A beautiful, homey community. Our loved one is not able to partake in everything that goes on, but it's a lovely place. The staff is also lovely. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the community is on lock down and we feel they are doing their job in protecting the residents. The staff have even returned one of my calls at 10 o'clock at night.

The dining room is always very clean and very nice. The staff is very friendly, they engaged both my kids and my grandmother which made our visit a very pleasant experience. It seems my grandmother enjoys the staff and feels they do really care about her. overall, we are happy with the care my grandmother is receiving. She always feels entertained and happy with the activities provided for her and the other residents and she can always find something to do and is never bored, which we feel is very important. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they could have been a lot better about communicating with the family and with my grandmother, who did not always know what was going on. We felt that because of this, it wasn't a very safe environment and we worried about whether or not we should be taking her out. Other than that, we would definitely recommend Sunrise to other families! Prior to the pandemic, we have never seen my grandmother happier. She enjoyed the community, staff, and other residents and loved living there.

Of the places I visited I think Kyffin Grove is a good choice. The outdoor space is nice. I have eaten there a few times and the food is good.The staff are a mixed bag, most are very nice. The director(name removed) is responsive to any issues I have brought to him. Nothing is perfect but they are working on things. The majority of the staff are very caring.

The staff at Sunrise were great. They were always there to help me and answer my questions regarding my dad's care plan. He really liked the food and he said it was good. The price was a little high for the experience he was getting there. We had some billing issues but they did get resolved. We chose Sunrise because is was the first community we visited, the location was close to our family, the facility was nice, and they have availability.

Staff is really nice. Feels like a homey place. I toured a lot of places and Brighton Gardens is the best place for us. The fireplace in the lobby is very inviting. The food is really good. The new chef is really good, food is important. The studio is cozy. Very convenient to get to, right off of the highway.

It is a good location with the right offerings for someone who is independent but still needs help getting out and with some services like meals and housekeeping. It is not a high end luxury place like some communities. The food was better in the dining room and the quality and variety of the food has declined now that they are bringing it to the residents rooms. The room sizes and the layout of the community are adequate.

The food is adequate, sometimes it is good and sometimes not so good. It is better than other places I have been but not as good as the best place I have been. The staff is kind of removed. You can not go to them with a problem. They have no solutions.There is no staff after 7:30 pm. I was told there was daily van service but as it turns out there is only one day a week that the van can take you to medical appointments. When the driver got sick there was no van service at all.There were a lot of things I had to figure out on my own, I had to ask several staff people about the laundry. There was no information about the hair salon. They are not good with giving you information on the services that are available.Laundry services are spotty.

They are very receptive to families' needs.They put residents first. Communication was good.Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. They did a good job with laundry, never lost anything. Overall they did a good job and they were very professional.

The staff at Lakewood Estates is very friendly and willing to work with me. My mom’s apartment is beautiful, she has gotten many compliments on it. I feel they are keeping her safe and I feel secure with her there. The food is very good.

Sunrise has a lot of caring staff there and the staff really seemed to like my wife and take good care of her. The staff were always friendly to me and I was there often. The nursing staff were always willing to answer my questions and address any concerns that I had . I chose the community because of its location, cost, and their ability to provide the level of care that my wife needed.

The facility is really lovely. When we toured, it was nice, clean and the people were friendly. I feel that my loved one is well cared for, kept clean, and taken care of. The food is very good. My loved one has the food delivered to the room and since COVID, doesn't attend activities at all. The aides are very sweet. There has been a lack of communication and the clinical staff are not very responsive.

My friend that is at Sunrise has higher end care needs and they do the best they can. Care is adequate. The layout is comfortable, it is not a luxury place but it is not a luxury price either. Food is okay, the menu is relatively limited. Smaller size community. I would recommend it for those that need that level of care.

I liked Sunrise right away and I liked the close proximity to my house. I liked that he could get the care he needed when he needed it. The staff loved him and were really good with him. The staff were caring and attentive. The food was pretty good.

In the beginning a lot of the staff were very helpful to my mom and my mom felt that she formed friendships with them. But as time has gone on, we have experienced many issues and staff are less helpful. Her hearing aides go missing for a few days at time, she doesn't receive mail, she's not showered often, and they seem to be missing her medications. She lives in the memory care so she and the other residents need reminders for activities. The activity board has the schedule on it but the residents don't know time and place anymore so they need staff to get them there. Residents go in and out of my mom's room and take things. My mom says its depressing and when I go everyone is just sitting around in chairs. It's just not what I expected.

Sunrise of East Brunswick was the most homey feeling of all the places I looked at. It is a very well thought out community. It is easy to visit. I was able decorate my mom's room with her things from home so it looks like her room at home. It is not at all a clinical feel which is very nice for the residents. There are less activities for the memory care then there are for the Assisted living residents. So far things are going well, my mom has only been there since February, but overall I am happy.

Wow so far we've been very please with Sunrise of Crystal Lake. One is never sure of what they are getting themselves into with something like this. This Sunrise was recommended to us and it has been great.

Very nice place, [name removed] made us feel welcomed. She answered all of our questions and followed up with information we asked for that night.

Nice place but a number of other communities offer a much higher level of service for much less money. Very pricey...

Nice size - 67 units in Independent Living wing. Clean and comfortable feel. Only drawback is breakfast hours are limited, and it's usually continental style - only cooked to order once a week or so. Generally same for lunch. Dinner seems like quite the social event, with few individual tables. Full size W/D in room. small pool with lift chair. Decent patio areas front and back. As of Feb 2020, about 6 month wait list for 1BR units. Very close to house.
