Sunrise Senior Living

Liked this place and will have my wife checked in---seamed to be a great staff that knows what they are doing. When the time comes (in the next week or so) they will go to the hospital in Boston and pick her up and take her to Plymouth!!!

Both of my parents currently live here. It is fabulous. They handle everything. It has been a five across the board. Reminiscence care at Pinehurst is great. My dad is an outdoor person, and they have a huge outdoor courtyard that he can go in anytime of the day or night. There is an alarm so they know that he is outside, but they let him walk laps so he feels free. They allowed him to bring his therapy dog, which was very important to us. The director is really, really good, and has been there for a long time. We've also noticed that more of the caretakers speak English as a first language, which was a problem before because my dad is hard of hearing.

The care is very nice and I would give the friendliness a 10 if I could! My sister is there and they have outings and they have jewelry making and things like that. The food is wonderful - I'd give that a 10 too.

It's amazing! If I had to compare it to other places that I have looked at, I would say the value is good. It all depends on the services your family member is getting so what I'm paying for my mom may not be what you would pay. It all depends on the level of care. I think the care is very good. I'm not there to see it and my mother has some dementia and I'm thinking that any confusion that has happened is due to that. The activities could use some improvement. I think they should offer a few more outings and maybe some games other than bingo. I think their arts and crafts could be enhanced. They could offer some very simplistic things like they're doing but possibly they could have some things that aren't quite as simplistic. The staff are just absolutely wonderful people. They are genuinely caring. It's really an amazing place and I'm so thankful we found that place!

Very nice! Nice people, nice food, nice apartment! They have bingo and right now they have a group playing music about the army and the navy. I live in the independent portion. I have a small kitchen but I don't use it because the food is included, and it is great food. I chose this community because it's only five minutes from my granddaughter, but it was a great choice.

I liked them very much but they were a little expensive. It's felt like home. It was very cozy and everybody was familiar with everyone else. You could tell it was pretty friendly. They had a lot of really nice rooms, like a movie room and there were puzzles everywhere. It just felt really comfy and familiar.

My father-in-law suffers from several aggressive forms of dementia (not Alzheimer's) which renders his behavior very combative at times. Many communities would not take him, and he had 2 hospital stays and 2 different care facilities before we found Sunrise through A Place for Mom. Joanna Dunbar from A Place for Mom was phenomenal in her knowledge, friendliness, professionalism and follow-through. The staff at Sunrise Paoli is second-to-none, and we have a lot to compare them to. My father-in-law is in their secure Reminiscence area of the facility, and everyone from the Reminiscence Coordinator to the Director of Sales to the Personal Care Coordinator to the Aides have embraced his difficult situation with experience, understanding and truly personal care. We couldn't be happier.

It's a little expensive but it's very good care. They do a lot of different things with them. They do music and games, crafts and things like that. Off the top of my head I can't think of any ways they could improve right now.

I've been very happy with them. It's a very good place. I like the way that it looks homey and I like how nice the staff is. My father has had a couple of problems and they are willing to work with you. It's like they can't do enough for you. He's gone from the independent living to more care and they couldn't have been nicer about the whole transition.

We moved both of my parents, who have vastly different care needs, to Sunrise of Madison. The staff and administrators were happy to accommodate and welcomed all of us to a fittingly homey, comfortable beautiful setting. Communication between staff is key. Sunrise of Madison accomplishes this naturally and professionally. Our family is relieved that our parents will spend this important time in this atmosphere that gives love to their residents, their families, and to each other.

First class property. Jennifer did a great job A bit pricey and rooms were small. We have several others we plan on visiting. Proceedure is one of eliminating choices. Sunrise is still on the list

We are very happy. The staff is great – everything about it has been great. Mother is in memory care and she still has activities morning and afternoon. They include all of those residents in the activities. They never just leave them alone. They are always out with other people and they eat with other people. The staff is very good at caring for them.

We wanted to take my mother in law to this one but they didn't have any openings. It's jsut so clean and so bright and vibrant. I'm sure it's not modern, I don't know how long they've been in business, but it's very well kept and it's very bright. Everyone was very friendly and even some of the residents came up and said hi.

They were exceptionally friendly, they were really, really nice and understanding. My mother in law was put in the hospital in Yonkers before she went there, she spend 5 weeks in the hospital and Sunrise was really super nice, they kept her room open, they didn't charge her until she moved in and then she died shortly after. They provided a bed, dresser and I nightstand which we really liked also, my husband couldn't have stayed 5 weeks waiting to move her in. We had put the deposit down but we had a hell of a time getting the money back; they charged us extra days for the time it took us to fly back and it's all understandable, I'm a reasonable person, people just weren't returning my phone calls, they were hanging up on me so finally I had to write a letter to their main office and they got back to me really quickly. The whole experience was wonderful, the people were wonderful, they got to know my voice, but I was not pleased with their accounting.

I think they could improve on taking better care of their possessions. My mother actually lost her glasses and then her diamond ring went missing. Her hearing aids sometimes are in, sometimes they're not. She's in the memory section so you have people walking around and picking up stuff sometimes; so I guess it's not really their fault but it still would be nice if they could take better care of those. I think I went there either first or second and just came back to this place. I wouldn't say it was any better but it was just in a better location and things like that.

I liked how each room felt like your own living room, porch for quiet reflection and several opportunities for views and connecting with nature. coming from a home in the country, this will be a hard transition in general, so the natural sunlight throughout is a definite plus.

I would like to say thank you for helping me find such a wonderful place for my grandmother. Given the difficulty with memory deficits and complicated medical component it is so nice to have been able to find a place that can handle both. We just celebrated my grandmother's 90th Birthday. Our whole family was so complimentary of their experience at Sunrise. From admission to ongoing care we as a family (a large family) couldn't be more pleased with the staff and care she receives.

The staff at Brighton Gardens has been professional and helpful from the very first day I visited the facility. My father and stepmother did not want to move from their home, but both are suffering with dementia. Both of them say everyone at Brighton Gardens is patient and kind. It has been a difficult move for my stepmother, but everyone has been supportive of her and our family.
