I think that The Fairfax has done a good job for my Mom . They are caring and dedicated in the support they offer her. My Mom also has a companion from The Key each day which also makes a huge difference. I feel that this is the right place for my Mom and the biggest factor in moving her here was the safety aspect and proximity to our home.

The administrative support is not the best. I have had difficulties with the billing department, and having phone calls returned related to my mothers care. I realize they are understaffed, but I think they could be more responsive to families. However, I am very pleased with the conditions, meaning: cleanliness and her apartment. I am very pleased with the meal services. Staffing is a little low and that's one reason why they have difficulties responding to phone calls. The memory care coordinator is very good, but she doesn't have the adequate staff to back her up and she can be hard to reach. They sent out a memo to all families saying its difficult to be staffed up in this climate and I know that. It's important to note that I asked for a meeting with the executive director. And that seemed to really address a lot of the problems, but I did have to go to their boss. I realize it is not an easy job, but if they would have responded in a timely manner I wouldn't have had to reach out to their boss. Once that happened, they've since been much more attentive. It took repetitive emails to staff before I had to take that approach, but should a family member have to do that? I was a manager before I retired and I don't like to go over an employees head. Once they did a good job, I did make sure to go back to their manager and let them know that they were more responsive, but it was still frustrating to me that I had to go to the director and it makes me worry about my mom. She has increasing dementia. One example is: she was really upset about noise and I couldn't get anyone on the phone to address it. The phone rang about 20 times, I didn't know if the front desk were staffed all night or who answers. It was really confusing. It took me about 2.5 weeks to get set up with the executive director because the staff were not able to answer the questions when I could get ahold of them. It's important to note that she was on vacation during part of that time, but there was no back up on an executive level (as far as I could tell). Billing was also a mess, I told the boss that staff are doing the best they can, but I don't think they are fully equipped. They lost a check for about [price removed]; they never tried to cash it or anything like that, but it did result in the payment never being applied to the books. All in all - I'm administratively frustrated, but the care is very good. For A Place for Mom: my advisor was outstanding! I have never done anything like this before ever. I've never looked for long-term care, I didn't know the terminology. I didn't know anything, and my father had just passed so I was nervous. The lady who took our case was so outstanding, she helped me calm down and find places to look at - she was awesome. I can't thank her enough for the skills she showed during that time in need. She was the best.

I only visited 3 that were in my price range, I liked this best. Warm and cozy

They have lots of activities provided for the residents, my loved one absolutely loves participating in them. The facility itself is so nice and absolutely beautiful - it definitely has a more homey environment. They have a little dog and a cat that live there and they really brighten up everyone's day. I would absolutely recommend Sunrise of Dublin to others looking.

Two things that are very important, the Director is absolutely awesome. He tried everything to make me comfortable and did everything he could. He was awesome. The menus and the food overall is not very good. It needs to be stepped up, I know there are other options out there in large amounts.

Our family had an in person tour and we did really like the Sunrise community, it was a good experience

Highly recommend for the area. It's better than other places that I had experience with.

I'm currently paying [price removed] per day for them to give out 4 Tylenol (two pills, twice a day), and that isn't something I like at all. Tylenol isn't good for you in the first place, so if it were up to me it wouldn't happen. Once a day maybe would be fine, but 4 Tylenol per day and for the price, are both ridiculous. That's not what it was when she first went in, but its changed a bit. Before it was [price removed] a day, which is still a lot. If they could give it to her at bedtime, that would be better. I understand I can't visit multiple times a day to give it to her, but that's a lot of money for Tylenol. In that particular situation, it does seem like someone is trying to take advantage. Other than that, they're very nice and they take good care of her. She tries to sleep too much sometime and they don't stop her, which I understand they really can't because she'll do what she wants and they have to allow her. Other places have a flat rate, and don't charge you for each thing, but it just seemed like the people here were so nice during our tour and interactions. I love the people, the residents are very nice and the people who work here are as well. Sometimes she eats, sometimes she doesn't, but they do try and get her downstairs at least once per day. If she doesn't come down, they'll take her meals up. For the most part and from what I've seen, they do take really good care of them and they care about what they want. I have everything good to say about the community, except for the medication management. I think that they should be able to add that cost in with the extra care. My loved one isn't able to do much on her own, and I don't want her to go anywhere else. I think for the most part, she is more familiar with the people there. There are even a couple people that she gets excited to see! Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls is a very nice place, an awesome place actually. I love the people, they are so sweet and they're very welcoming. Again, my only issue is the medication management, but as far as everything and everyone else, its good. They do her laundry well, they leave no stains in her clothing, even after she spills.

I like the facilty and staff. The care is on the expensive side.

Sometimes can't get in touch with staff. Mom is not too thrilled with food. Considering what it cost I would have expected more. It's not the Wildwood or the Ritz Carlotn, it is average. I personally would prefer to be in another faciltiy because it is more appealing but Sunrise appeals more to mom. Overall, mom is satisfied with everything, except they can improve the quality of the meals, and the choices on the menu.

[name removed] who runs it is one of the most friendly people we have ever met, no matter when we come to visit she always has a smile on her face and she is always willing to listen. Our loved one was able to take her furniture from her house which has made her place very comfortable. The meals and dining is struggling a little but due to staffing but we understand it is not their fault and its just now the "new normal." When our loved one goes to the activities she really enjoys them. It is worth every penny and our loved one now says to us that she wished we found Holiday Whispering Chase sooner, it really gives us a sense of relief

The head nurses were very attentive, the place itself is very nice and we would recommend to other families.

Our family has has a positive experience. They provided great care to our Dad and Stepmom. My Dad is now in Reminiscence, memory care. The staff is wonderful to him and treat him with care and respect. We know he is safe and in good hands. Big thank you Reminisence staff...you are gems. Would have rated it 5 except for inflation.

I liked everything that I saw, but they were not willing to be accommodating with our food needs.

Overall the whole environment is good. The staff is very friendly, and they keep the residents busy. The community might need some updating, as far as the rooms are concerned; but other than that it's very nice. The facility is locked and secure, we feel comfortable knowing our loved one is safe there. From what I've heard, communication between the community and our family has been very good. If there are any concerns, they'll address it. I would recommend Brighton Gardens of Columbia to others.

Sunrise of Schaumburg is kind of tucked away, I live near by and had actually never seen it before. When we arrived for our tour, the maintenance man was the one who took us all around which we found a little odd that it was not a director doing it. I will say though he answered all of our questions and showed us everything, even the memory care unit which some places don't like to show that. The facility looked nice and seemed to get good ratings.

I toured with Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem and there was nothing wrong with this facility at all. It was a good tour experience, I just found the value for what you got to be better at another facility that we were looking at.
