So far so good with our experience for our loved one being here. The food has recently been going downhill according to my loved one. The staff have been responsive to our questions. There has been a turnover of staff recently, and we aren't working with the same people when we first moved in.

The staff are caring, but they're understaffed. Residents don't always get the supervision they need.

So far it's been good for my loved one. He's enjoying himself very much. They do a lot of activities outside of the facility. The apartment is very nice. It's not too small, but not to big. It gives him enough room to feel at home, but is not so large that cleaning is a hassle.

Overall have been very happy with The Crossing at Oak Hill. When we first went in, they did an ownership transfer. We feel this could have been communicated slightly better upon us entering this facility. But overall they worked us through the process. The meals are fantastic and the facility is very clean and caring.

They have done the best that they can do with the circumstances, they have had some significant staffing issues and lots of people coming and going. The staff who have been here have done a really good job but there has definitely been some confusion. My mother loves the food and says it is really good. I would overall recommend the facility to others looking.

When I got here for my tour I thought the person I spoke to was very friendly and honest and the facility itself looked super clean and everyone looked happy. My loved one has a private room in memory care and it is very large and spacious. They have shared rooms available as well and they are a great size too. It is in a good location and there are a lot of good places you can take your loved one out too that are close by. We would recommend Greenhaven Estates and already have.

No place is perfect. Keep in mind that there is a learning curve for your loved one to learn the staff and for the staff to learn your loved one. It took my parents a little longer to get used to things and the staff longer to learn my parents due to their hearing impairment. But everyone is doing well now. For the most part I'm very happy. We love the facility. We love the dining area - they make it very fancy. We also love the private dining area that families can reserve. They have lot of activities. It's a definite plus that hey have a hearing impaired person on staff. And we like the accommodations that they have for hearing impairment. Our caregiver was able to come in and help train the staff to my parents' preferences and needs. I like that they have a private bathroom. They also allow us to have a camera in their apartment, which is nice. It's bright. There's lots of things going on. There is is staff there 24/7. And my mom feels free enough to leave my dad for a moment to go do activities in the building. Some areas for improvement would be internal and external communication, as well as consistency in answering call buttons. We've also had some Wi-Fi connectivity issues - it's very hit or miss.

It is nice, I like it. Overall it's a safe environment. They have staff there 24/7. They always call my Mom by her first name. its personable. It doesn't take them very long to get something done. If its prescriptions, appointments, etc. They are quick overall for everything. They have provide a variety of food to choose from during meal times. Housekeeping comes 3 times a week. The laundry is done once a week. They offer transportation to doctors appointments or shopping. The staff call with any questions or concerns regarding my Mothers care. They have a nurse practitioner or doctor that comes every Wednesday. This is what I really like. The doctor makes sure to see the residents and talk to them every time they come. If I have any questions regarding her medications, they can be addressed during this time.

We chose Elison Independent Living because when we went and toured we were very impressed so we did not have to look anywhere else. The apartment size is good, it is perfect for one person. My dad said the food is overcooked and there is not a lot of variety on the menu, it is not what was advertised to us. Overall I would definitely recommend to others looking.

We had a good tour at what was The Reserve at Pasadena at the time. It was just a larger community than we felt our mom would be comfortable in.

This community wasn't as new as I would have hoped.

The people were nice at this community but it was was expensive and did not have the parking we were looking for. This community was older and closer to downtown. Nice to think about walking down town but it was just did not fit.

The reason I picked this place is because it had options. It wasn't like assisted living where you're paying for things you don't need. With housekeeping and meals and the apartment, I guess it's a pretty good value. It's just been a difficult transition after living in a home that we had paid off years ago. But we've had a lot of help here. The staff will go out of their way to help you. If I've had any complaints about the apartment, they've taken care of it right away. They've been really good. The cook they had for many, many years retired, and it took them a while to find a new chef. Now that they have a new chef, the food quality is getting better again. They also have a new activities director, and she's trying her best. I understand that things were a whole lot different before Covid, and they're trying to get back to the way things used to be. But they do offer a lot of activities.

The community is more independent living the assisted living and if you need additional help you may need to use private pay. The community is kept neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

I had a good tour with Solterra and really liked this facility. The reason we decided against them was just because I was not able to get a feel for the staff. You want to feel good about the people who will be taking care of your loved ones but I was not introduced to them.

The community has staffing issues with the business office. There were some billing issues that we are trying to get fixed. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend the community based on my experience.

It was nice meeting Jordan and he showed me around the establishment and explained everything in complete detail. One question he asked me that I have to consider; "is my friend going to be o.k. with an older population?" I am unsure.

My loved one has settled in and is starting to enjoy herself. She's very active, and we're very happy with that. That's exactly what we wanted that for her, to be around people her age and to be active. When she first moved in, things were kind of rough, and I felt they could have been a little more helpful during that transition. Not that they weren't helpful. But I would definitely recommend them to others. My loved one is really enjoying living there. Keep in mind it's independent living, so they have activities and bus rides, but everything else, including any medical concerns, I still take care of for my loved one. The one downside is she hates the food. She doesn't care for the way it tastes or the way it's prepared. So we end up buying groceries for her regularly. Any other concerns we've had, they've followed up with me and looked into things accordingly. It just took a little firmness and persistence on my end.

The community is very clean and neat and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very good and my loved one really likes it. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Layout is very nice. Tour director was very informative. There seemed to be something “off” and I think they were understaffed.
