The people that work at this community are very friendly and seem to provide decent quality of care to all of the residents. I just am not impressed with the activities and the communication then have. I have only seen one time in my dads entire stay there that they where doing an activity and that was a kids basketball hoop in the middle of the living room floor. I had to move my dad out of there because he needed more interaction and things to do.

This was just a short stay. It didn't go very well for us. There was a fall, and it was never reported, until several days later, and we never got a copy of anything. She has never been the same. It was a very nice facility, but the follow through left something to be desired, and for my loved one the lack of attention seems to have had permanent implications.

I felt like the food was not as nice as it was where she was before. I didn't feel like it was very clean. I went to a common bathroom one time and I wouldn't even go to the bathroom. It was so dirty. My mom's room was dirty. I don't feel like they were cleaning it and I finally had to say something. I was hoping they would have a lot of activities for my mom, but even though I know they did some things it didn't seem like there was as much as I thought there would be for them to do. When she got sick and they didn't say anything to anyone that really really bothered me because 13 days later she died they told me everything I wanted to hear to get her there but once she was there, I just feel like the care was not up to par. When you walk in and see the facility, it's very nice. I just think that once they go into memory care it's not near as nice. Also the girl that signed us up she was like real big on telling us everything and I hate surprises but she neglected to tell me that we had to pay 30 days past my mom's staff so if someone dies, you have to pay the next 30 days which I wasn't real happy with considering the situation and I did post a horrible review and right away, someone called me and acted like they were going to take care of things and I wouldn't be charged that last month but I still was.

Number 1 gets a 2 because it has taken two or more weeks to fix an air conditioner problem and it still might not be fixed. Today is first day it is working. Might not work again tomorrow. Their maintenance department responsible for air conditioning seems to be quite inept. They couldn't even figure out where the thermostat for [name removed] room was located. [name removed] told me yesterday that one of the staff told her there were several rooms complaining about high room temperature. I know my brother's room was too hot for two or more weeks. Totally unacceptable.

Overall is was unsatisfactory for us. Usually clean but high turnover in housekeepers was an issue. All staff was friendly. We disliked almost all the food served for lunch. We did not eat breakfast due to serving hours being too early. Not many activities we enjoyed, especially "group" outings. We negotiated an early move out. In our opinion, it was not worth the cost.

Turn over is HIGH. Not enough staff in memory care. If you have an elderly parent that needs to be in memory care…look elsewhere. Housekeeping in memory care is horrible. Don’t think they clean the room except maybe the bathroom. Laundry clothing disappears because they wash more than one room at a time so clothes end up in other residents rooms. Just not a good place to live

We moved out after 3 months. They say they are dog friendly but many of the staff are deathly afraid of dogs and won't enter a resident's room if there is a dog in there. This includes housekeeping and some med techs. There is no leadership from the top. They are short staffed many times. A small percentage of the staff are great. The rest are terrible and disappear on their shifts or just sit in the break room playing with their phones. They need more space to do activities, more outdoor activities and more effort to make sure residents know about them. Posting a notice in the elevator is not sufficient. Many residents are nearly blind and others have the memory of a housefly. They need hand holding.

Everything about this place was inconsistent. This included medication management services, food quality and dining services, caregiver (resident assistant) services, housekeeping services, facility maintenance services, activities (especially on weekends), marketing hype, and management responsiveness to family member concerns and oversight of staff performance. A watchful eye is needed to advocate for resident family members.

My parents have been in IL for over two years and the food keeps getting worse. Also the maintenance staff has changed multiple times and takes shortcuts to keep HVAC units working because they all have aged out and need replaced at a cost that would impact management bonuses. It’s such an attractive facility but just not optimally managed. They are always short on staff but that’s the environment of senior care these days.

Not impressed. They are understaffed and when you bring a deficit to the director, [name removed], Who told us she is responsible for everything but has accountability for nothing and turns a blind eye to all discrepancies. Really sad my parent is in such a bad place. They are fantastic at raising prices and cutting staff and making a profit.

It was a great community when my loved one first moved in. Then they were then bought out and things changed. The fees went up drastically. It is a much bigger community than what my loved one needed as well. The community has an 8 pm curfew for the residents. I brought my loved one late and the staff was rude and lectured me about the time. She also locked me into the community. All visitors have to leave at 8 pm, no matter what. The food was served in Styrofoam containers to the residents.

We have had some concerns and have gone to management as we are not getting what we are paying for. They continue to tell us they are working We were told Memory care would get two options and they don't they are only given one option and is often fried foods with plastic utensils. They are left unsupervised when eating at all times. They only offer a small cup of water or small cup of punch each day. Feel like she is dehydrated most of the time. She has declined tremendously since being in there and she is medicated to the point where is almost keeping her asleep for about 23 hours a day or more.

Since being bought by Anthology things have gone from ok to so much worse. The outside paint has been chipping off. The sprinklers do no work in most parts while others water the parking lot 2-3 times a day. The ED and all staff have a serious problem at communication among themselves and absolutely none to the residents. It is a perfect case of right doesn't know what the left is doing. There are holes in the grass areas that they say they'll fill but haven't. They are all around the building. Could be so much better with the proper ED in place. There are clearly serious problems here. If it weren't for the Covid-19 virus we would move.
