There are many things I do love about Sunrise, which is why we chose it for my Mom. Mainly, they seem to treat their residents like family, which is so critically important. They also provide a very nice level of care. Further, they've done a great job of communicating with me if anything happens to my mom (a fall, etc). Where I have struggled is that they simply weren't ready when my mom moved in, depsite signing the paperwork 45 days in advance and paying for our room a good full month in advance (the move-in delays were on our end, but that doesn't impact the fact that they should have been ready for her on Day One). When I say "ready" I'm talking about issues with the room - workorders of things that needed to be repaired that I had flagged a good month prior. They also didn't seem to have the staff fully ready to embrace her with a well-developed care plan, routine, etc. That said, they did catch up after about 2 weeks and things have been great since then. One thing I do struggle with is the fact that they don't provide any help in getting your loved ones to any specialist doctors (eye docs, mammograms, etc). I expected they could at least help make the appointments and line up wheelchair transport, and help identify transport companies that accept Medicare. Seems like that's not a service they provide, but then again, perhaps other Assisted Living places don't either (?) not sure. One thing that is discouraging is the month after we moved in, the rates have already increased. We were told this happens, but that it most likely wouldn't happen to us since we had just moved in one month prior. Then again, rate increases seem to be the norm in the industry overall. Overall, though, I don't want to overlook the fact that they treat my mom very well and I have observed them treating the other residents very well too. Also, I have always felt welcomed when I walk in, and I visit often.

I have adjusted to my new environment since I moved in over a month ago. Staff are very friendly and helpful although some have their favorites but it's getting better. I love the activities and I enjoy playing bingo, and mahjong. I also enjoy all the musical entertainment. I suggest that staff wears their badge all the time so I can recognize them. Being a new resident, I don't remember their names sometimes. I'm also satisfied with the food.

My mother went to this facility in bad shape from another un-named assisted living facility. The team immediately took control and got her into an emergency room. When she returned to the facility almost a month later the staff really cared for her and got her into much better shape. I would highly recommend. Thanks to [name removed] and her memory care staff.

Yes I do recommend to others and if I ever find myself in need of assisted living, without a lot of needed care, I would live at Sunrise.I have already told people to call and go on a tour. Sunrise of WG feels like a home.

The freindliness & helpfulness of the admin staff is excellent who listen and try to resolve any complaints or issues that arise All to often in the case of care givers and in house nursing staff they seem either not communicate or ignored The chef often creates superb menus some at fine dining level The sous chefs often fail to execute with excuse that ingredients have run out or lacking prep skills The servers frequently go out of their way to make up with speedy delivery and attentiveness Unfortunately they don't acquaint themselves with the ingredients of dishes and when asked must ask sous chiefs which delays delivery The activities are eithe banal mostly or performed by local staff whose capabilities are insuficient. However when outside activities (not often enough) are brought in from the vast cultural community in NYC they are outstanding The top of my list, being in rehab, is the outpatient physical therapy who's staff of two always available

I would recommend this community. It's organized so that you feel like you are a part of the community. Their physical layout is good with supportive staff.

Very friendly and helpful community. Best suited for my moms needs and dad could be with her. I would recommend to others.

This is based on my observation/experience. The "Meals/Dining" is based on my mother's constant feedback. I'm particularly appreciative of the nursing staff and their responsiveness and communication with me. I'm particularly pleased with those who've been made responsible for looking in on her. She did say on several occasions that there's one person that tells her they'll be right back to disperse her medication but supposedly they come more than an hour later...she knows they must be otherwise occupied. Thank you!

I felt that my Mother's meals could have been w/a little more variety even though her food was puréed. My Mother was kept clean & was carefully watched for any redness in her bottom area. Breakfast, lunch & dinner were kept on schedule for the most part. Could not comment on activities because my Mother was not in any condition to participate. She was only there for 1 month.

When it came to the care services, (mom said no one came by) maybe only if they're called? She wasn't feeling well one day and she pressed her necklace button & someone came. The meals were just ok, she said nothing was ever really hot, just slightly warm...I think ladies at her table were all complaining about so so menu, they ran out of eggs and usually waited a good 45 mins for plate to arrive at table to start eating . the value for cost was not worth it and I pulled her out like 9 days early.

I picked this community based on the recommendation of my care advisor. He became sick and was hospitalized twice. The previous facility would not agree to take him back without going to a skilled nursing home for rehab first.I made the decision to put him into Sunrise Fair Oaks based on the proximity to Fair Oaks Hospital and the high recommendation from my care advisor. I am happy with his care.

My mother seems very content at Brighton Gardens. She is currently residing in their memory care unit called Remanence. The facility is clean, food is good and the care is very good.

Mostly good. Great staff. Just some glitches and questions but everyone responsive. Would definitely recommend. Great food. Thanks. Like room. Enjoy happy hour and conversations with residents. Really glad for gym.

The care managers/health aides have a lot of staff turnover. There is not a lot of consistency of care among the care managers/aides. Communication with family is good. Mom says that the meals are a hit or miss, some things are good and others are not. The housekeeping is okay, mom just moved in and has a few stains on her carpet that have not been cleaned. The laundry service is not great, have lost many socks. The move in process didn't go great, but we were told that it was because we moved in on a Sunday. Most of the staff are friendly, some better than others. I would recommend Sunrise of Paramus for the quality of nursing care, location and safety. But it is so expensive that I'm not sure if it will be a good option for us long term.

In terms of the Dining Service’s here, I am always pleased to see my favorite Staff person who always treats me with love ?? and respect. Care Services are generally good. Rehab Services with Fox here within this Community, has been exceptional.

The Care Manager service is good, although Some staff have issues with some residents. The Food service is equally good. with exception to one incident that I witnessed, and was directed to someone else.

Overall this is a good place to be, after all, I can’t live on my own. Although I am fairly independent, I’m not able to self medicate. There should be more activities, and food quality could be better.

There are a lot of activities provided for the residents. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I would recommend Sunrise of Naperville to others looking
