Sunrise Senior Living

If a friend asked me about the community - I would say the strength of sunrise is the staff. They are very welcoming and got to know my father soon after his move. Everyone from the executive director to the environmental services team knows his name and knows me. It is a good feeling.I chose sunrise for the location, the activities and services and the staff.

Friendly staff and key leaders are helpful and friendly. In-house doctor and podiatrist does not replace the care of outside medical professionals or lessen the need for monitoring and advocacy by family members. The food and activities are great.Our family member required too much assistance for assisted living in Missouri. Sales staff at Sunrise are caring, attentive, and transparent. The possibility for socialization looked promising. We were encouraged by the renovations underway.

Sunrise Fairfax is a lovely facility that makes you feel at home - like mom has a room in a pretty Southern mansion. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. We are thrilled that Mom has not had a urinary tract infection since moving there. She had 3 in 3 months where she was before and it really set her back. So she is obviously being changed in a timely manner. However, she constantly laments that her primary caregiver could be kinder to her. That might just be because Mom is 93 and confused but I wish she was happier with her caregiver. The food is ok. She seems to like it, though, which is great. Overall, we are quite pleased with our choice of living arrangements for her. And I thank you all at A Place For Mom for helping us navigate through the various choices out there.

The facility was very clean. The staff and residents were friendly and welcoming to my mother. The first nights 1-3, my mother was given her evening medicine incorrectly. My mother would often get her morning medicines at different times ( varying by 2-3 hrs) throughout the morning. The meals were appetizing and tasty and a good variety. There seemed to be plenty of activities but more effort could have been made to get my mother to participate. The facility itself was very nice but for the monthly cost, I felt that I was constantly having to checkup with the staff to make sure that my mother was receiving her medicine or PT on time or having her shower fixed.

Sunrise of North Lynbrook is clean and there's lots of activities, but they are having trouble showering and getting my partner dressed. I ended up having to do a lot of upkeep which is not right for [fee removed] month

I recommend to anybody to come here. This place is terrific and people are very compassionate. My wife lived in Reminiscence for five years and they took excellent care of her.

My friend recommended Sunrise to me when I told her I was looking for new assisted living housing. When I toured the place looked good to stay at. I first came on a trial basis but now I plan to stay here.

Be proactive. Ask all questions, don't assume. Make sure you know their entire pricing list. You pay for any assistance per day. If you don't know , about the level of care your loved one is assessed at ask for price list. The staff is great. Warm and kind. Food is great. Just keep informed about pricing .

The overall experience with this facility is good except for the food. The food is too salty especially the foods that have sauces like the Salisbury steak. Also there needs to be more food varieties and options for alternatives in the daily menu.

The staff is great. My Mom speaks very highly of the housekeeping staff, the dining room staff, and especially the concierge. The move in process was performed by my family and an outside company. The apartment was in good shape for the move-in process. My Mom is a picky eater. She will not eat everything, but likes what she chooses to eat. I would definitely recommend Sunrise of Plano.

I have lived here for a little under a year now and it has been very nice. The staff are very nice and I enjoy talking with them. They are very helpful and willing to get me anything I need. I really like [name removed] and [name removed] because they are very patient and kind. The dining staff is also very nice and helpful. My favorite meal is dinner, where I love to have chicken, mashed potatoes, and just about any type of vegetable.

I am new to the community, but am settling in well. So far I have come to find out there are a variety of personalities in the community and it is more about finding the personalities you connect with. I have met a few residents I can get along with a talk to during meal time. The staff is very nice and respectful thus far. I really like [name removed] in the dining room. I like the variety in activities offered, but my favorite activities have to do with moving my body and getting exercise. I like the morning exercise classes and I want to join in on walking club, but I might have to wait until the weather gets warmer. I would also like to be involved with gardening if that is something we could do in the springtime.

I really liked the care I received at Westtown. The associates were all very loving and took great care of everyone. It was well run and took all the associates wants and needs into consideration. The activities were very organized and planned with all patients in mind. All likes and needs were well thought out.

The staff at Brighton Gardens are remarkably caring both in assisted living and in memory care. Staffing is much more stable than at any other senior residence in the area based on the other facilities I’m familiar with. I have recommended BG to many people.

Visited [date removed]. I found the establishment to be clean and smell pleasant. Also greeted with friendly smile and helpful staff. My mom was slouching in her chair and called the staff to help her sit up they came and were very helpful.

They overstate how much care they can provide. My mom was on the floor yelling for help for who knows how long because she forgot about the button around the neck. People need to be able to manage pretty much on their own

The living quarters she has are sufficient for her needs. The ability to bring one of her cats with her. The proximity of the facility to nearby shopping, dining and other options. The location is equidistant to my residence and my sister in law, we are her primary caregivers
