Living at Lewisville Estates allows me to live a much laid back lifestyle. I enjoy all my friends and the staff is always helpful from the front office, food services, and maintenance. I have finally found a place that always has activities, hot meals, and is affordable. The Activities Director goes about and beyond to keep us healthy and active. I enjoy all the activities; we have off site trips and the staff love to dance with us during events. My family is able to rest knowing I am in good hands and living an active lifestyle. It was a major decision for me, coming from my own home of many years, to a smaller space and community setting. I have not once regretted the move.

I am the relative of a resident in the memory care unit at The Reserve of Pasadena. I feel like it is managed very well. The staff is friendly and the place is always clean. As with any nursing home facility, the turnover rate at times is high. This puts a large burden on the other staff members to work double shifts. They do a very good job with keeping the residents clean though I feel like they fall down on the job with oral hygiene. If feeding is.necessary, that is also taken care of. Most of the staff is caring and compassionate, but I feel like more attention could be paid to the individual resident during down times. My family member is very happy at The Reserve and I think it’s a great place for her to spend her last days.

I suggest you get all your on boarding paperwork at least two weeks ahead of time. It also took over a week for us to get the TV to work due to the wait for the cable company to come out. The staff has been very kind and my mom is adjusting well. She has fallen a few times and the staff has been very helpful helping her up and checking her out.

I would only recommend if they can cook otherwise no. Nice place but no meal provided like the prior owners.

Yes, we would recommend the community to other families. The facility is great for the money but the administrative or business side of it is or was terrible. Maybe they have improved but my experience was not good.

The staff are very friendly and responsive. They genuinely care about your loved one and do their best to accommodate them in whatever ways they can. They are professional, kind, and patient. The facility is clean and offers many activities. They go out of their way to try to get the residents involved and social. Just like any other facility of their kind, they are understaffed and can only do the best they can with what they have.

Everything is 4 or 5. Legacy inherited a difficult situation from Sodalis. They continue to make improvements in all areas. I mother fell and broke her arm in Feb and we went from minimal care needed to everything needed. They stepped up Immediately, and took care of her needs. She is all better now. My aunt and uncle moved there 2 months ago. I went to HS w/ my mom's neighbor's kids.

They seem to be short staffed but not their fault. The most important thing that people should know is that the area is under heavy construction and it's not easy getting in and out of there. The community itself is nice but the location and construction issues are problematic.

Join the activities regularly and watch your surroundings when leaving the facilities. The area isn't the best crime wise, but seems safe enough if your watchful. You can always ask the security to escort you to your car as well.

The Reserve has recently changed management/ ownership. The previous management was more approachable than the new one.

She had no choice of having to go into assisted-living so she did need quite a bit of care. She never wanted to go into a place so she was very depressed and had a bad attitude about it however, from what I witnessed while she was there I gave good reviews. She would call me at times and complain about having to wait too long for help, but I do know those places are pretty demanding & short on staff. She also complained that they could be mean at times, but I just think she was taking out a lot of anger on them. For quality of care, it's hard to find good people - not sure if any of the other places are any better. I've gotten feedback from other residents too. For activities, I've seen some activities & they didn't look too exciting - but my mom never participated. I toured a lot of places, but the reason we chose this one too was my mom was a smoker and she could smoke in the outdoor spaces. Most places do not allow it.

