Not enough food or food choices. Unit not kept clean according to contract. Stop very friendly and helpful. Grounds kept nice. Often promises made and not kept by some of the staff. Maintenance issues not always address promptly or at all.

The community looked fine when we went to go visit, but we have not been back to visit this community since March due to COVID. The staff we have interacted with in the beginning were very professional. There was been some things related to the health care that our loved one has complained about, and sometimes it takes them awhile to follow up on.

This is a review for the reminiscence floor for dementia and Alzheimer's residents. We chose this community because it is a beautiful facility. The community area is very clean and people are very welcoming. They do entertainment and there are a lot of activities provided. It is like walking into a hotel. The first floor food is very good, but the 3rd floor they do not offer them the choices like they said they would. I think they should be offered more variety. I think this is a great place to be, we have seen many other places. I would recommend Sunrise of Bridgewater.

My favorite part about the community was the activities, even during COVID they offered a lot. They painted their rooms and had a happy hour and even provided beer around 3 each day. They played bingo and had puzzles. We chose this community because of the value for our money. The size of the room was just what my mom needed.

The management is handling the Covid-19 crisis very well. My family and I are pleased with their responses to each change in the situation. The food situation has been a bit more difficult to accept, mostly because of difficulties with food supplies to the kitchen and the time it takes to deliver the food. Hot food can be cold by the time it reaches us and the menu may have been very different from what was sent the day before. On the other hand no one is losing weight that I know. I am glad that I moved here.

My mom Resided at Sunrise for approximately six years. She suffered from mild to mid dementia. During this time she received very good care and found her stay there enjoyable. Special thanks to the Sunrise care team who always went above and beyond to ensure she was well cared for. I highly recommend Sunrise if you have the need for elder care for a loved one.

Some of the staff were great and some of the staff were not. I felt that my mother's room was kept very clean. Her bathroom often seemed like it was clean as well. The common spaces at the community were pretty clean and we felt good about the cleanliness, overall. We thought most of the care giving staff and nurses were very attentive and friendly. Some of the staff really took pride in caring for my mother. Mostly they would greet us every time we came into the community. While she did have some memory loss issues, we noticed the staff struggled with keeping up with her bathroom schedule and that caused some issues. One of the nursing staff told us they had care plans and that they would be more on top of her bathroom schedule, when it seemed like they weren't and this really made me feel like they weren't listening. The physical therapist really tried to assist my mother with her mobility.

Everything was always clean at Sunrise of Dix Hills. There were a few of the staff that were not quite as friendly, however most of the staff were clearly trying their best and were very welcoming. My mother started out in the regular part of the community, and was then transferred into the memory care side. We did have to bring in outside care professionals to help with her care because we felt they were not able to pay close enough attention to her and her care. We felt this was the result of some under-staffing. Compared to her previous community, the activities at Sunrise were not nearly as good. She would tell us they didn't do anything and it was not intellectually stimulating enough for her. The food was also not that great. Definitely on the expensive side for the care and services being received.

My mom is not interested in the activities that are offered. Staff was friendly and polite but not always quick to respond. Communication is not the best, it takes a few days to get a response. This was our first experience and we did not know all the right questions to ask. They offered activities but not what my mom needed or was interested. Maybe a bigger community would have a wider range of activities and interests. Property was beautiful, the rooms were great and it was a good location. My mom liked the food.

My mom was only there 2 weeks when they went into the shut down. She was just starting to adjust. I understand that they are doing what they had to to but my mom was very lonely.I ended up bringing her home. When she was there before quarantine she was really starting to make friends and they were helping with physical therapy. I think if she had two more weeks before the shut down she would have been able to transition a little better.

one of my relatives has been a resident for multiple years during which time stratford has been all of the good, the bad (or, at least, not so good), and the ugly. the good: nice apartment, plenty of provision for social contact, some very good lectures and other entertainments. patty edge, one of the administrators, is simply awesome. the not so good: issues related to the dining room are the biggest negative. the food is hit and miss -- and seems to be trending in the wrong direction. the dining room is overcrowded, not able to properly accommodate residents who use walkers or scooters. and the waitstaff -- though earnest and polite -- lacks experience. the ugly: guest parking is woefully inadequate since the city objected to parking on the grass in front of the facility. hard to blame management for this problem but a solution really needs to be found. stratford is not bad though far from perfect. if only the dining and parking issues were fixed, this would be a first class facility and excellent value. as stands, just okay.

