Sunrise Senior Living

Sunrise Senior Living in Westlake Village, CA provided my mother with a warm, clean, and positive environment during her final days. The Sunrise staff is extremely professional in all functions and responsive in working with us. They coordinated my mother's care with Kaiser Hospice, a critical factor in our choice of this facility.

This is one of the communities I toured when I was looking into care options for my loved one. It looked like they had quality care and a nice variety of activities. It's a nice clean facility, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I looked at quite a few options in the area and I was very impressed with all of them. This didn't end up being the place that I selected but I was still impressed by what I saw here.

Great place, perfect and a possible for when I need it. No bed available now for mental care, but on wait list. Father-in-law in hospital so we don't know what will be next or if anything will be needed. I recommend you offer this as a high quality place as often as possible.

I would give the food a 3.5, but my loved one seems satisfied with it - there's a decent variety of options on the menu. Also, their activities seem good. I've been to a few of the family oriented activities, and they've been fine. They are excellent on their outreach to families, and there is great communication. I am regularly hearing from everyone. There were a few times I was concerned about some issues, but everything turned out to be handled correctly. Perhaps there may just be some communication issues between the staff. I didn't compare Sunrise to any other companies, but over their two locations that I looked at, I chose Park Ridge. The space is larger, and there are more community spaces for the residents to go to. Even though it is bigger, they still have a personal feel, and seem to know their residents personally.

I toured two different Sunrise communities, and I was impressed by both of them. They were both beautiful looking communities, and both very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and appeared to take great care of the residents. They were also both on the higher end of the cost spectrum.We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. This was a very nice looking place!

Deciding to place our beloved Dad in a home away from home was a devastating and extremely emotional decision to make. We thank God for Sunrise of Abington everyday. It is a beautiful place in every sense of the word! The facility is gorgeous, the rooms are immaculate and the food is superb. However, it is the people who care for my Dad that make Sunrise such a superior place. You can feel the love here. Sunrise is truly the answer to our prayers. Our Dad is safe, well cared for, and treated with dignity, respect and love. His individual needs - physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological - are all well-known and well-met at Sunrise. My Dad received physical and occupational therapy right at the facility, and his doctors visit him right in his room. Activities abound and my Dad's day is filled with stimulating games, great meals, and good company. The staff is extraordinary. They are knowledgeable and competent, and treat the residents as if they were family members. Staff members really CARE for my Dad, and he in turn feels comfortable, secure and loved. My Dad truly cares for the people who take care of him. In addition, he has developed meaningful friendships with several of the other residents. Sunrise is his home, and we could not be more grateful for the wonderful atmosphere in which he resides.

We had a very good experience, and it's working out very well for us. It's a very nice place. We have hired a facilitator, and she communicates with the staff if there are things that need to be addressed. Mom loved it from the beginning. They love the food, they never stop raving about the food. There are things to do.

A wonderful facility. Definitely my fist choice.

Out of price range. No Medicaid. Great facilities.

We couldn't be happier with this place. Mom loves it here, and they are more than meeting every one of her needs. She says that it really feels like home. One of her favorite aspects is layout of the community. When she exits her room she is in a communal "neighborhood" type area, with chairs and couches, and there are always residents out socializing. Every time we visit her we leave feeling like she is in a good place.

I toured this community while I was looking into care options for my loved one. This was the second Sunrise community that we toured, and they were both very very nice looking. I wouldn't rate this one quite on the level of the other we toured, Sunrise of Providence, but I was still very impressed by what I saw here. It was not an option we were able to consider, due to distance, but definitely a high quality place and worth a look!

I toured quite a few locations during the search and this one was absolutely the best that I saw. The facility itself was well kept, clean, and beautiful. The staff were all very friendly, kind, and obviously cared a lot about the residents. Unfortunately this facilty turned out not to be an option for us due to distance, but I would definitely recommend taking a look at this place to others!

mother thought Sunrise Senior was a country club, olde world charm with a modern bed and breakfast service. not institutional at all. bright and airy, central air, delightful and polite staff. Executive director and director of sales could not have been more helpful or kind to family.

We needed to place my father in assisted living on a rather urgent basis, and the staff at Sunrise pulled off the impossible by making all the arrangements in one day. I can't say enough about the staff, they are friendly, welcoming, and always willing and able to help. My father is thriving in the homey environment. The facility is smaller than alot of the other places that we considered, and that was a selling point for us, because the staff are able to really get to know the residents,and that would not be so easy in a large facility. I would recommend Sunrise at Gardner Park without hesitation.

This was truly a beautiful facility (in and out). I really liked the interactions that I saw between staff members and staff with residents! Everyone that I observed was engaged in an activity or simply enjoying conversations with other residents. Sadly, the pricing was too high for my Mom's monthly income which takes it off our list of options.

I have visited this facility, very nice

I have no complaints. Once you go inside, you are pretty much sold. It just looks like regular apartments, and I almost didn't go inside. I am glad I did! It's been good.

The woman who gave the tour did a very good job, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. This place just had a great feel. Based on input from other family members we ended up going with the other option, but I'm sure they would have done a great job here.

We've had a good experience here so far. Sunrise is well run, well managed, and the staff are caring and professional. They do a great job of providing the sort of care and environment we were looking for, and they have alleviated our concerns about our loved one.

We are very pleased with Lakewood Estates. It is perfect for Mom and her dog.
