Food overall is low in protein, heavy in starch. Dinner is served half an hour too late. Seasoning is absent from all food. Our physician urges us to increase our sodium, based on blood tests.

This was our first experience with an assisted living community and when I visited I was impressed with the staff doing the activities. But I quickly learned that although the level of activities were what i would want for myself it was not necessarily what my husband needed most. The level of attention regarding care was just not there. The caregivers acted as if it was just a job to them, and the nurses were often standing behind the nurse's station chatting with each other or on their cell phones. I will say the food was excellent. The chef did an outstanding job .

Employees are friendly polite always helpful. [Name removed] is artistic creating decorating dining room each month ,depending on what event or holiday is near by. Trips on the bus she enjoys along with everyone else.

Was not impressed with this facility! Residents didn’t seem to be involved in anything!

[Name removed] didn't care for this place. It looked past its prime. The guests have to go outside in inclement weather to go to the main building. Although the price is good, the facility was not up to her standards.

This facility is nice but doesn't feel like the best fit for my parents.

Beautiful but expensive. Not sure my dad would be able to afford this wonderful place.

This facility is strictly assistant living. We don't need this service at this time.

There where some minor glitches, to begin with [name removed] did call me (the very day [name removed], my personal advisor, set up the appointment), wanting to reschedule, as she thought the appointment was set for a Saturday (she was looking at the July calendar). I was uninformed and unprepared to deal with the re-paving fo driveway area in front of the office building, making me late to meet with [name removed]. [Name removed] seemed more business-like, less friendly, more preoccupied, yet efficient. Nevertheless, she did take the time to show me several units in the cottages as well as the apartments and she gave sufficient information. I liked the size and the layouts of the units I toured. And, the cost per footage was amazing (sort of, lol) compared to [removed]. I sensed a busier, possibly more hectic, definitely more bustling atmosphere/environment. I am still mulling over this experience...

Apartments small for price and old and out-of-date. I don't know if shabby is right word. Looked like unskilled labor did general maintenance. Staff and residents fantastic. According to residents, 7% rate increase annually.

This one felt like a hotel. I really liked the rooms. The layout was good and they have updated some of the apartments. However, the hallways look very outdated. Again, I know they are renovating but this one was my least favorite.

Noticed stale/ stuffy odor approaching porch (cushions?) and inside facility (carpet?) First impressions are everything. This would not be my first choice.

Friendly environment, fair choice for indoor living. No rooms with balconies or patios. Not much space for outdoor living or walking with pets. Missed the feeling of caring attentive staff, sense of community, and attention to detail. For example, on arrival for my appointment I was helped at reception desk, and invited to wait in the cafe, and to coffee or something to drink but both coffee dispensers were empty. Residents were not greeted by name and not engaging to visitors.

Friendly staff, nice facility. I personally could not get past the Embassy Suites layout.

Nice, but not what we were looking for

Staff: 5 We have had direct observation and communication with the staff on all shifts. We have been pleased with their positive and caring interaction not just with our family member but also with all other patients in the facility. The staff appears very calm and knowledgeable. Cleanliness: 5 The facility is spotlessly clean whenever we visit regardless of the time of day. Activities: 4 The activities are as good as they can be considering the abilities of the patients. The only issue is that they are often geared more toward female patients rather than the males. However, I personally do not know of anything that would engage men more. They have taken our family member and others on a few outings which they seem to totally enjoy. Friendliness: 5 I can not say enough about how friendly every single staff member has been toward us as well as the patients. Food: 5 We have eaten several meals at the facility with and without advanced knowledge. The food is extremely good and varied. In addition, snack and drinks are readily available and offered routinely to patients. It was with great difficulty that we as a family had to make the decision to place our family member in any facility. We visited every single facility that offered dementia care in NW Arkansas. On top of our individual concerns, I am a retired RN with extensive experience in seeing poor care from nursing homes coming into the ER. Therefore, I am extremely critical of these facilities. I have also unfortunately had two other family members in dementia units in other states....one a positive experience and one a very negative experience. I have been nothing but 100% pleased with Magnolia Place in every possible way. My father-in-law did, of course, go through a 2-3 week adjustment period where he was very unhappy and angry. However, we anticipated that even though it was difficult for us to get through. But after that adjustment period he has been very happy and engaged in activities. We also feel that the positive stimulation by the staff and other patients has actually slightly improved his mental status and definitely his attitude. We, as a family, can 100% recommend Magnolia Place to anyone looking for dementia care for their loved ones.

The facility was a bit old/not updated. The clientelle seemed a bit on the older side, though it was hard to tell. Staff was friendly and kind. Layout was lovely. Value for the money.

I had a decent tour of this community. Everything went pretty well. The staff I met was friendly, and helpful. They answered my questions. The experience was decent, but I did not feel this was not the one for my mother, and her needs.

We toured Belleview Heights Alzheimer's Special Care Center. The staff was friendly enough, although some of their comments regarding the memory care residents were a bit offensive. We were looking for a community that offered a more cheerful atmosphere and the hallways were cluttered with too much furniture and we thought it could pose a tripping hazard for my mom.

Main dining and staff were all good. But the apartments small and cramped.
