I have a couple of main concerns: 1) They have no security at night after 7 pm when the staff goes home. My loved one was found out sleep walking in the parking lot, and fortunately another resident found her and she got back to her room okay. 2) We would go get her sometimes and she would spend the night with us. When we went to pick her up, she didn't have to sign out. In the case of an emergency, how would anybody know where the residents are and account for all of them? I think that's a very dangerous situation. I think they're a little high priced, but the cost is still in line with other facilities. It's a very nice facility and very clean. It's very appealing to the eye when you drive by it. It's not an assisted living. It's solely an independent retirement home, which confuses a lot of people I think. The staff I've had dealings with have been very professional, nice, and courteous.

I would recommend this community to others based on my experience. The staff is very nice and friendly and the community is neat and clean. They have activities for the residents to participate in but the food is not very good.

Everybody is very nice, the staff and the people living there. The apartments are lovely. They're spacious and arranged nicely. There's not a large grounds or anything, and the residents have tiny little patios, but good enough to sit outside. Not enclosed though, so mosquitos. Pet frindly community. It's in a great location near a lot of shopping and activities. They've had a problem with getting cleaning people to come in, but I think they've sorted it all out now. She doesn't love the food, but she's used to different kind of food. They serve a lot of casseroles and things where she's not exactly sure what she's eating. It's just not quite he quality she had a different place.

It was nice here. The staff seemed great, and we came very close to putting our love one here. But we decided that she needed more interaction. Our concern was that the majority of the patients seemed to be further along in their progression of dementia than our loved one, and I don’t think she would have been happy just sitting around. We wanted her to have more interaction and stimulation.

I would tell others that it is not geared towards a man living here. Most of the activities are geared towards women. You will need to be outgoing as well for the activities. My loved hasn't complained about the food.

I met with [name removed] who provided me with several helpful financial options and showed me one of the assisted living units. She also gave information regarding their senior living units which was very helpful and something I never considered before now and something I will also consider when or if the time comes.

My loved one really likes the community. The community is clean and neat and the staff is very friendly and kind. Communication between the staff and my loved one is very good.

The staff was very caring, and the place was very clean. From what I could see, the food looked good. They had activities lists posted everywhere. I checked out a lot of places around town, and Desert Rose was very reasonably priced.

Deer Park seems well-maintained. It sits atop a hill with a fabulous view of Mt. Burdell. The studio we toured had been tastefully renovated recently. Unfortunately, my mom couldn’t see herself living there, especially with her small dog. It felt “too big” from her perspective and challenging with her mobility issues. She felt it would work best for more independent people than her.

We chose Central Parke because their staff reached out more and I felt more convinced they were organized and had their game together, especially with dementia residents. They also have a nice walking area in the back and I knew she would enjoy that. She was only here a couple of months but I would recommend to others.

There are some activities for the residents to choose from. There are three meals a day for the residents and the food was good. The only critique I have is, I wish they had better transportation for the residents to go shopping or to go to medical appointments.

[name removed] was very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in dad's wellbeing.

overall I think it's a decent facility. They are family-friendly because it's a small facility and the staff is doing a great job considering the circumstances. I would recommend this facility to others

During check-in we thought everything was really good. The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. With COVID my parents have complained a little bit about the good quality. One issue we are having is with the inconsistencies of their COVID policies with the family members. It seems like it changes constantly, and the family members are not advised of these changes until we show up to visit our loved one. The communication between the weekday crew and the weeknight crew is off, as well as the feedback to the families. The other thing is the landscaping. The do really well keeping things clean, however their are palm trees in front of our loved ones window that is blocking their view, and apparently they only get trimmed every two years. However, we would recommend this community.

Heroes that work hard with exceptional people and residents. The employees are exceptional themselves doing the job they do.

When we initially saw Cardinal Court on the tour, the community seemed to be very clean. On the tour it seemed like the people we talked to really cared about the residents, the individuality of the patients was very important, they did not look at them like a patient. They really took the time to get to know them. We were able to see some rooms on the tour and they were about your typically sized room. During this time the care takers have not really been as responsive as we would like. We call to try and get our questions answered and sometimes they don not return calls a week at a time.

Our loved one is happy there, however there has been a big turnover and we aren't sure exactly what is going on. The head director left with no explanation and the one that placed our loved one has left so its all new people. This community is very clean, it is wonderful. It is more expensive, but not the most expensive. Our loved one likes the activities, she participates in the exercise classes, there is always something going on. With COVID it has been difficult. It is a really cool place and has a good vibe

Food during virus has been awful. Nobody got sick. Great management. Great activities before virus.
