This community has nothing to offer for your loved ones . I visited the Summit for my in-laws and I highly disappointed the moment I got there. Parking is horrible, there was literally no parking so I had to use Trader Joe’s parking lot. I met with someone in marketing who was much more concerned about making a sale instead of the needs of my in-laws, didn’t seem to have any care or compassion. I didn’t see any activities while I was touring. Apartments can certainly use an update, the only good thing about the Summit is the location. Look elsewhere for your loved ones.

They should allow anyone with any type of disability to participate in all the activities they have to offer. Our experience we had, was that other residents were able to decide if someone with a disability could participate in that activity or not.

If your loved one is in memory care, this is not the place. If you don't have the right medicare insurance that takes their in house doctor, this is not the place. If you want follow up if your loved one falls or goes to ER, this is not the place. If you want to be a partner/team with the facility, this is not the place. If you expect the invoice to match what they automatically withdraw from your bank, this is not the place.

Worst facility! Be warned!! Terrible service!! Negligent people! Don’t care after don’t care!! Careless people that really could care less about your loved ones, they only care about the paycheck! they should have other jobs that don’t include caring for people!! Don’t believe the lies! And just like the other post that complained I’m sure they will reply to this one with a “call the executive director to complain” post (or maybe not since I pointed it out) which is the equivalent to seeking help from the same person that authorizes it all! As they say, from the head flows the same spirit to the workers in lower positions. It’s all a reflection from the top! RUNNNN and don’t look back!!!

I would give no stars. My mother lived here for just over a year. They have 2 aids and a nurse for the entire floor. I witnessed many incidents of residents being neglected, particularly after dinner until bedtime when there were few or no family members to see what went on. The 2 aids would be sitting away from the residents ignoring them even when the residents requested assistance. My mother had a UTI, was dizzy as a result and fell and was taken to the ER and was fine. Rather than watching her after she returned, they left her alone and less than 24 hours later, she fell again, this time, broken hip, surgery and over a month in rehab. They only bathe them 2 x per week resulting in frequent UTIs. The food is inedible and cold as they bring it up from the first floor and it sits. They have minimal activities so my mother would fall asleep during the day then they would give her sleep medication that she would not have needed but for them allowing her to sleep during the day. We had frequent conversations with the director [name removed] to address all the problems and she was rude and dismissive. The facility is new and beautiful looking but don’t let that fool you, the care is terrible and unsafe. For the prices they are charging you can get better care elsewhere. We have switched to one on one full time home care at an equivalent price.

If you want what your money to cover the services your loved one's care plan covers, then Arbor Terrace is NOT the place.

Lakeside suggested mother spend 3 weeks in another rehab facility to meet level of care requirements. Weekly reviews were upbeat and positive. Completed all paperwork, obtained a move in date and they cashed 5K deposit check. After numerous delays and avoidance by management, we were told she was not a fit for Lakeside standards on the 20th day of rehab. Waisted 3 weeks where we could have been looking for another facility. Extremely dissatisfied with the service/noncommittal effort to string along the ultimate refusal. Good news.. Only took an additional 2 weeks to get 5K back from Lakeside. Mother residing in another facility on the island we found in 1 day with willingness to help her, understanding of her needs lessoning restrictions or delays. Feel Lakeside is screening potential residents with little to no maintenance requirements for acceptance due to being a new senior care facility...

Unclean, most of 2nd shift is very unfriendly,hard to understand. Would not recommend at all. Staff is underpaid so quality & treatment is poor. They don’t do many activities, nothing to try to help improve mobility, sharpness of mind. It’s just a place you go to die.

My mother has been at Arbor Terrace for about 8 months. This was a brand new facility and unfortunately they are still ramping up and not fully staffed. Mom has been spending way too much time in her room without enough afternoon and early evening activities to attend. They are too short staffed to provide residents reminders about upcoming activities, or assist residents to get to activities. Since the facility is brand new, they need more time to get established, and get staff in programs in place to properly care for residents that need extra assistance.

