My only frustration with this facility was the therapy staff that works in their building. They did not accommodate to the residents needs, often just showing up without warning. The facility does not use agency nurses. Their staff has been together a long time and takes pride in their facility and work. Nurses were open and communicated with family, promptly relaying concerns. The facility phone was always answered promptly by a friendly human, never a machine. The facility is beautiful and homey, not large and institutional. The nurses aides were kind and attentive.

The staff in general is very caring and attentive. Activities are plentiful. Service in the dining room could be improved between wait times and getting orders right. For the pricing they could be better staffed. Disconnect between how it's sold to you from the sales dept and what the realities are.

They are very helpful and friendly. Go out of their way when needed. Yes, I would recommend the community to other families based on the experience so far.

The staff has generally been very good. The shared rooms are very small once you've moved furniture in. The small studio rooms are larger and much brighter

I found a few caring people that helped my Mom. However most of the staff in memory care are cold and seem not to care at all! I would not ever recommend this place! I have seen the memory care area only because that's where my Mom was. Many of the staff don't seem to care about the patients at all, they are going through motions and mean and uncaring towards the patients themselves! No I would not recommend this place at all...

We ended up choosing them but had to move him to a higher level of care and they were so kind and helpful and genuinely sad to see him go.

Sunrise of Schaumburg provided very good care of my mom for her short stay there ([date removed]). They had plenty of activities for the residents and the facilities were clean , modern, and well equipped. One thing I would like to say as far as facilities is the inside is fine, but the outside building from the street side needs some work- broken handrails on the porch area and trim along the roof missing or broken.

The facility is very nice. Options are good, and the staff is overall very attentive.

What we like the most about Highland Trail is the brightness, the staff, cost, mom seems happy. Yes I would recommend

Everything seems to be going smoothly. Mom says the food is good. She is well taken care of had her hair cut by the in house salon. Happy overall. It is a bit pricey.

Staff was very friendly and we felt it was a good match. [name removed], the concierge, is a great source for any issues you may have. Plus the price was more affordable. Get to know your loved one's care team. They will keep you informed of any issues.

It is a friendly atmosphere. Room/apartment sizes and meals are both adequate.

What we like the most about the community is that the activity coordinator does a great job of keeping folks engaged. Also PT available for the residents.

The staff is all very nice and they do their best to address any problems as they arise. The accommodations are nicely updated and kept clean.

Staff seems friendly and kind. The facility is clean and homey. There are some activities outside of the memory care unit that I think some but not all the people from memory care would like, but they are not taken there.

I had a hard time with the caretakers being unfriendly. They melt to themselves. My mom had a very hard time with them too. They didn't like her. They were mean to her. The ancillary staff were wonderful!!!! The person in charge of the caretakers was fabulous! She did all that she could to help them have a better relationship. All the other staff I can't say enough good things about. They were good to me and my mom And family. The facility was very nice, very clean and great place to live

I would say we like the cleanliness of the facility, he seems to always be cleaned up well and they offer a lot of activities. There seems to be a lot of staff turnover though. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

When it comes to the activities we are unable to evaluate due to my dad's medical condition. What we like the best about the community is the welcoming environment. What they could improve on would be acknowledgement of limitations with patients requiring higher level of care.

Proximity to family, cost convenience stuck out over other places. Friendly, variety of activities, clean

It's only been less than 3 months since my wife went into the memory care unit at sunrise. So far things have been going well with everything and she seems to been acclimating fairly well to her new environment. The staff has been very helpful with her and making her feel welcome and cared for
