I think they did a good job but my husband had a personality conflict with the caregiver. I would recommend them.

They have been okay, so far. We haven't had any major complaints, or problems. No issues with people not showing up, or showing up late,. So far so good.

Met with owner Saili. Very professional and direct. Seemed a good option but we felt Home Care Assistance a better option for us.

Owner came out. .it was for in home service...but just not sure about service. ...price was real high too. But did like the fact all owners were CNAs.

We have had a mixed experience with Synergy Homecare. We have had a regular, reliable caregiver that comes on the weekends that we are very pleased with, however when we schedule care during the week it has always been a different person and some of them have been less than professional.

There have been some challenges. It has been difficult to find the caregiver who is the right fit. We made up a plan for what the caregiver is supposed to do, and they are having trouble implementing those things. We talked about some dementia care, and doing puzzles and things with my loved one, but they don't have any of those resources available to them. I thought that they would. We have had trouble getting the schedule worked out, however the director did come out and stay with our loved one himself when the caregiver couldn't be there. I have a good rapport with the manager. Some of the caregivers that have come through, I would consider to be unprofessional, in appearance, and attitude. There are also so expenses, I didn't expect to budget for, like extra groceries for the caregiver, when they are there. I will say that they have always responded to my call when I have had to, even after hours.

They were good… they were late a couple of days. The whole point was that my mom didn’t fall, but she did. They did stay with her in the hospital. They don’t have a great manager/director/owner. The actual care takers… I don’t know... they’re fine, I guess.

This company had a great start with contact, and then petered out in terms of sending me candidates to consider.

I only used Synergy for the week my father was in the hospital for a pacemaker and 1st week after he returned home until I could get there to help my parents Synergy kept sending different people while they were in my parents home and my mom felt she had to keep teaching the new person each day. The girls did not have any formal training and many would just sit all day and my parents had to keep telling them what needed to be done next. We were told that we would have just one person who would be a "perfect fit" for my parents needs. This did not happen as Synergy did not have enough staff for the time slots of 12-2 Lunch & 5-7 Dinner so that is why they kept getting different staff each time. My mom finally just got fed up with having to "Train" a new person every day. and refused to use Synergy. The girls were all young, inexperienced and did not understand the needs of my parents. Our expectations were not met at all. My mother now refuses to let anyone other than her housekeeper take care of her.

The caregivers were good with the patient and safe and caring. They did not have as much experience with Hospice patients as I expected. But that did not prove to be an issue with physical caregiving. The book-keeping appears slow for getting statements, and they were slow to respond to phone calls at that time. In their defense, I believe it was an exceptionally busy time for all caregiving companies here.

Not a good recommendation! For me. They could not perform the duties they said they could.

I feel like the owner is very unprofessional. There were two separate occasions where two of the caregivers canceled at last minute and there was no backup. I called the cellphone of the owner and I couldn’t get ahold of her and she wouldn’t call me back. When I was finally able to get ahold of her she was extremely defensive and said she tried to call all of the caregivers to find someone to come over. I was upset by her reaction because she said she did her due diligence. One of the caregivers the sent us before was about the same age as my Mother and she felt uncomfortable because she couldn’t do certain things we needed her to do. When I spoke with the owner about this, she got angry at me. One of the other caregivers was supposed to be able to take my mom places and she didn’t have enough gas and my Mother had to pay for it. However, two of the caregivers I did have were really nice ladies and they cared about my mom a lot. This agency is unprofessional and I cannot recommend them.

I would rate this agency as a 4 the prices are extremely high, they wasn't sure if they could meet my mom's needs and Joel was unprofessional nor did he show interest in my case when I refused to increase my hours.

Synergy was a let down. Maybe all care taking services are that way. But I will keep searching. Synergy is off our list. Miscommunication with receptionist/caretaker/client, one fell asleep on couch, several mom 'fired' and they just walked out leaving them alone: dangerous. Parents both seem with it and can talk a good game.

They were having staff shortages and having to get temporary replacements on a regular basis and the quality left a lot to be desired.

It was a piece of crap care, they were to change my mothers bandaids on her foot, two days. When I came back her bandages were soaked with blood and other. She was complaining her foot was hurting her and when I removed the soaked bandages hundreds of maggots crawled all over everywhere. There were holes in her foot that had never been there. Move forward a week or so and her leg had to be amputated above her knee. She had bruises where they had dropped her etc. I would not recommend this company to my worse enemy. They lied about everything , I will never forgive them for the way they treated my mother! Now I have to live with the guilt of having someone else come in so I could get a little break. They never changed the bandages because the girl said she had a weak stomach and wasn't going to do it.

They put on a good show for us to sign the documents, but after that, no communication. Helpers would just not show up, promises of invoices would never show up. Promises from the owner that she would take my father to his doctor appointments, never heard from her again when appointment time came. No show from the aide prior to the hurricane even though she was supposed to come. No phone calls to say she wasn't coming. Helpers who were unprofessional. Then without warning they passed my father off to another company without contacting us. Zero communication. Not once in 4 months did we receive any information about how our father was doing health wise and cognitively. Never once did the owner express concern at the distance their aides were driving, yet magically this was the reason they dropped us with no warning. Just a random phone call from another company telling us they are now handling my father's care.

We used this service for about 25 days and then we cancelled the service. The caregivers that were sent out to take care of my dad lacked attentiveness. One of the caregivers came out and while eating dinner was on the phone for about an hour. Other caregivers either showed up at the wrong time or if they were there they did not pay any attention to him. They were supposed to help with his medication but my mom and I ended up taking care of it.

For profit...Promises made w no follow up. One RN lied in pt medical notes w grounds for litigation. High turnover rate. They burn out staff and seem indifferent to their needs. Had 3 nurses and now waiting for another. Traveling distances is a hardship. Aides unreliable and unprofessional. Paint a v pretty picture but don't be fooled. Never would send my dog there.