Now the drink glasses are like shot glasses. It would be helpful if the facility would stop writing fake reveiws. Tryed to talk to the manager knocked on her door she didnt answer went outside she was sitting at her desk got up closed the curtain nasty nasty nasty. Food is below subpar. The Waite staff is great they put up with a lot of BS due to the poor management in the front office. They are uninterested in the people live here they are very interested on what they can get. The enterment consistes of watching each other grow older. Arbor is not interested in your concerns, due yourself a favor spend a little more go to a place where you are treated like a human. Shutting the curtain indeed!

Very High Priced for the area and there was NO Nurse after second shift. The memory care facility also smelled.

I selected The Preserve at Palm Aire based on the marketing dept's assurance that they could meet the needs of my parents after living independently. I found this not to be the case. My parents have been together more than 60 years. My mom has Alzheimer's, very mobile, not an elopement risk, but need help with bathing and grooming. My dad uses a walker, is very sharp but need help taking care of my mom. After several meetings with management, including an over 2 hour meeting with my parents and their staff (nursing, director, etc). We decided on accommodations and level of care. I shared every detail about my parents, tips to managing my mom's care, everything! They told me that their staff was highly trained and would able to manage their care. They moved in mid January 2017 and things went downhill from there. They asked me to allow the staff to get them acclimated to their new home. They were there a week when I visited. My mom had not been showered, her underwear was soiled, had not been changed for days and my dad was feeding her dinner. I could not believe it. My mom was supposed to be showered and dressed each day and they were to eat meals in the dining room. I complained constantly about their care and the staff began to step up. After about 3 weeks I was told that my parents could no longer reside there and would have to move in 45 days, but they were pushing us to move out sooner. They offered Memory Care, but my dad was not allowed to move in with her and it was twice the price. I thought I found the perfect place, but it was just an illusion. After all of that I'm back where I started. I moved them in with me at the end of February, but the furniture was there until early March. They charged for their care even though they weren't there and I haven't received the community fee back yet. A huge disappointment.

This place is horrible and needs to shut down immediately. The community from the time you walk up smells disgusting and the community is kept very filthy. There is not enough staff to take care of the residents and the staff that is there are very bad. My loved one was neglected on many occasions and the head [Removed] was of no assistance to us. She just kept saying well this might not be the place for your loved one then. Never any kind of resolution for them not doing what they needed for the residents. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

It is horrible at The Vantage at Cityview. The food and dining room is just a horrible experience. The service and food is terrible. They say they will do things here and they don't. They still don't have anything fixed that they said they would. I would like to move as soon as possible. Everybody I know of here is ready to leave. It has not been a goo experience.

A dear friend who has Parkinson's move in recently . They were promised a max wait of 5 mins when the button was pushed . It took 23 mins . They are severely understaffed , yet people are steadily moving in .more money. The doctor left specific orders concerning meds that we're not carried out. It was a difficult decision to move from their home , which has been even more difficult thanks to the harbors broken promises , if you are understaffed , stop moving people in ,!

Look else where - the staff are not attentive to your loved ones and management just wants your money.

I wouldn't trust these people with a pet mouse. They were very aggressive in recruiting my father out of a rehab facility despite knowing full well that his retirement income per month was roughly half what their "usual" monthly charges would be. They knew he had about $15,000 in savings and was waiting for his Veterans pension to be approved. They vacuumed his savings away over 6 weeks with all kinds of extra charges, put him in a room he could not come close to affording and when they knew his money was all but used up, they trumped up some allegations about him and threw him out. Since then they have been trying to collect around $1,000 more from me despite the fact that he had already paid for the "services" they are now billing for and that I am not in any way responsible for his debts. They also have a list of local social workers who funnel clients their way many of these social workers were previously employed there. It's a racket of the highest order.

Did not like facility at all. Smelled like urine and no one looked happy. Facility was uninviting.

After the experience we had here I would not recommend this community to anyone. Our loved one's apartment ended up getting a bad mouse infestation, and they did very little to clean things up, despite our constantly contacting them about it. Our loved one ended up getting sick from the conditions and even after an extended stay in the hospital when she returned no cleaning at all had been done, her soiled clothes were still in her hamper. Even now that we are moved out we're having trouble getting in touch with the billing department to settle things up.
