Staff is kind, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. An excellent choice for senior living. In the short time my mother is thriving mentally and physically. Staff encourages her to participate in activities A family oriented organization.

Sunrise has provided a home for my cousin with early onset Alzheimer's disease that is comfortable, safe, and gives her a certain amount of agency as well. The staff is very nice, affectionate and actually quite fun. The food seems to be pretty good, too. The spaces are clean and well maintained. I like that they bring young people in to interact with the residents. The facility is undergoing renovations right now so some activities are not available which is a shortcoming, but hopefully they will be in place soon. It is good to show up for your relative and make it known that she/he has outside support.

It was a great place to have my mother in! The thing I like the most about it is, he did have any turn over with their employees. There were so many there there for years.

The cleanliness and the staff is good and they have long term retention, warm and caring atmosphere. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

The level of care has been very good. Any problems have been addressed quickly. The staff is kind and very attentive. This is especially important as my friend is nonverbal and has trouble conveying what she wants. She has improved greatly from the time we brought her there. The level of communication between family and staff is excellent. I can get someone to talk to almost immediately. Her previous facility was terrible if you were trying to get someone to talk to. Very pleased.

Very experienced staff that has continually worked at sunrise for many years -solid programming -very convenient location. Good size rooms and nice common areas.

The staff is unparalleled, much more capable and caring than other places my father had been in for short term care. The facility is pleasant and comfortable. It looks like a nice hotel, in some ways. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. My father felt safe and respected, and isn't that what any family would want?

My mother was very hesitant about staying at Newton Sunrise Senior Living, she was so happy she did. She had a wonderful experience during her respite stay and is looking forward to my taking another vacation so she can stay again. The staff was fantastic and made her feel comfortable and welcomed. She enjoyed all the activities she participated in and said the food was very good and plentiful. She loved her room and all the residents she met. I can't say enough good things about her stay. On her last day there the staff came in one by one to say good bye and hoped that she would come back again.

The staff were very friendly and provided personalized attention. They clearly knew the residents well. When my father went to hospital they followed up frequently. There are a good range of activities.

My mother lives here and the staff take such great care of her. They are very open to communication and the new Director is so sweet.

We love the weekly brunches were we can get to know other professionals in a great place. The building is clean and the food is great!

My mother lives at this facility and gets great care. They are always smiling and really treat her like family.

The overall experience and the friendliness of the staff gets a 5+. We are not sure about the value for cost as this is the first, hopefully the last, time I have experienced this. We would absolutely recommend this community to others! The caregivers love their jobs and it shows in the kindness they show to both the residents and the family. I'd go there if I ever need Memory Care. Ps. He was only in memory care, not assisted living.

The facility was clean and the people were very nice and helpful at our initial meeting and tour the facility decided we didn't need to go any further to check out other recommended facilities by you.

All staff from the nurses to front desk to aids to dining room stuff are so kind, patient and helpful.

The quality of care rating is more related to staffing and at times the "service of care" was slow. My loved one often complained about the food his statement would always be it didn't have any flavor. There were other times where he said it was good so I'll give a 3 rating.

My mom stayed here for two weeks while recovering from hip surgery. The staff was attentive and supportive. Everyone ensured that my mom felt loved, happy, and safe during her time at Sunrise of Shelby. I received regular updates about her well-being and care. The staff's dedication and professionalism shone through in every interaction. It was comforting to see how genuinely caring each team member was, treating her not as just a resident, but as a cherished individual. During my stay at Sunrise of Shelby I was treated with dignity and respect. The food was great, and the chefs always accommodated my special request. I received TOP NOTCH care from the nursing and care staff. Even though I was only there for two weeks recovering from a broken hip the activity staff came to my room every day to encourage me to join or engage me in conversation. [name removed], their Executive Director greeted me as soon as I arrived with a warm friendly smile. He told me that his door is always open if I needed anything. Although the community is not new and shiny it is still very beautiful, warm and clean. However, I'll take warm and friendly any day over new and shiny. At the end of the day, it's the staff that matters, not the granite countertops.

I'm confident we found the best match for [name removed] needs when we chose Sunrise at Holladay over the others we visited. Yes, it was proximity that put it on the top of the list, but as time progressed the personal touches shined forth and we sensed how everyone truly cared for Catherine and all residents. I would definitely recommend Sunrise at Holladay to anyone needing assistance with Alzheimer's care.
