerned about resident's behavior that is outside of their "norm." If there is any minor issue they feel is a "risk", they will write it up and record in the residents file and keep a running list of any issues they feel may become a problem in the future. I feel they are unreasonably risk adverse to avoid any potential lawsuits. They also become overly concerned when residents stay in their rooms and not being active enough. I feel each person is entitled to live their life they way they choose to and privately. There are also several procedures, including fire safety and others, where the residents are not trained sufficiently. This facilty is appropriate for seniors who are on the younger side of the senior age group and have no (or very minor) health issues.
