Improve response time to patient and we are iffy on if we would recommend the community or not.

The staff are all great. Very helpful and accommodating. They show so much patience when dealing with my mom. The activities have been enjoyable, but the exercise classes are geared towards the less mobile. The food is very bland but the dining room staff are attentive and pretty fast. The 1bedroom apartment is nice sized and up to date. They do not have a full kitchen, because meals are served 3x a day. The facility has had several elevator break downs and recently had a water heater issue that left the residence without hot water for 2 days.

Overall experience - 3 (but only bc my mom has been at sunrise for only 2 months). Admin staff - 5 (sadly one of the key staff left the company recently. We really liked her!). Activities - 5! Love that mom was able to take rides to the beach for a change of scenery. Value for the money - 3 (still think all assisted living w memory care is overpriced)

I originally loved it but the previous administration let things go it is not the place. The middle elevator ha been down early June and I seriously worry about the folks you cannot walk down steps. The have other elevators but the most central has been out all that time. The food quality and service in the dining room had suffered greatly that I stopped going there 6 months ago and in fact I moved out last month because I was paying for services not received. The people living there deserve better and I will miss them so much. There is a new administration in there so I hoped things get better. I will miss the geese.

I visited Brighton Gardens AFTER a tour of [community removed], a sister community. Providence was my standout preference in location, appearance of building inside and out, size of suites, distance of some suites to dining room and activity rooms, and overall atmosphere.

This is strictly for the memory care part the assistant living part was a lot different. There was roaches in the room. I had issues with the financial department when questions were asked about charges. Had 3 meetings and still didn't get my questions answered and was dismissed with a horrible attitude from the In house financial lady Everyone except financial were nice. Not sure I didn't eat there. I didn't see any of the activities but I was only able to visit at certain times. nothing about a living situation should cost you [removed] a month which is what we were charged. I honestly wouldn't recommend this place. If my grandmother wouldn't have passed away after 4 months of being there I would have moved her I was in the process of finding her another place.

We liked the lady who toured us around. Very friendly and knowledgeable. People we met were friendly and seemed supportive. The physical surroundings seemed suitable. We had actually decided on another place but at the last minute my sister chose Brighton. It should be said that my sister had dementia, not full blown, but enough to cause confusion. We liked the location, the outside grounds were nice.

I would add one star in every category if my mother was more mobile and communicative. Sunrise is best suited for people who are reasonably mobile because the staff, while efficient, do not proactively reach out and check on the residents (patients really). I’ve heard that my 98 year old mother, and seen others similarly disabled, yelling for attention and complaining about being left alone. Also, they are noticeably understaffed on weekends. Sunrise is a very different experience for someone who can move about and advocate for themselves. It’s a good, clean facility but not a perfect fit for everyone.

The facility is generally clean, attractive, and has a welcoming atmosphere. However, a few concerns contribute to the lower rating. The unit layout is spacious, but has limited accessibility in both the bathroom and kitchenette areas. The food quality is also an ongoing issue - basic options are typically chosen, but overall the meals are considered unappetizing. Additionally, the cost is quite high. On a positive note, the staff are consistently friendly and helpful.

It's very expensive. All services are line itemized instead of. Bundled. Several residents have to move out as the cost is not sustainable

Caregivers are kind, caring, helpful, and friendly. Staff is good overall, but should have taken action when resident had a rattling cough. After family member asked staff to check his lungs, they advised he should go to the ER.

The aides are very nice to my sister. They seem to care about their residents. Food is terrible. Residents have complained but nothing has been done to change the quality and alternative choices.

My aunt loves the facility but says the food is awful so we take her leftovers to eat most days. I would recommend

They're understaffed for Alzheimer's patients. I don't think the level of care is very good.

The staff is great! My mom is enjoying herself and the staff and residents have been kind and helpful. Some things are not working (the fireplace in the dining area) and some things need a deep clean (hallway carpets and benches). Some activities that my mom was looking forward to are not actually running due to low attendance and/or no shows by the entertainer. Food is not great. My mom was recently told that it's all frozen meals that they heat up. That was not my understanding when we visited. We were told there was a chef. So not sure what the story is there. I wish there were some fresher/healthier options.

Overall front desk 10/10. Most nurses 8/10. Aides 6/10, some were not very nice to mom and made us aware they did not like to take care of her as she was too "needy". Then others went out of their way for her. Depends on caregiver. Some aides would not take mom to activities. Staff did not always call back. so many choices and variety of food. Too expensive to eat with family member. $[fee removed] for dinner: soup, slice of ham, vegs and small piece of cake with a beverage. Good variety of activities If FiFi was involved it was 10/10! She was great. Driver, can't remember her name, was wonderful with the residents. She helped with activities also.

The floor staff was lovely, and really seemed to care for Mom. Especially [name removed] and [name removed]. There was one person who worked overnights who sent Mom to the ER multiple times for what seemed to be dubious reasons. (She had stomach pain- they didn't even take her to the bathroom, just called 911. $[fee removed] and 18 hours later, she just had to poop.) The stress from each ER trip precipitated several declines in Moms ability to communicate. I had to put Mom on hospice to stop the ER trips. . I do want to say, the people who cared for Mom overall were really wonderful, and I felt like they cared for her in ways that made her happy, even in her cognitive decline. I really struggled with it, but they made her feel comfortable and safe.

Our loved one did not participate in the activities. They need a little more compassion. The facility could be a bit cleaner.

I think the facility is nice but it's more geared towards independent living. The memory care was understaffed and I had many problems with the staff. Management did address my concerns and we met often ... but I did not see any big changes of any kind taking place

There were some bumps with care and they need a better management staff , but the place is nice , very clean and overall good.
