Sunrise Senior Living

Our experience with Sunrise of Lincroft has been a very good one! It just feels like a happy, upbeat place to live, everyone is very friendly! The facility itself is nice and clean, and looks very new. It just seems like a very nice place overall, and we're happy with our choice!

This was mom's first choice. This is where she was comfortable going. Unfortunately, due to timing, there was no availability, and we were not able to get in. A nice place though.

I am very pleased with Sunrise of Sandy. The staff is very personable. They have gotten all their paper work done to build their insurance. They have made my father-in-law feel welcomed and important. They have a very clean and pleasant atmosphere here. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility. I cannot say enough good about them.

I am satisfied with the Sunrise of Richmond so far. They are great. Perhaps more activities would be great.

I had sold all of my furniture before I moved in and they put me in a guest room that was fully furnished and it was gorgeous. They made sure I had towels and bed linens and things like that. I do like it here and everybody could hardly wait to talk to me.

The staff at Sunrise of Chesterfield are all extremely friendly. I am there 2-4 times a week and have gotten to know them pretty well. They are all wonderful and very eager to make the residents happy. As far as the administration staff, we have had a few small issues. For example, we needed a hospital bed instead of a traditional bed and I had to remind them a couple times on that. But overall I am very pleased with the care she is getting and the environment. It was important that we find a place where she would be happy, and she is very happy here.

What they have done well is they perform actions without a lot of prompting from me or my family. They also are great about giving me updates about how my Dad is doing and his progress without my having to ask. He has only been there a couple of months, but they are doing a great job so far.

Well, right from the start you are made to feel like family. So when I needed somewhere for my dad to go the choice was easy. But when I saw the place I was even more excited. I thought maybe my dad can have a life again instead of waiting for the end of his life. Its beautiful, right out of an Eathan Allen showroom. The staff really cares. My father has a lovely room, a clean bed, and is making friends. He is eatting, drinking water and taking his medications. I love the party like atmosphere. Not like a nursing facility, like home.

Sunrise is a very nice facility. Everyone was very friendly when we toured. It was a little on the expensive side for us and wasn't really a viable option. This is a five out of five for me.

Elena, In sales, was very helpful in explaining all of the details to us about Bedford Court. She worked with us throughout the move-in process and her wealth of experience helped us over a few "bumps in the road ". The "Community fee" is $[removed] for Assisted Living , however it is refundable when a resident leaves or passes on. That, and the fact that they have all levels of care was a determining factor for selecting them. The monthly fee is steep [removed], but if you can afford it, it's a very nice place for anyone that needs or would like to live in this type of environment. Of course the monthly fee varies depending if you have Independent Living or Assistant Living. Another plus is that they provide free van service for doctor appointments in the area. (Some of the places that we checked out did not and that meant $75 RT for each doctor's visit for a van service. ) It's just a shame that there are not more reasonably priced CCRC's for the middle class that have excellent ratings.

Quincy Place was just one misunderstanding after another. They made a lot of false claims. My wife needs assisted living. The place was beautiful but they were kind of pushy. I made an appointment with access a ride and went in the morning to talk with the staff at Quincy Place. They showed me a model of the apartment with a 2 bedroom and bathroom. I saw elderly people walking around. I asked if my wife could keep Medicaid and they said no because it was a private facility. They said they could take her doctor twice a month but they have no wheelchair accessible vehicles. In order to have a half day of care for my wife it would be over $3000 a month. I called them and said this isn't what they told me when I was there. I had get an attorney because they wouldn't give me money back. I couldn't even see the whole apartment because they were cleaning it. The facility would be a beautiful place if you were just there to retire. It just wasn't the kind of care my wife needed. I am not happy with the way this facility deceived me.

My mother in law is living at Sunrise of Baton Rouge and I have really been super pleased with everybody there. They have done everything possible to make her feel at home. I could not have asked for a better place. They have really gone above and beyond. They are always checking on her. She has been a little stubborn in saying she does not want to stay there and wants to go back home, but as far as I am concerned, she is in the best place she could possibly be.

Holiday Hills is definitely the best place for my mother-in-law. A great apartment. The very best activities coordinator. Great food. Great value. When we started our search for a facility we never imagined finding a place quickly that we could all agree on, that was clean, up to date and engaging. But we found it! We spent an afternoon looking at other places and the last place was Holiday Hills. I wish it would have been the first. The administration staff was incredible. Kristi the activities lady is a god send. The entire facility impressed us. We were all scared for mom, but after a brief call and a quick tour we knew this was the place. My mother in law was "not moving" until she saw Holiday Hills. Now she happy, secure and most importantly - safe.

They are keeping my loved one happy, so that is all that really matters I guess. They are doing very well over there at Sunrise at Webb Gin. He has been in a couple of other places and this has been the best.

They do a good job!

We found it very hard to put mom in an assisted living facility, but Sunrise of Holbrook made the transition easy and less stressful.

I think for the most part they are taking good care of the residents. They could use more staff for the Alzheimer's Unit. I feel that if they had more people around, there would be less falling (the resident's lose their footing sometimes.)

They could definitely improve on the food they serve and with the managers, who tended to take control of everything. The facility itself was a very good facility, but the food especially needs to be improved.