1. 4 - Unfortunately, when my mom was being admitted another management company was on its way out and nothing was said when we were admitted. Only found out the next week that a transition was about to happen. With transitions are also staff turnovers. This is hard on individuals with dementia. 2. 4 - Cleanliness. I have had to ask that my mom's room be cleaned a couple of times. Once because some cleaner was used on the bathroom floor that made the floor very slippery. The second time was when moving a fall mat next to her bed, the floor under the mat was soaked in urine. 3. Friendliness - 4/5 the staff has been very friendly towards my mom. It would be helpful if they would always wear a name tag that is visible to residents and family. 4. 3/4 Training would be beneficial for the staff to correctly respond and talk with dementia patients to encourage participation in activities and to encourage self care whenever possible. Easy to get busy and just "do" for the individual rather than give simple verbal cues to get resident to do for themselves. They have been very caring though. 5. Meals - 5 Haven't seen many meals, but what I have witnessed they have been sufficient and with variety. 6. Activities -5 The activity director has been very good at providing a variety or activities to engage the residents. Very well rounded, devotional, reading stories, karaoke, group games, art - not just all color pages, spa nail treatments to name a few that I have witnessed. 7. Value for cost - 5 Compared to other places, the memory care side was all inclusive at the time when we signed up. I believe care costs have been added since, but my mother came in when it was included in her monthly rent. Other places have LVN's around the clock, but not so at Legacy. You get what you pay for. As a side note, because it is a new management company, most of the administrative staff are interim. Most of the individuals I have dealt with from the administration have been extremely helpful and supportive. Staff is kind. When questioned specifically, they are communicative. I have been told that they used text or speak directly to family, but the aides have been asked to allow one of the daytime nurses to interact with the family instead. This particular nurse hasn't been responsive with me so much. I go around her because of that and communicate with the Interim Nursing Director. She is kind and communicative.

Stopped by to look at Assisted Living. While it is a little doled, its very clean. The residents were all warm. Staff was helpful. Everyone seemed happy and cared for.

The staff has gone out of there way to help me come to Elison Park. The staff has a good understanding of what a Sr. goes through in downsizing from a home. I like the community that offers a open feeling and caring. The staff all knows your name and is happy to see you. There activities include Happy Birthday parties with cake with sing along of Happy Birthday wishes. There is also Live entertainment throughout the week. There are movies that the residents may watch after dinner in the Community Room and ice cream socials that a Resident may participate in and many more activities. On Sunday there is a Non Denomational Church service. There is a billards room that I find challenging and TV set to watch favorite shows and to socialize while playing a friendly game of Pool.There is an on-site store that has many items in stock including Bluebell Ice-cream. So if you have forgotten something at your local grocery store, Our Store, just might have it in stock. Wish they had assiste

The small size makes it more personalized and "home-like" ; the way the staff smiles, speaks, and takes a few minutes for residents. A new director has just been hired and positive changes are being made: Family night every 3rd week of the month; making an on-site psychiatrist available; the hiring of a Dir of Nursing. I think we are headed toward all 5's with the new adm.

The Activities Director [name removed] is "above and beyond" All of the staff are kind and helpful in our experience. The facility is very updated and nice. They offer plenty of fun and enriching activities for the residents! Our family member is in a double room in memory care (hasn't always had a roommate, but does now) and its quite large.

Mom absolutely loves her new apartment and really likes living at Elison Park. She has made lots of new friends in the short time that she’s lived there. Her favorite facility is the on-site convenience store, which she frequently uses. The only real complaint she has concerns the dining room. She says that sometimes it takes 30 minutes or more for someone to take her order, then another 30 minutes to receive her meal. The quality of the food seems to be just fine, it’s just that the length of time it takes to be served is a bit long. The few times I’ve called the front office for service, they’ve responded quickly and efficiently. The common areas are always clean and well maintained. The office trio consisting of [name removed] are just super. All of the Elison Park personnel are quite friendly and helpful. Elison Park provides all the amenities that mom needs and is very affordable... a great value. It was a perfect fit for us.

The Reserve was a good place, but just not the right type of facility for my mother and her level of cognitive function. She wasn't happy there because most of the residents were in a further state of memory decline than my mother so she had a difficult time making friends. I would consider the reserve again if we ever reach a point where we need more memory care. I think highly of this facility. Management and staff were wonderful.

I would say was good. We had a refund coming in and I'm sorry I had to wait five months to receive it.

The Reserve at Pasadena is a lovely facility. The move-in process went very smoothly. The people are incredibly friendly. My frustrations have stemmed from medication reordering and the length of time it sometimes takes for my grandmother to get her pain medicine. The med room is where communication is not always the best. She says that the food portion sizes are too small and that the food is only fair. Housekeeping and maintenance are great. Overall, I would recommend The Reserve at Pasadena.
