Our family had a virtual tour experience and it was good but it is just so hard to really get a good feel for the community and their atmosphere.

Things change each day. Know what you're doing. Keep calling and calling about loved one. You will be handling medical stuff on your own, the community won't help you. They won't take over the care of your loved one like they say they would. Keep a paper trail.

I like the people that are there Tom was wonderful helping us find a place for my loved one. This was great. I called to check on my loved one, and the nurse that answered let me know that my loved one was in the quarantine area. I called the Director of the Community, since I was never called about these changes. The director let me know that my loved one only had a scratchy throat, a small cough. The personal caregiver for my loved one called me and said my loved one was on an antibiotic due to an infection. The community never called to let me know of these changes either. I was able to visit my loved one, and at the time they didn't have their teeth in their mouth. The caregiver called me again, to let me know the community couldn't find my loved one's teeth almost 3 months later after my visit. The only person keeping me informed in the personal caregiver.

At the moment we would not recommend The Embark At Willowbrook Park community to others, at the moment there seems to be a lot of turnover rates within the administration.

The food isn't that good. It's not a bad place to live. They give us three meals a day and we are able to go to the dining room again. The room is a nice one bedroom apartment. There is a kitchenette in the apartment. Housekeeping comes in once a week and cleans, this is included in the price.

There have been COVID cases. Every time I call my loved one, they have been in their room. I've asked if they can walk the hall, and they let me know they have to stay in their room. At first I was very pleased and happy with Community Oaks. I got a copy of an evaluation of my loved one. Once I got this, I wasn't pleased with the community. This community is supposed to be one of the better ones in the area. When my family sees my loved one they seem very happy. We have recently learned that we can start to see my loved one outside. There will be someone from the community during the visit, we can't touch or hug my loved one. The community has three separate areas. One is memory care, the second is assisted living, and third is senior living.

If you are moderately healthy, it is great. It is clean, safe, and they have friendly caregivers. But if you need a lot care you will not get it. The food used to be good when there was a chef, but now they are cutting corners and its worst than a grade school cafeteria. They are also cutting the number of caregivers and the staff are worked to death. They fired the activities director,and now they don't have any activities, There is almost no transportation and it is very difficult to get.

for some reason, Mom didn't like it - I thought it a lovely place with sunny rooms.

My mother has recently made the move into this community and so far things are going okay. She is adjusting well and things are going as we expected them to go. To my knowledge the staff where easy to work with and helpful with the transition into her new living environment. My mom has mentioned they need some improvements on the meals that the chef prepares throughout the week. I also would appreciate if they would stop loosing my mothers laundry after washing it for her. It is becoming a problem and is upsetting.

I had a pretty nice tour of this community. The experience was a pleasant one.

My mother in law is doing pretty well at the Brookdale Willowbrook. I would recommend this specific location because it is clean and everyone seems to be very friendly. My children have stayed there and had meals and they said the food was good. Move in went well, but I felt that they were a little pushy ion the date.

Commodes should be tall. The kitchen cupboards are warped. The upper kitchen cupboards are way too high and not usable without a very high step stool which is dangerous and my mother should not be using. No sink stopper. She rates the food as fair so far. At our initial visit, we were told about the van and running errands. We were led to believe that this was a service provided by the estates. At no time were we informed that it was an additional expense to have the van take a resident on an errand. My mother states that the beauty shop is not clean.

I think they have been fair. One of the challenges, is that a lot of these places do a great sales pitch, but they don't always follow through with everything. I have heard a lot of people complain about the response time to a call bell, I know one gentleman said he waited fifteen minutes before he went looking for someone. They said they would try to encourage participation, and assign someone to help show them around, that has not happened. I was not happy with the activities director, he seems more appropriate for young children. My advice would be, when the salesperson tells you they can do something, check with the administrator, and the activities director to make sure they really can do whatever it is.

So far it seems fine. The only issue is that sometimes in the hall it smells like urine. They need to do a better job at cleaning it. Overall, It has been an okay experience.

Things have gone fairly well with Lewisville Estates. It is a nice looking place, and the staff are friendly and very responsive. However, I feel like they could stand to have a few more people on hand, they seem a bit understaffed to me.

My loved one has fallen – and they chose to send my loved one by ambulance twice – and I don’t think that was necessary – I think there should be judgment. I’ve been there when my loved one was eating and the food looks okay. The public relation person when we first went there was awesome, but there has been turn over in administration and nursing staff.

This was a very nice looking community, and we were looking forward to our loved one spending time here, but unfortunately that was not how the situation worked out. We were very upfront with them about the high degree of care our loved one required, and they said it would not be a problem and after their assessment said he would be fine for the community. And then after only a short time they told us he was not appropriate for the community and that he needed to be moved elsewhere. It was a nice looking place, and the residents all seemed happy, but it was stressful, and waste of both time and money, to have to move him so many times in short succession. My biggest advice to other families would be to be very sure your loved one is at the appropriate care level, and not take a communities word for it.

Solterra Senior Living has very friendly staff & an excellent Director. Their food is excellent & the dining room is very pleasant & always well decorated. My only complaint is that there is only 1 R.N. on staff during the day & no LPN's. They use Med Techs to care for their assisted living & memory care residents. We had to move my diabetic mother out of their facility so that she could receive higher quality care for her diabetes.

Lewisville Estates assisted living building could use a little more direction. It seems that my mom started living here at a time they had a major movement with management. This might have been a little to abrupt. One day I am talking to the director and the next day she is gone and someone new is in. I am not sure at this point my opinion of the new director because my mother was supposed to have a medical supply ordered and it has been weeks. We have checked several times with the new director and she keeps saying she will check on it. With no surprise this never happens. When we originally signed we were told they would waive a transf fee if my mom moves to the independent living side and she is to get a parking spot assigned. I have paid two months rent so far and have not heard on either issues. The place is clean and the activities director is very peppy. The do seem to really encourage the residents to get out of the apt and be active. So on an activities level I believe they are pretty good. As far as care, I am not sure how to rate them because they put my mom on a level 2 care (meds and stand by assist showers) and all she has been getting is meds, so appears I am paying for more than she is using. The staff is very friendly and do treat her well. Over all, I find it bearable. Is there anything better out there? I am not sure.

Mom has been living at Solterra since 2/7/12. Lately, their rates have skyrocketed and the facility needs updating, upgrading and renovation.
