My parents are needing more help than Belmont can provide. Belmont did not live up to their price tag - it's too much money for the amount of care they provide or don't provide. If you don't need extra help, it's great. If you need any assistance with anything, it's poor/fair.

I'm skeptical of how they determine additional costs for care. They said it would be temporary but they never adjusted the extra price down after 90 days. I was under the impression that they would reassess after 30 days. My mom didn't eat lunch or dinner there and chose to make her own food but my one experience eating there was not great. For the cost I would think the food would be much better

We left Sunrise [date removed]. It was disappointing and very expensive. We moved my wife to [community name removed]. MUCH better care and 1/2 the price is Sunrise. My biggest problem with Sunrise when we first spoke and visited them was that their sales people emphasized that we would not need a private aid if we switched to them, then they reneged on that. They said that their level of care would make a private aid unnecessary but that was not true. Terrible deception.

When my mom moved in they made it extremely difficult. Something about her medication. The workers all had their information crossed. We just moved her in even though they said no. It got to the point of insane. The price is very high for what they offer. At some points my mom needed additional help. They were quick to raise the bill without doing the work. Sometimes my mom can’t get to the dining room. She’s very sick with kidney disease and falls. They want to charge her $15 each time she can’t make it to the dining room. So she doesn’t eat. We bring her food.

The facility was much better when I originally brought my mother here. There has been several management changes as well as a corp change. It has definitely declined with these changes.

All low scores derive from lack of leadership. My father spent 10 days in bed because managers wouldn't take the time to explain to my step-Mother why they needed a Hoyer lift, advertised activities didn't happen because there was no accountability that required on floor staff to lead them. When I shared my concerns with the former ED he said "well no one else is complaining". It was a memory care floor, if patients did remember to complain who would listen? As you can see I was not a happy customer.

Although Sunrise is more expensive, certainly did not experience the warmth, care or even being outside of the room a lot. Compared to [name removed]... he cried the first day when he was allowed to stay in common rooms after lunch instead of being out back in his room alone.

[names removed] were very helpful...the wellness center and billing department not so much. It is a very nice place. My father said that he was well taken care of. Dad was a picky eater but he liked the food. The initial Wellness Center intake person appeared knowledgeable and accommodating however the Wellness Center never reached out to me regarding my father even though there was an issue with medication being ordered through the wrong company and unnecessarily, but Heidi took care of that for me.

This facility is fine if resident is truly independent but if requiring assistance help is not very good. Slow response times and inconsistent is quality of care.

Sunnyside is primarily Spanish speaking staff, many do not speak English. When I had questions, they would have to go get someone else to interpret. I don't think I could recommend Sunrise of Sunnyvale after our experience. Unless your loved one is sturdy.

They were better equipped to handle more mobile patients. The staff turnover rate seemed high. The older aides were very compassionate; however, the young hires were not. The people doing the activities with the residents were very hands on. Residents were enjoying themselves and having fun.

These ratings would have been higher a year ago but many changes have occurred since then. There are some individuals trying to make things better again but it takes time.To be honest my opinion right now is not the best but I am hoping that they can get things somewhat back to the way it was a year ago. Is this the worst community probably not. Is there room for improvement in my opinion there is and I know some are trying.

Quincy Place has been extremely understaffed and there has been lack of cleanliness and we've had only one housekeeper. I love it here and am looking forward to the new management and the improvements they'll make.

Some of the care team members are very nice and help her with anything and some are very rude and tell her she doesn't need whatever she asked for or they tell her to get it herself, when they know she can't.

My experience is that communication can be inconsistent and my parents complain a lot about the food. That said, I do think the staff are largely very caring. I'm hopefully the new director will be a big improvement over the last, who was awful at customer service.

We moved my dad from Sunrise of Rocklin because we weren't happy with the care. When we walked down the hallway you could smell bathroom mess like they didn't attend to people who needed that help. Also, when my dad first got there, he was disoriented and had difficulty finding the light and the bathroom in the night, and had a pee mess, and cut his hand. It took them over a week and us complaining about it to get the carpet and wall cleaned. I eventually cleaned the wall myself, but they didn't keep his laundry done or clean the rooms enough. Lots of the staff seemed really caring, but I think they were staffed too thinly, and their on staff Registered Nurse [name removed] wasn't able to (or just wasn't) give everyone the attention they needed. MANY of their LVN's were wonderful though. We really liked them. They were not attentive enough. I was disappointed because their sales person was not the same as their on site staff, the sales person ([name removed]) made it sound like things were one way when they were not. Then she was off to the next location by the time we moved him in. No accountability. For a retirement home, the food is not awful, but not great. Lacking in really flavorful baggies, seasonings, fresh-made components. A lot of canned fruit was served. It seems they ought to have offered better greens, more fresh fruit, more fresh made things. Their activities director [name removed] was amazing. He was the best part of the place, also one of their front desk staff was wonderful. Her name was [name removed] They were very expensive and didn't take as good care of him as [name removed] is. He fell multiple times trying to get in and out of their elevator. It just wasn't good, they also didn't help him with as much as they should have, they upped the level of care needed, but didn't deliver more. He was prescribed medicine, and the medicine was delivered to Sunrise, and because my mother was in the hospital herself and she was the one with his medical power of attorney, even though I was there visiting, he never got the medicine administered because the nursing team didn't do what they were supposed to. He didn't know he was supposed to be taking a new medicine, and he's very agreeable most of the time, so he just slipped through the cracks for over a month. He wasn't getting a medicine he was supposed to.

Some of the caregivers were great and others were horrible. Many times of straight up negligence and understaffing.

Memory care is not well managed, especially on weekends. Staff does not pay attention to personalized care plans. Concerning situations have happened. For example, emergency cords have been pulled after a fall for help and no one responded, things constantly go missing (dentures, hearing aids, wheel chairs, personal food provided by family). The Care plan is not well followed or executed even if it's an extra expense you are paying for. We see this as a result from the Manager in memory care. She deflects all shortfalls usually onto patients who have limited ability to advocate for themself. She sets the bar low on her involvement with staff & it shows. I think assisted living would be fine but memory care is very disappointing.

If you are the family contact, they are great with communication and they call you every time there is any issue (like a fall). I do wish they would go in and help make the room nicer- hang up paintings etc... Overall I would definitely recommend Sunrise of Braddock Glen to others looking.

I gave them a 3 only because they need more help-They need more nurses to dispense the medication & more care givers . Everybody working there are kind and doing the best they can to help the residents.
