Even when covid was at worst tried their best to keep everyone safe and I feel the community is well run. I feel like after the pandemic is over I would give this community a 5. my loved one really liked this community and I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

We did a virtual tour with the community. It was very nice and the staff was friendly, they answered all of our questions and tried to make the virtual tour as good as it can be.

We had a virtual tour, but they didn’t actually give me a true tour. There was no actual walking around the building and seeing people, etc. We only talked about the cost and menus and things like that. I didn’t get that good of an impression. The cost was fine, but if they didn’t give any sort of visual tour, it made me wonder why? Like what was wrong the building?

The staff is very friendly, approachable, and willing to figure things out with you. They are always courteous and pleasant

Immediately on our tour here, I did not like this one. It was right on top of the highway, and I felt like the noise and the fumes would not be good for my friend's health. Also, it just looked like an apartment house. They staff were very nice - I had no complaints about the people. It was just the setting. Where we ended up elsewhere was in a beautiful, country setting that was very comforting and more what we were looking for.

We chose the facility because it was the only place in the area that had a 2 bedroom and living space that were separate. The staff here have worked with me well so that I can see my dad and I am thankful for that. I have not had any issues with the staff but I think they do need to get a new billing department, it is outsourced so there is a lapse in time and I am still working on some of our bills straightened out. On the weekends they do have limited staff so they could use more staffing in order to provide the care that residents need. They are keeping the common areas clean, but not my dads room as we expected them to.

It's an older property. Not as spacious as others we have seen. Floor plan for 2 bedroom was very awkward.

Nice. Sales lady does not listen well. Tell her you are teaching and cannot talk and keeps talking. Tell her need to make time when not in classrooom.. she makes the time does not call then and calls during class. Spoke later that evening...still does not listen well talks too much. Small facility. 45 people, Parma not close to freeway...I think too small. Hate Sunrise daily rates and nickel and diming for everything.

Facility was nice but rooms were too small for me and my wife. If I was looking for just memory care for my wife I might consider.

We toured this community and the tour felt rushed. The community was very nice and the residents seemed very happy. We didn't like the layout and there was lots of big heavy furniture everywhere.

We toured this community and it was nice. The staff was friendly, but the building was older feeling. I felt smothered during and after the tour. They had called us to see if we were interested and we told them no but continued to get calls and texts.

In the lobby and the common areas, things are very clean, but the residents' rooms are not. I'm really disappointed with the staff. The CEO left, and the new CEO has cut service. When I go to visit, only once have I seen an LEA (Aspire's name for a nurse's assistant). Also, they have had family zoom meetings, and I've been left out of two out of four meetings that I'm aware of. I know this because the memory manager happened to mention the meetings to me. There's been staff cuts, which affects the care. On at least two occasions, my loved one was very soiled when I came to visit. If I hadn't noticed, there was no staff around to notice, and I'm not sure when they would have since they are so low staffed. I would like to see more Spanish speaking staff, because my loved one speaks Spanish only. And then you have the complications of cuts in staff, cuts in service. In one of the family meetings, I learned that they had only one RN for both buildings, whereas they used to have one for each building - assisted living and memory care. On one occasion, I found my loved one's meds on the dresser. When I asked the nurse, once she finally made it into the room after a time, she said it was the night meds. Here's the problem. This is a person with memory issues. And they just left the medication on the dresser. So she never took it. So the staff cuts are seriously affecting the care on many levels. I'm disappointed in them and considering looking for better care for my loved one.

They're putting managing their costs above customer service. We're having a difficult time with the staff. There's a lot of turnover in housekeeping and direct care staff, which is causing a lot of behavioral problems. I think it ties back to managing costs. The food is not so great, and it's been hard to get the kitchen to comply with special dietary needs. Overall, they're just okay. The level of service is not great at the moment and their occupancy is going down.

Everybody was very friendly and welcoming, the information we received going back and forth was excellent. We were in constant frequent communication with them. they were helpful moving our loved one in through the quarantine and into her room. The staff members were very pleasant and patient with our loved one. However within three weeks of our loved one being there, they passed away from sepsis due to a bed sore they had developed.

We do think our loved one really enjoyed the meals at the community, and they did have some activities during the pandemic. However, our loved one was just not stimulated by them, and we do think they were to short staffed to be focusing on the activities. We also thought the cost was to high.

It is very expensive especially for the care that they provide. My mom could not walk when she went in here, but her mind was 100%. Once she was in here, she was stuck in a little room. They moved her from her chair to her bed and fractured her fibula, they are just not careful with her. Then they will put her to bed at 8:30 and when she lived at home, she would never be in bed before 11. Things are just now starting to open up in the past 2 weeks and I am ready to get in there to see how things really are. It is a beautiful place and my mom said the food is good. They also have a dog that walks around the facility which is nice because she is a dog lover. I would tell others before moving your loved ones in here to make sure you go over the details.

Overall I was perfectly pleased with Bedford and the people I worked with there. My biggest issue was I couldn't get people to call me back. I feel like they took good care of my loved one, but they were really lousy at calling you back. I would suggest when you move in, ask who is supposed to be the one go-to person for all phone calls, and ask how quickly you should expect to receive calls back. Other than that, everyone was very friendly. The care staff was really on top of bathing, medication management, and provided good care overall. One thing we wish they had addressed better was my loved one's difficulty with chewing. Other than offering pudding and Jello and such, they weren't very accommodating with that issue.

Our loved one is a picky eater so to them the food is not the best, but we were able to see our loved ones living quarters when we first moved them in and we would say the apartment is good enough, but a little tight.
