Sunrise Senior Living

We recently moved my mom into Sunrise of Dublin (OH) after exploring many memory care facilities in Central Ohio. Overall, the experience has been great. The staff is very attuned to the needs of the residents and goes out of their way to ensure they are getting the care the residents need. My mom was experiencing an unusual number of falls shortly after she moved in, but the staff helped us get her to a podiatrist to address some pain in her feet which we think was causing her to fall. Overall, the facility is neat and tidy and the rooms are spacious and in good condition. It has made what is probably a very difficult situation much easier.

From interview to move in to daily care and activities- the team at Sunrise at Mount Vernon has been involved and respectful of my resident’s needs and well being. The care staff quickly adapted to her individual needs. The activities have allowed her to regain her social skills after a few years (including Covid) of alone at home time. Beyond this, the team has assisted me with her transition - setting expectations, moving and support during her transition. I marvel at how members of the staff know each resident and seemingly their routines and preferences. Caring and upbeat vibe when you enter the front door.

Overall Sunrise was very clean. I gave it a 4 because the resident bathrooms were older and needed upgrades or replacement.

After touring various senior living facilities with my siblings, in an effort to find a nice spot for our mother, we eventually visited Sunrise-Lafayette Hill. We were truly impressed with this communities executive management, staff members, as well as fellow residents. Since Mom had suffered a stroke, we worried if the facility could handle her particular needs. Though it didn’t take too long to realize that Sunrise was up for the challenge — to our Mom’s good fortune. The executive managers helped us learn how things worked at a higher level, and the staff members assisted us in understanding how things got done. As for Mom’s fellow residents, they truly took Mom under their wings. The kindness of ALL involved could NEVER be forgotten. As for the cherry on top, Sunrise values simple fun for their aging residents, with so many opportunities to enjoy themselves within classes in the facility, on day trips, and during special dinners with their families.

Everyone is treating us so nice. I love the caring consideration all of the employees have. They keep his room really clean and are so considerate of everything. Thank you so much for helping me find them.

Sunrise of Findlay provided very good end of life care for our family member. The staff was very attentive to our family member’s needs and worked well with Bridge Hospice to keep him comfortable in his final weeks.

The team members made me feel at home when I was visiting the community. I was always greeted with a smile and the staff was quick to help with any questions or concerns. They genuinely care about the residents who live there.

From the initial visit through the move in date and beyond, the staff of Sunrise at Countryside have been helpful,attentive, caring and respectful of both resident and family members. I cannot thank them enough for guiding me through the application and move in process. They are always available to answer questions and assist when needed.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my mom and dad have received at Sunrise of Yorba Linda. We knew we had made the right decision from the moment we stepped through the doors. The warm, welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the professionalism and genuine compassion of the staff, has made all the difference in our family’s life. One of the first things that struck me about Sunrise of Yorba Linda was the sense of community. It’s not just a facility—it’s a home. My parents, who were initially hesitant about moving into assisted living, quickly felt at ease. The staff tried to learn about their likes, dislikes, and routines, creating a comfortable, personalized environment. This attention to detail has reassured my parents and provided me with the peace of mind that they are in good hands.

My sister loves being in a place that treates her and all residence with kindness and respect. It’s almost like a hotel with a dining room on the first floor and each resident has their own apartment with small kitchen for snacks a modern bathroom and comfortable size bedroom. The food is great and multiple activities daily that stimulates creativity, interaction with other residents and easy group trips.

Our experience at Sunrise of Decatur has been excellent. The staff is cheerful and thoughtful. There are lots of activities that residents can enjoy daily. Staff is wonderful about encouraging social events and walks on the grounds. The medication techs are on top of our complicated medication regimen as well. There is even a sweet house dog that enjoys pets and treats. 842-2615

[name removed] and her staff are awesome! Very helpful with all of your needs and concerns. I my mother felt welcome and has been happy since the moment she arrived. I would highly recommend Sunrise to anyone looking for a facility for your loved one!

Staff are helpful and friendly at Sunrise of Park Ridge. They all say hello and remember my mom's name. Pricing is more reasonable than other places. Care has been very good. My mom has settled in well.

The staff treated my mom very well, especially [name removed]. The meals were probably fine, but mom chose not to eat much. The activities were probably fine, but mom chose not to engage very much. Assisted living is way too expensive. People in their 90's should not have to face going broke to access quality assisted living care!

My brother really liked living at sunrise...especially the staff...so kind and friendly. He received very good care. He enjoyed the activities provided. Price fit the care level and glad he had the funds to be there. He was a picky eater so glad you had burgers as an option.

I would recommend yes, but check very carefully before committing to the lowest-priced room. It's excellent for short term, 3 to 6 mos. But be firm about shared kitchen/bath space. That is not an issue with other living spaces.

My Father in law is a resident and Sunrise Yorba Linda. The care he gets has given his family such peace knowing he is close by and happy. We searched other locations before finding this place, from the first interaction with the staff we knew we this was the place for him. I would recommend Sunrise Yorba Linda to anyone looking for a place for your loved ones.

Sunrise of Woodcliff Lake is a great place and we would highly recommend them to others. It is the best decision I ever made for my father for myself as his primary care and for himself. Great peace of mind knowing he's taking care of. Seen a huge improvement in his mental and physical health since moving in

I have been living at Parkwood Estates a little over a year. It is a very nice place to be. It is surrounded by huge trees and you can walk all away around the bldg as if you are in a park! The Managers are all very nice and helpful. The people that work in here in the dining area and housecleaning are also friendly and helpful and good at their jobs. They have many activities and things to do. They have a great physical therapy and occupational therapy company which works on getting you feeling better, relieving pain and improving physical and mental situations. I do recommend Parkwood Estates as good place to be!
