I know there are worse places to live. I know there are better ones, and that is why we moved our loved one and wouldn't encourage you to move yours there. My loved one lived there over a year, and I always had control over his medication. Meaning I would take his prescription and pills in/out every time doctor would change anything. If doctor would DC any med, I would pick up the pills. I noticed since around February, the number of pills and days don't match at all. He hasn't been getting the pills. PERIOD. And we have been paying the big bucks once he's been mixing the pills when living by himself. I don't know what happened they changed the whole management again, after going through a whole transition and replaced the nicest and most skilled girl all the families loved and appreciated for one that is power hungry to supervise all the CNAs. We all make bad choices, don't make this one!

Overall did not meet the expectations set by the administration. Did not take good care of my dad. Had to go in person to find out why they would not assist him back to bed for hours after he asked, why they would not allow him to have snacks if he didn't eat all of food at meals. Eventually he started refusing to get out of bed because no one would help him when he wanted to go back and he ended up getting a pressure sore from laying in bed so much. It was a bad fit and he is doing much better where he is now.

Since my father has been at Sodalis there has been a huge amount of staff turnover. I think the constantly changing faces has made it difficult for him to feel at home. There do not seem to be any activities or social events for residents and there seem to be many inconsistencies with things such as meal time and room cleaning. We are hopeful things will improve with a new executive director.

I'm settled at Ellison Park, it was a bumpy ride at first. They seem to have personnel problems, when you need something fixed it can take a while and a few times reporting it at the front office. After two months I finally got everything fixed. The property is a little run down and some things need to be updated or repaired. Most of the people who work here are nice. I believe it's a management problem. Whomever you send over need to be truly independent and active. I love my apartment. It is exactly what I needed.

It's a lovely facility but it is very understaffed. The staff that is there is wonderful, but overwhelmed. There has been turn over in the management which has lead to a general confusion amongst the staff about what benefits residents have enrolled in. There is no communication from the facility to the families about any events. In fact, no emails at all from the facility about billing, coordinating care, or anything at all. Until they are better staffed, I would not recommend this facility to other families.

High turnover in staff, lack of communication as a result. Activities Director is a superstar. Without her, my ratings would be lower.

Meals are okay but service is lacking. Very unorganized, wait time for food after placing an order is usually 40 minutes. Most days it will be 15 to 20 minutes before they even take your order. Not truly Independent Living. Many of the residents need assistance, have their own caregivers or family to assist. Lots of staff turnover.

There was a huge turnover of personnel. They wanted a $1700 per month increase for no increase in services. I would not recommend this place.

The caregivers there are incredible yet understaffed. Often forced to work double shifts and it's tough to keep the good ones. Comfortable downstairs where the expensive units are but upstairs in the low rent district, it's.hot as heck in the hallways and within the seniors apartments. We all know how hot it gets in Houston. When touring, be sure to go upstairs. Again, the caregivers are phenomenal!!

Our family had an in person tour and it was a nice tour but from what we saw we just new this was not going to be the best place for our loved one

This is our first experience with assisted living, so we don't have much to compare it to. We have had ups and downs during the adjustment period. The food is not very good at all in my opinion and my loved ones. The staff is super friendly, everyone is so sweet, but the wait time when you need things is long at times. Sometimes it starts to improve and then it goes back to being longer wait times.

The value ws higher. The quality of foood, was less than what I saw at other places. The location was further away, and they did not have washers/dryers in the units.

If management did not change so often it would be better.

The care services change frequently, staff turnover rate is frequently, activities are good, and the residents are friendly. The meals vary from tasteful to tasteless. Overall, the price is reasonable compared to other facilities. Elevator stays out so look for an apartment downstairs if needed. The courtyards are nice but they need each corridor painted different colors to help new residents find their way around. Community room where most gatherings are held, needs better ventilation to prevent COVID outbreaks.

The apartment itself was really perfect. But I think as a result of Covid, and also they had a freeze where a lot of their pipes froze, and also they had a change in ownership - there were some challenges, and the, amenities weren’t as good. My family member never liked the food and wouldn’t eat it. The on-site beauty shop she had been using was closed when the ceiling crashed down on it during the freeze. It was also a long walk to the dog park area that they required you to take your dog to do its business, and the area wasn’t maintained. People didn't pick up after their dogs, and the garbage cans were always full. Also, if your room wasn't on the inside of the courtyard, the view just overlooked the parking lot, which wasn’t great.

I am very disappointed with the care that my mother is getting from this facility. The staff are very friendly, courteous and sweet. I put her there to be taken care of. From day one we have had issues & then they sold the facility to a new owner. That was another adjustment that had to be made. I am considering taking my mother out of here & keeping her at home within the next few months. I recently checked her bottom when I visited her; it was red & she was starting to get bed sores. I put a list of 10 checkpoints in her room for the attendants to check & I haven't seen them check any of them. They're supposed to take her down for every meal to the dining area & I've noticed only about 50% of the time they do that. Assisted Living means just that assisting a person & we are paying extra money for her to have some special care. I would highly recommend asking lots of questions & going at different times of the day evening night & weekends especially.

The facility is okay just did not get that right feeling that we were looking for for my loved one.

This community is not as high class as my loved one was looking for. We toured and I was somewhat unimpressed. It was clean but it was more institutional looking. There were crosses everywhere and not everyone is for crosses and it was somewhat offensive. Seemed to be more budget friendly.

Little pricey. [fee removed] plus additional fees for level of care. room is not furnished. They seemed to miss a scheduled call as well.

Good Visit just did not get a warm home feeling with employees and did not like the ration of resident to attendant.
