I am currently a resident at Westhaven Manor and overall, things have been very good for me here at this facility. I would possibly recommend this facility to others, depending on the needs and what the person is looking for.

The staff isn't quite as friendly...the person who gave me the tour didn't seem at ease with me. I can't help but compare it to [community name removed]. [community name removed] was offering a special: no activity fee, which would've been about [fee removed]. One thing about [community name removed] , they only require 30 days notice to move the 30 days can be given mid month. This was one of the reasons we were able to move my father-in-law after we realized we needed to save a bit more money. Elm Haven Manor had a move-in special which was first month free. However, you sign a one-year lease as opposed to a month to month lease. If you break the lease before the year is up, you owe a little bit more than a month rent in penalty. Not a dealbreaker for most people, but just a difference that mattered to our family and our circumstance.

I feel the parking lots are a disaster. Someone is going to fall and get hurt. The back doors going into the parking lots should both have electric door openers. Hard to get in with walkers.

its a nice community, I wish they offered more activities, its always the same. The meals are expensive

The location is great. The food is exceptional. The residents are on the younger side of other places so the activities, food, amenities are more active.

Staff are all friendly and helpful. Residents are somewhat cliquish. Facility is safe and secure. Food program is contracted out. It is mediocre with limited fruits and vegetables. The 25% price increase for this mediocre food program makes it even more disappointing for the elderly on a fixed income. Exercise activities available are not as advertised. Base rental rate is one of the best in the area, even after adding up all the customized ala-carte amenities. Nice to be able to select amenities that fit mom's individual needs.

This is a very nice place. This a newer community, clean, and is beautiful inside compared to other communities in the area that I saw. The staff communication with the family is good, and they are responsive to our questions. There are three meals a day served to the residents, and they have choices to choose from for meals. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

I toured this community and it was nice and new. Their apartments seemed smaller than some of the other places I toured. Also, the apartment they had available was too far from the elevator for my loved one. Other than that, it was good.

Our loved one has some dementia and we feel that they are safe here at Swanhaven Manor, they have a nice little apartment and it is a very clean community. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families. Our loved one does not participate in the activities so at times it does not matter, but for what we are paying we do with they would not completely shut down the activities when there is a covid outbreak.

The staff are so friendly and helpful, There are a lot of on site amenities. Currently they outsource the meals, we are hoping that changes in the future and they get a chef again.

The tour was great but it was just not what we were looking for for our loved one it was just too big. This was a really good tour just not the right fit.

This is a nice place for my loved one to stay. I believe they are fairly organized. My loved one likes it here. The staff are good to work with if we have any questions or concerns. The food is better than when my loved on arrived.

I'm very happy here. I like the location. They keep the grounds up well. They do maintenance in the apartments, change out the filters, etc. And if you have a problem, they take care of it. They're just starting to get back into activities after Covid. They're very conscious about Covid here. The only problem I've had is I do not have my rent automatically taken out of my bank account, and when I slipped a cashier's check under the door, they didn't see it and said I had not paid the rent. So I had to take care of that with my bank. And I also had a carport that I rented, which I found out later I could not use. And they were still adding it to my rent. But overall they were reasonable in handling resolutions.

It's a good place. They seem to offer a lot of activities. And they have a lot on-site for the residents. They have their own library, movie theater, and salon. And the apartments are nice.

I have only been here for a couple months, so still getting adjusted but the staff members I come into contact with are friendly and they do have a lot of activities from what I can see.

The facility was very nice and staff were accommodating, but it had multi-levels which was not going to workout for my loved one.

The staff are very friendly and our loved one doesn't always take advantage of the activities but they have a lot to offer, plenty of opportunities to get involved. It is a little bit over prices but all in all it is one of the cheapest and we would recommend the community to others.

Nice property and budget friendly. Best pricing among properties we visited. Staff very friendly.