The Burlington, MA location is lovely and inviting. It is three floors with two elevators and a stairway. There are several cozy nooks to sit and visit with friends and family. We had a studio which we used as a two bedroom and no den because of our situation and it was roomy enough to be comfortable.We were "respite" so the cost per month was quite high but they did provide furniture and accessories. There is no gym area here so any OT/PT was done is in your room or sometimes walking in the hallways We found dining challenging other than breakfast which was the best meal of the day with many choices and no restrictions. The other two meals we did not find well prepared and often minimal in the amounts served and we often subsidized from our room fridge. When hearing others asking for more were told that was the amount allotted. I believe some of these restrictions were more server related than management related and due to language issues. The preparation however was definitely a kitchen issue and needed a change. If you have food issues, make sure you clarify it up from and know what they will and/or not do for you. They provided activities daily and were well attended. My recommendation on personal services is to request a detailed listing of cost per day and what each of the price ranges cover in detail. We felt the vagueness around this issue resulted in being overcharged. It would be interesting to visit another Sunrise and see if the same issues existed there. Compared to a FL ALF we were in, Sunrise did not measure up.

The care staff is great. The facility is great. The communication with the office and billing staff is terrible It took almost 2 months after my mother passed to get the billing straight.

Fulfillment is not up to the marketing promises. They need more staff to improve response time. The kitchen needs to improve their inventory system. They never told us that distilled water for the Oxygen machine is our responsibility. That should be in their inventory at the amount we are spending.

They are very friendly , especially the Marketing people and willing to listen. As with all establishments there are some providers who are definitely more involved and caring then others and willing to work with you . Sunrise is very costly and wants the resident to pay more and more even when it is not necessary. Incontinence products , what they expect for the family to provide if you don't use their service and how their service escalates annually is one example. Their resident activities are focused on mind games and Q&A games. They differ then other facilities in that music is low on their priority. The meals are okay . I recommend speaking to residents and their families

The care concern & love my mom receives is amazing. The only issue I have is they need more staff. She is safe & well cared for. Some of their costs are a little high but otherwise I am very pleased with her overall care.

The main complaint my mother has repeatedly told me is the food. Outside of that we have been pleased with our choice.

We like this place because it is small and feels like living in a family environment. All the staff and residents know each other. The food is excellent and the staff is flexible.

The staff at Brighton Gardens is very caring and most are very helpful, which is extremely important, especially when your loved one has to go into Memory Care. The nursing staff is very good as well. They keep me well informed of what is happening with my loved one. They have an MD come in once a week and a nurse practitioner that also comes in once a week. They also have a pediatrist that comes in every other week. They take vitals (weight, BP, pulse, etc) once a month so that they can proactively spot any health changes. They are also able to do certain ultrasounds right at the facility too. This type of care is key because it means that we don't have to take her out to an unfamiliar place and wait for a long period of time. The facility itself is very nice, very bright and inviting and very clean. The rooms are small but functional. The food in the memory care unit is good but I wish there more choices. I also wish they would spend a little more time feeding the residents things that they really like. Overall, I am very happy with Brighton Gardens. I do have a couple of things that I wish would be better. First, the administrator doesn't return calls most of the time. You have to call back several times before you get a return call. Second, I wish there were more aids in the memory care unit. They have the limit required by the state but let's face it, that is just not enough. The aids they have do a great job but it's hard for them with such a limited staff. I wish there were more activities for the people in memory care. They do have a great activities director, but again, with limited people it's hard to do a lot of things to engage each individual. The activities director also doesn't allow the TV on during the day, which I can understand but if people are going to just sit around with nothing to do then at least let them watch some TV. The other thing that really bugs me (and most of the family of the people in the memory care unit) is that they can't keep track of who's clothes are who's, even though we put name tags into the clothes. I don't understand why this is so difficult but every time I visit my loved one she either has someone else's clothes on or I see her clothes on someone else. Finally, if your loved has to leave the facility to go to the hospital, for example, they still charge you for the nursing care and medication care for the first 3 days they are gone. The excuse I got was that they plan nurses for a certain number of people. I find it very hard to believe that 1 person not being at the facility is going to make that much difference in the nursing schedule. In the case of my loved one, who is at the highest level of daily care, this meant about $500 that I had to pay even though she was not receiving the care.
