I was very impressed with my tour. They are a caring and kind community that want nothing but the very best for our loved ones.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are new activities all the time! Our apartment has maid service once a week. They have a good food selection.

Staff is amazing!! My Aunt likes the food!! She loves the activities. Room is very nice! I would absolutely recommend the community to others!

My sister is high functioning in her Alzheimer's journey. Sunrise goes above and beyond to keep her in Assisted Living. Other residents come get her for exercise class and art projects. They keep her moving with a small group outdoors walk. They accommodate her simpler eating habits when their daily menus are wonderful and always offer several options. But if she wants a toasted peanut butter sandwich....she gets it! She has to be encouraged to surrender her dirty laundry because she prefers to do hand laundry...so one Aid distracts and the other loads her laundry.

I was greeted nicely-both friendly and professional. The team was ready to answer any questions I had and take me on tour of the facilities. I saw several apartments and options for senior living.

Staff was very caring. Went above and beyond to help my aunt. One staff member would help my aunt choose an outfit for the day and help her get dressed. This is something she could have done with a bit of struggle. Caring staff were right there with a solution and my aunt didn't need to struggle. At mealtime someone would let her know and assist her to the dining room. Same with bingo, knowing she liked bingo, someone would let her know it was time for bingo and ask if she wanted help getting there. Since [name removed] was hard of hearing and her vision wasn't the best, she sat by the activity director. The director, [name removed], would assist her if she missed a number. Daily bingo was a big plus when choosing a place! The suites are great. Has everything a regular apartment has, but smaller. Plenty of room for a single person or even a couple. Sunrise willowbrook has various suites, sizes and layouts. Kept clean, personal laundry done, bedding laundered weekly (more often if needed), bed linens provided. If they can assist with special requests, they will. [name removed] loved birds, we asked if we could hang birdseed outside. They put a shepherds' hook a few foot from [name removed] large living room window. The birds came, she had a very nice view and loved watching them. We replaced the bird seed as necessary. The food was sometimes disappointing. This is the only thing about Sunrise that needs improvement, imo (and my aunt's). If they had steak on the menu, it was too tough to cut, let alone chew. Seeing all the steak come back not eaten, should have been a red flag that something was wrong. Easter dinner, my aunt was served a dried up piece of ham. Plus, it was a processed ham. Ham is inexpensive around Easter, I doubt the price would have been much more if a 'real' ham or two was purchased. I ate in the dining room once, stuffed cabbage was very good. Roasted veggies were not edible. [name removed] liked the soup, she almost always ordered soup. There were some good meals, seems as though 'meat' entrees should be avoided. The steak would have been great if after searing, adding some sort of gravy to it (mushroom soup works well) and baking it abt an 45 minutes would have made it tender and delish! Service very slow and items ordered not always served. It may have been just aunt's waiter. We felt the the caring and efficient staff far out weighed the food needing improvement. We'd much rather the food needing improvement than the care!! Care and attentiveness were outstanding!

Tomatoes very nice and all our questions or answered. The facility is very appointed and by watching residents could you could tell they were very pleased with the atmosphere

My Mom moved into Lakewood estates over a year ago and loves it! She has a fantastic group of friends that eat meals together and enjoy patio time, shopping trips and outings together. It is such an improvement over her living alone in her house. I feel so much better knowing she is in a safe community with neighbors looking out for each other. Being in the “Sandwich Generation” raising young kids and aging parents at the same time, I am so grateful I found Lakewood Estates. Pros: safe community, friends and socialization, affordable rent, an amazing property team that keep the grounds beautiful, kind in house management, three meals a day provided, a great variety of apartment choices (with mild memory issues, we were able to choose an apartment without a stove or oven for safety reasons), and lastly the location! A great King Soopers grocery, Target, Whole Foods, Walgreens, movie theater and more are two blocks away in the Belmar shopping center. Cons: Food quality is variable

My husband and I were most impressed with Sunrise. Our tour guide was most cordial and had a packet prepared for us to consider moving my sister to Sunrise. She answered all the questions we had and gave us a lovely tour of the facility. We loved the setting, the fact that exercise could be a part of the resident's day if desired by using the walking trail ,and especially the community pet. While we are not quite ready to move [name removed] , we do feel she would enjoy being a resident there

The facility and staff were very nice I was looking for place for my Mom that was closer to my home.

The staff learn your likes and dislikes fast and are attentive to them, the food is tasty and plentiful ,there is always something to do. I would recommend the community to others.

Has everything Im looking for. Meets my needs for my mother in law. The location is convenient to the family. People seem very friendly. The bathtique is a plus for my family member. We are planning on putting down a deposit this week. This decision is not easy but Sunrise feels like the right fit for our family.

My mother continues to have difficulty getting clear answers when she asks questions about the level of care we are paying for and what she and her sister observe when they visit. We are paying a higher rate because we were told he requires two people for his care, yet when they visit, they often see only one person attending to him. At this point, I would rate #5 as a 4, declining toward a 3, because we never had a formal move-in meeting and it remains difficult to get clear answers regarding billing and care. #4 would have been a 4 or 5, but he recently fell in his room and had to be taken to the ER, which is concerning. #8 is a 3 because we continue to receive new charges without adequate explanations of what they are for or why they are being added. Overall, I would rate the experience a 5, declining toward a 4. The ongoing additional charges and lack of clarity around care and billing are becoming serious concerns and may affect our future plans for my mother.

Staff have been very welcoming and friendly. My Mom commented that they all knew her by name as soon as she moved in. She says the food is very tasty with a good selection. She also said they are extremely helpful with her daily care and assistance.

The staff is very attentive and caring. They have a lot of patience in situations that are often difficult. The apartments were beautifully designed-more storage space than we had thought. Residents in independent living were very complimentary about Sunrise. We would recommend Sunrise to other families an the experience we have had

The staff and very lovely. The room has a nice view but is small. The food is delicious. It is a very happy and clean facility. The negative is the cost of $[removed]per month and they encourage most residents to have part time aides. We have an aide 4 hours per day and that is an additional $[removed]per month.

Very impressed with tour. Alot of information was given. Services explained in detail and pricing. Nice to see interaction with staff and residents.

Too expensive and everything you need is extremely expensive as well. I didn’t get a good feeling as to how much help she would get if she needed.

The staff are very helpful and take great care of my mother-in-law most of the time. They offered daily activities whether she wants to participate or not, they tried to encourage her. The food appears to be good and they offer several options for her to choose from. Her room is a one bedroom with a bathroom that has a little kitchenette and we provided all her furnishings including bed table TV and refrigerator for her favorite drinks. Overall her stay has been good.

This is an amazing place. Feels like home beautiful rooms, game areas and dining room. Areas to walk dogs and views of mountains friendly people I felt comfortable with the facility and will put high on my list to move there. Lady was totally open to answer all my questions and show me everything available to me even the exercise room and laundry facilities. Was very happy with the tour seems to be a great place.
