I toured Village on the Park and it was a very nice facility and I liked the layout of it. The reason I did not go with this one was because they require sit down meals and that is not something that I wanted to do.

The first week my mother moved here they had plumbing issues. She had gas coming out of her kitchen lines for four days before they had a plumber come out and deem it unsafe. She has since been moved and the issue has been resolved. The staff is friendly for the most part.Their biggest area of opportunity is the kitchen staff. They could improve the daily meals by adding more options. One night my mother ordered fish and it was served raw three times before she gave up and ordered soup.

The facility seems very large. The memory care patients are located on one floor. The lady in charge of activities seemed to be dedicated to involving all of the residents in the daily activities.

Extremely understaffed. The facility is not a year old and apparently does not have enough residents to make a profit. Great care from people when you can get it, but staff are serving in multiple arenas. Ours is a patient with several higher levels of care needed. When he pushes his call button and does not get a prompt reply -- he could fall before someone comes to help. I believe that once they are at a profit level it will be a five star community.

The people that work at this community are very friendly and seem to provide decent quality of care to all of the residents. I just am not impressed with the activities and the communication then have. I have only seen one time in my dads entire stay there that they where doing an activity and that was a kids basketball hoop in the middle of the living room floor. I had to move my dad out of there because he needed more interaction and things to do.

This was just a short stay. It didn't go very well for us. There was a fall, and it was never reported, until several days later, and we never got a copy of anything. She has never been the same. It was a very nice facility, but the follow through left something to be desired, and for my loved one the lack of attention seems to have had permanent implications.

My aunt and her partner lived in one of the independent living cottages for several years. Last year my aunt fell and was taken to the hospital for a serious head injury. Despite the fact that the person on duty at the desk called the paramedics, no one bothered to call my aunt's emergency contact and sent her partner (who has moderate dementia) back to their cottage with no support. I am aware that they were living in independent living so the facility has no legal responsibility to provide care however, I was very upset that we didnt know my aunt was unconscious in a hospital for almost two days before we found out. This seemed like common decency to reach out to the family and give them this information. Needless to say, we have relocated to them to a different facility that is more focused on serving the needs of their residents. On the positive side, the cottage was a nice size and layout and several of the staff were nice.

I have been living at Spring Creek Village for almost a year and we are moving out at the end of January! The promises were wonderful when we were shopping, but the reality has been disappointing and worse. Service has been poor, meals are boring and there is little follow through on promises. They have over medicated my wife, lost some of her medicine and the red "emergency" button in the room did not work when we needed an ambulance. It is now reported that an employee was asked to repair the button in one resident's room and said that since there was a button in the bath and one in the bedroom, he did not need to repair the broken one. And, yes, the manager has heard about each of these and the problems remain. Beautiful facilities, some really nice staff and it looks fantastic, but I am truly excited about our move in a few weeks and have high hopes about improving our circumstances. AND, we are saving over $[fee removed] a month!

Our experience with Spring Creek Assisted Living was mixed. On the positive side, my mom had a safe, comfortable space, the food was good, and most daytime staff were kind and respectful to our family. However, there were serious concerns. Overnight staff repeatedly refused to assist our 24-hour hospice nurses with basic care such as turning my mom and helping keep her clean, which was troubling given her condition. The most distressing issue came after my mom passed away. While she was alive, we paid the full agreed-upon rate without issue. After her death, despite the fact that she was on 24-hour hospice care the entire time, we were required to pay a full 30 days of rent, including room and board and a full level-of-care fee. During our immediate period of grief, administration was unwilling to discuss this and instead threatened late fees, which felt deeply lacking in compassion. I would strongly encourage families to ask very detailed questions about financial commitments.

I felt like the food was not as nice as it was where she was before. I didn't feel like it was very clean. I went to a common bathroom one time and I wouldn't even go to the bathroom. It was so dirty. My mom's room was dirty. I don't feel like they were cleaning it and I finally had to say something. I was hoping they would have a lot of activities for my mom, but even though I know they did some things it didn't seem like there was as much as I thought there would be for them to do. When she got sick and they didn't say anything to anyone that really really bothered me because 13 days later she died they told me everything I wanted to hear to get her there but once she was there, I just feel like the care was not up to par. When you walk in and see the facility, it's very nice. I just think that once they go into memory care it's not near as nice. Also the girl that signed us up she was like real big on telling us everything and I hate surprises but she neglected to tell me that we had to pay 30 days past my mom's staff so if someone dies, you have to pay the next 30 days which I wasn't real happy with considering the situation and I did post a horrible review and right away, someone called me and acted like they were going to take care of things and I wouldn't be charged that last month but I still was.
