Sunrise West Essex was wonderful to [name removed]. Aides were very caring . From the Receptionist Carol to all of Administrators all I can say they were exceptional. Thank you for giving me the recommendation

Sunrise of Sandy has been AMAZING! 5 on all counts! They took attentive, skillful, loving and excellent care of my mother-in-law. Her last year of life was so much better because she was there interacting with the great staff, getting to know new friends, enjoying the fun activities, playing the piano for people in memory care ... everything we had hoped she would experience in an assisted-living community. Mom passed away last month. The nurses, aids, staff, EVERYONE was so kind, supportive and helped us through that process, after she passed and the days following. If our family could give Sunrise a 10, we would!

The Stratford is a wonderful place to live. The staff and residents alike are very friendly and helpful. The food is good and they offer a nice variety I chose a fully renovated unit and wow! Really nice to have new everything Move to the Stratford - you will be glad you did

Very pleased! Good communication, caring and friendly staff from the Director to the Concierge to the Care Managers, memory care director and staff are wonderful and very responsive, my dad’s room is always clean, laundry done, he’s looking healthier than he has in a long time (he was at home trying to take care of himself) and he says he hasn’t had a bad meal yet lol Activities are varied and many residents take part. Overall very happy with Sunrise of Springfield!

The staff here the Sunrise of Norwood are friendly, caring and kind to the residents. They make them feel at home here. We have been very impressed with the care and dedication of the staff.

[name removed] and I have both been pleased with the services provided. From front desk staff to nursing assistance to nursing and administration we are pleased. Nutritional standards are superior. Our only concern is that there is a limited parking, and in our case, it makes it very difficult for our older relatives who would otherwise visit. I feel this deficit is not therapeutic for the residents and I hope that that might change.

Entire staff has been very kind and professional. Extremely clean and safe for community. Meals allow selection and always high quality. Many activities during day. Meds always administered on time and with education

Frankly, it's beautiful and smelled nice. The staff seemed attentive and were friendly. It is spotless and residents are well cared for. [name removed] is content living there.

We consider ourselves very lucky to have found Sunrise. We were very impressed with the care our mom received, and that was said by numerous family member. I have worked as a CNA for about 40 years in nursing homes, hospital, and patient's homes. My sister-in-law and our cousin are both nurses. Other family members without a healthcare background also agree. The care, cleanliness, and staff attitude were excellent! Meals were good with a lot of choices, including requesting something simpler to make that might not be listed on the menu. Seniors though have tricky taste buds so our mom was not as happy with the food as the rest of us were. Activities varied depending on the day and they tried to have a good variety, but again, residents like various different things so it depended on the day as to activity participation. Value for the cost is reasonably good. You get what you pay for though so if you want to make sure you have good care with happy long-staying staff, you might pay a little more to get it.

[name removed] is an asset to Sunrise Dix Hills. He is caring, passionate and treats the residents like family. My husband loves him, trusts him and is always happy when he come into his room.

I've had the pleasure of visiting this senior care and assisted living community, and I have to say, it's truly something special. The team here is nothing short of amazing—they genuinely care about the residents and each other, and it shows in everything they do. Recently, they held a fantastic farmers market, and it was incredible to see the joy on everyone's faces. The event was well-organized, with fresh produce, handmade goods, and a sense of community that just felt warm and inviting. Every time I visit, I'm struck by how happy and content the residents are. The atmosphere is one of positivity and kindness, making it clear that the staff go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels at home. It's a place that leaves you feeling happy and grateful, knowing that the people here are so dedicated to creating a joyful environment for their residents.

4 on Meals and Dining only because I think a full vegetarian diet should be available. It was a great experience from start to finish. I was confident in their ability to care for my Mom. I could sleep well knowing that she is safe and progressing with specialized care in an environment with her peers. They have a great team that cares about the residents and each other. I wish all Elders were afforded this type of care . I was impressed.

The “homey” layout is far better than “hotel” style facilities with long hallways. Here, everyone is close to the center of the activity. They try to keep residents there, rather than shipping them off to a hospital. The director was hands on and very helpful. Cares about the residents. They give the family the elevator code, so there’s unrestricted access. They have nothing to hide. Residents can go out to a large outdoor balcony any time. They don’t have to be “buzzed” out. Hospice/end of life is handled lovingly, medically, and with respect. The psych. Doctor who visits the facility is great. She responds immediately when there is a crisis. This facility provides a high level of care in a warm, homey setting. My Mom was in another Memory facility that was set up more like a modern hotel; it was cold, sterile and the level of care was no way near as good. Sunrise was a little more expensive, but is providing exponentially more care. Brie, the director, is very empathetic and hands on, and advocated for us with the hospital. I was at my wit's end trying to care for my Mom, and now I feel like she's finally found a safe, caring place to live. We final have "a new normal." I highly recommend Sunrise of Paramus. My only regret is that I should have gotten my Mom here sooner.

All items are a 5. We have been very happy with Mom's care at Sunrise of Cary and based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend this community to other families.

Our experience with Sunrise and their Memory Care unit was great overall. We felt that the staff genuinely cared for my mom and had her best interests in mind. I would especially like to complement [name removed], Reminiscence Care Manager, for her stewardship of an amazing program. [name removed] does a fantastic job of running the activities that engage the residents but doesn’t belittle them. The seamless integration of medical support and medicine management helped to properly consolidate my mom’s meds and put her on a much better track. My primary recommendation for Sunrise is to consolidate POC contact information for the different aspects of residential life (nurse, NP, billing, care managers etc.) to and overcommunicate this info to the resident’s families. I would highly recommend Sunrise to others, and appreciate their support during my mom’s time in VA. The only reason we moved mom out of Sunrise was due to her husband's recovery from medical issues which allowed her to go back to AL.

The facility is beautiful. Very neat and clean, always. Staff is very friendly and helpful and they seem to address any issues quickly.
