My mom loves this place !! My only complaint is they need to hire more help!!

The staff at Sunrise of Overland Park strives for excellence. They communicate well, respond to any concerns right away, and provide what they promise. What I appreciate most is they work together to provide an above-average living experience of those in memory care. They get to know each resident, encouraging them - and having fun with them. The price I list reflects the fact that we purchased two rooms for her, not just one. I’m thrilled there is an excellent place for Mom not too far from me.

I someone would have told me about how WONDERFUL this place is, i would not have believed them. My darling wife is here in Reminiscence. The staff takes loving care of all the residents. How do i know. I virtually live here with my wife, three-to-five hours a day. I see the love that they have, the caring, the efforts that they put it. There are a lot of people in Reminiscence, and a dedicated stuff which do a lot to help the residents. There are activities adjusted for the residents. A sense of optimism, joy, dedication, holiness pervade this wonderful place. In all, i am thrilled that my darling is here. i am sad that life turned out this way, but eternally grateful to G-d that HE guided me here, and that i made the absolutely right decision. For those of you interested, i'm always available through the organization to share my experiences.

My mom has been at Sunrise for 7 months and it was an excellent decision for her to move there. The staff is so warm and personable, she is always freshly bathed, dressed in a coordinated outfit (including jewelry), and her room is spotless. The bistro is stocked with coffee, cold drinks, and freshly baked goods, and the other residents and their relatives are a pleasure to visit. My mom enjoys the activities and trips to restaurants and the theater. The doctors, nursing staff, and care givers communicate any changes or questions. In addition, holidays like Mother’s Day and Thanksgiving are always celebrated with wonderful, festive parties where they have balloons, live entertainment, and food and drinks. It has been an extremely positive experience for the whole family, and we feel extremely grateful to have found Sunrise!

My friend, 78 has settled in 5 months now. Of course there is an adjustment period, after her leaving her home of 35 years. After a while, a new routine takes over, friends are made and activities keep life in Bedford Court a joy. Visitors are welcome. The mall out front has everything needed and the professional building houses doctors offices. Buses take her every where. No need for a car anymore. Having someone to look after her everyday, feed her restaurant style food in a dining room and concierge for daily needs reflect a wonderful and safe atmosphere for its tenants. When she needs nursing or assistance, they have a plan in another building.

My mother has lived at Stratford Court for nearly six years and I cannot say enough positive things about this very special place. Although the facility itself is comfortable, well maintained, and meticulous, it’s the staff that impresses me. I am an only child and live in New England, and the staff has been there for my mother through two broken hips, pneumonia, and assorted falls. The Resident Services Coordinator, Dining Room Director and staff, front desk staff, on site health professionals, custodial staff, and everyone else I’ve met has consistently gone above and beyond to help my mom in both large and small ways. They’ve made us feel as though her wish is their command and that nothing either of us ask is ever an imposition. I am so grateful for Stratford and its incredible staff, who are an extended family for all those lucky enough to be residents.

[Name removed] was most gracious and took me on a very comprehensive tour of this wonderful facility. It is brilliantly designed for appeal and efficiency and also to make the most of the spectacular landscape.

Our tour happened the same night at their "fall festival" and we couldn't have been more impressed with the heart of this place. The residents all looked so happy and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

My mother stayed in Sunrise for 9 months when recovering from a stroke. The care and help she was given was phenomenal. Although she would have rather been in her own home, this was the next best place. We were able to come and have breakfast, lunch, or dinner with her, and the food was top notch. She was able to walk the grounds and also visit Walgreens nearby and ShopKo with one of the workers by her side. She was taken to various places to eat outside of Sunrise with employees assisting her. They also had many activities for families to become involved in and enjoy with their loved ones who were living at Sunrise. What a beautiful environment they have created for those living at Sunrise. I highly recommend Sunrise in Sandy, Utah without any reservations.

My parents lived at Huntington Common in an apartment for nearly two years, and then my mom passed away. My dad continues to live there on his own. I can't rave enough about the facility and amazing staff. It's a beautiful place and a warm, supportive, caring community with lots of activities that bring people together. When my mom entered hospice care, the wellness staff coordinated seamlessly to make sure she had loving support to the end of her life, and have continued to support my dad's transition to life without her.

My mother has been a resident at Sunrise for 2 years this month. Moving her to assisted living was a very difficult and emotional decision. The sales director, [name removed], made the process (tour, apartment selection, pricing, etc.) easier. The care managers (those who assist mom daily) are wonderful; all of them. They treat mom like family- seriously. They sit with her when she feels down and cheer her up. They individualize her care by understanding her preference for everything from outfits and hair style, to making sure she gets to the Bistro every afternoon for coffee. They make her laugh, they enjoy her humor, and they make her feel so loved and cared for. The management staff, from the executive director and nurses to the concierge and chef also check on mom, laugh with her, and make sure she is getting the level of care expected from mom and me. Changes in diet, prescriptions, and other specific needs are managed effectively, efficiently, and with genuine care and love. Finally, the facility is beautiful, very clean, and offers a community kitchen that I use often to cook meals for special occasions. This allows us to bring our family together, which always makes mom happy. Sunrise cares and it really has become our extended family.

The Sunrise of East Meadow was very nicely decorated. Very friendly staff and very clean. [Name removed] was very impressed. [Name removed] was very helpful with the tour and information.

Excellent facility. Very professional and impressive tour. This will probably be our choice if my dad decides to move to Texas. Gorgeous rooms and so conveniently located.

Beautiful premises, like a grand mansion, with pleasant ambience, not overwhelming but big enough to offer plenty of activities and stimulation. Staff seems competent, professional, on top of things. Updated lovely rooms, well-designed as everything is easy to get to-salon, nurse office, dining room. Policies and cost seem reasonable and in line with other facilities though this place is more updated than most others. Residents seemed pretty happy. Nice touches like everyone has a personal photo frame at their door and name plate, birthdays celebrated, features veterans photos displays, etc. Very impressive. Not depressing at all. Director took plenty of time to answer all my questions, knew me by name, and seemed to really care. Visitor parking is a little bit tight though there are spaces in back, but that's not unusual for these facilities I found out. Because it's not large though, not alot of choice in rooms-you have to get one when it comes up.
